ITAM has been a C-suite issue for a long time. ServiceNow is now putting numbers behind it. According to ServiceNow's latest ITAM research, 38% of ITAM teams now report directly to a CxO, up from 30% in 2023. For those of us who have spent decades working with CIOs, CFOs, CISOs, and technology leaders, this isn't a surprising trend. Technology assets have always influenced business outcomes. What's changing is that more organizations are aligning ownership with the strategic importance of the data. Accurate asset intelligence impacts: • Technology investment decisions • Security and cyber risk • Financial planning and lifecycle management • Operational resilience and service quality • AI readiness and enterprise transformation At Polaris Technology Group, we've spent more than two decades helping organizations connect technology assets to business outcomes. It's also why our patented Asset Lifecycle Optimization approach was developed: to help enterprises make more confident operational and financial decisions from trusted asset data. #ServiceNow #ITAM #AssetManagement #CIO #CFO #CISO #EnterpriseArchitecture #CMDB #DigitalTransformation #AIReadiness

We don't start with software. We start with the business. Too many digital transformation projects begin with product demos, feature comparisons, and technology discussions. That's the wrong starting point. Before recommending any solution, we ask different questions: • Where are your operational bottlenecks? • Which processes are slowing your team down? • Where is data being duplicated? • What decisions are being made without visibility? • Which manual tasks consume the most time? Technology is only valuable when it solves the right business problem. Our approach starts with understanding your operations, mapping your processes, identifying business gaps, and then designing solutions that create measurable impact. At Interconnection Technologies, we don't sell software. We help businesses build connected, efficient, and scalable operations. If there's one process in your business that's creating delays, unnecessary manual work, or limiting growth... Message "GAP ANALYSIS" and let's have a focused conversation about how to improve it. #DigitalTransformation #BusinessConsulting #ERP #BusinessAutomation #ProcessImprovement #BusinessTransformation #ArtificialIntelligence #CloudComputing #CyberSecurity #SystemIntegration #BusinessGrowth #DigitalStrategy #SME #Innovation #InterconnectionTechnologies

Technology should drive your business forward. If it is not, something is misaligned. Most growing businesses make IT decisions reactively, buying tools when something breaks, upgrading when forced and spending without a clear picture of what is actually working. The result is bloated costs, security gaps and a tech stack that no one fully understands. At GSoft, our IT consulting service gives businesses the strategic clarity they need. We audit your current setup, identify waste and risk, and build a technology roadmap aligned to where your business is actually going. No vendor bias. No unnecessary complexity. Just honest, practical advice with a business case behind every recommendation. Book your free IT strategy session today. The biggest governance risk in your business probably isn't a security issue. It's operational inconsistency. One team builds a workflow. Another creates a spreadsheet. A third develops a custom solution. Individually, each decision makes sense. Collectively, they create an operating model that's difficult to scale, expensive to maintain, and increasingly risky to change. That's why governance isn't just about compliance. It's about ensuring every process, workflow, automation, and business application evolves in a way that's consistent, accountable, and aligned with the business. Organizations that treat governance as a business capability—not just an IT function—are better positioned to adapt, innovate, and grow without adding unnecessary complexity. If you're leading digital transformation, enterprise architecture, business process management, or business software modernization, these are 5 five governance mistakes worth avoiding. #BusinessSoftware #EnterpriseOperations #BusinessProcessManagement #DigitalTransformation #EnterpriseArchitecture #OperationalExcellence #WorkflowAutomation #BusinessGovernance #OperationalAgility #EnterpriseTechnology #BusinessTransformation #Beezr

Organizations Don't Lose Value at the End. They Lose It Along the Way. Organizations invest millions in strategy, technology, transformation, and talent with the expectation of creating enterprise value. Yet despite disciplined planning, capable leadership, and significant investment, many still fall short of realizing the outcomes they intended. The question is not whether organizations execute enough work. The question is: where does the value go? Throughout my career leading projects, programs, portfolios, and enterprise transformations across financial services, healthcare, life sciences, retail, government, technology, and professional services, I have observed one remarkably consistent pattern. Organizations rarely fail because of poor strategy. More often, they underperform because enterprise value gradually leaks across fragmented organizational boundaries. Decision latency. Competing priorities. Funding friction. Governance disconnects. Technology misalignment. Dependency failures. Execution drift. Benefits erosion. Each appears manageable in isolation. Collectively, they reduce enterprise value well before transformation is complete. This observation became the foundation for what I call the Enterprise Value Leakage Continuum™. The Continuum illustrates how value progressively leaks as work moves from strategy through capital allocation, governance, portfolio decisions, enterprise architecture, technology, operations, execution, and organizational adoption. The problem is seldom projects, programs, or portfolios in isolation. The issue is a lack of executive capability to coordinate the enterprise as an integrated system. The implications extend well beyond delivery performance. Enterprise value leakage distorts investment returns, complicates workforce and resource planning, slows executive decision-making, increases organizational friction, and redirects scarce capacity toward rework instead of innovation. That realization has shaped my ongoing research into Enterprise Execution™. Enterprise Execution™ is the executive discipline responsible for continuously protecting enterprise value by orchestrating strategy, governance, investment, portfolio management, execution, and value realization as a single integrated enterprise system. As organizations navigate AI adoption, constrained investment, geopolitical uncertainty, and accelerating change, protecting enterprise value may become just as important as creating it. Because organizations don't lose value at the end. They lose it along the way. My Question: If enterprise value leaks across organizational boundaries rather than within individual functions, what executive capability should be responsible for protecting it?

What if I told you that Enterprise Architecture could become one of the largest drivers of cost savings, cybersecurity, and innovation across your organization? That's the idea behind CARES (Consolidation and Reduction of Enterprise Software)—our approach to transforming technology investments into measurable business value. For years, Enterprise Architecture has been viewed primarily as a governance function focused on standards and compliance. But what if it became something much bigger? What if Enterprise Architecture could answer questions like: Where are we spending money on duplicate capabilities? Which applications perform the same business functions? How can we reduce our cyber attack surface? Which enterprise tools can replace multiple point solutions? How do we ensure technology investments align with the mission before taxpayer dollars are spent? These questions inspired CARES, bringing together Enterprise Architecture, IT Demand Management (ITDM), Technology Business Management (TBM), Capital Planning and Investment Control (CPIC), Technology Architecture Board (TAB) governance, Software Asset Management, and AI-enabled decision intelligence into one enterprise approach. I'm fortunate to be leading this effort alongside Addison Blackburn, USCIS Chief Enterprise Architect, and an outstanding team demonstrating how Enterprise Architecture can become a strategic business capability. CARES goes beyond inventorying software. It helps organizations understand why software exists, what business capabilities it supports, how it's used, what it costs, and whether an enterprise solution already exists. By combining governance, business architecture, data, and AI, organizations can reduce redundant software, optimize cloud and licensing costs, strengthen cybersecurity, standardize technology, and make faster investment decisions. This approach has already identified millions of dollars in potential cost savings and cost avoidance through software rationalization, contract consolidation, license optimization, and enterprise standardization. Enterprise Architecture shouldn't just document the enterprise—it should continuously improve it. A special thank you to the visionary leadership and incredible team at USCIS for embracing innovation and helping demonstrate what's possible when Enterprise Architecture, governance, and AI work together. How is your organization using Enterprise Architecture to drive measurable business value? #ArchSystems #EnterpriseArchitecture #DigitalTransformation #ArtificialIntelligence #GovernmentIT #CPIC #TBM #Innovation #Cybersecurity #BusinessArchitecture #AIEA #CARES The views expressed are my own and do not necessarily represent the views of USCIS or the U.S. Government.

🚀 Why do £1B Defence Transformation Programmes fail despite having the right technology? Because technology isn't the constraint anymore. Enterprise transformation is. Across defence organizations, billions are invested in AI, cloud, digital engineering, cyber, ERP modernization, autonomous systems, and mission platforms. Yet many programmes still experience "30–70% budget overruns, 20–50% schedule delays, and 40–80% capability gaps". Problem isn't the technology stack, it's the enterprise operating model behind it. Most programmes still: • Buy technology before defining mission capability. • Carry 30–50% redundant applications and decades of technical debt. • Spend 60–70% of IT budgets maintaining legacy systems. • Lose 25–45% of delivery effort on integration complexity. • Launch AI before fixing data, governance, security, and workforce readiness, leaving 60–80% of AI initiatives unable to scale. Successful defence transformation starts with "Mission Architecture", then aligns Enterprise, Operational, Security, Data, Integration, Digital Engineering, and Technology Architectures into a single mission-focused operating model. Executive success should be measured by outcomes not activity: 1. Mission Success Rate >95% 2. Operational Readiness >90% 3. Decision Cycle Reduction 40–70% 4. Legacy Reduction 30–50% 5. Platform Availability 99.95%+ 6. Zero Trust Coverage >95% 7. Trusted Data Quality >95% 8. Operational Cost Reduction 20–35% Organisations creating strategic advantage are not deploying more technology, they are engineering an enterprise that can continuously integrate, secure, adapt, and deliver mission capability at scale. "Transformation is not a procurement programme. It is an enterprise capability programme." What capability is your organisation transforming first technology, or the enterprise itself? 💬 Let's discuss how Enterprise Architecture, AI, Digital Engineering, and Mission Operating Models can improve defence transformation outcomes. #Defence #DigitalTransformation #EnterpriseArchitecture #DefenceTechnology #MissionEngineering #SystemsEngineering #DigitalEngineering #ArtificialIntelligence #CyberSecurity #Cloud #ProgrammeManagement #TransformationLeadership #DefenceInnovation #Leadership #Strategy #MD #President #CXO #CIO #CTO #CFO #CEO #COO #CDO Disclaimer: Metrics are representative industry benchmarks and should be validated against individual programme objectives, operational environments, and organisational context.
