Job Description – Indoor RF Planning Engineer Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Indoor RF Planning Engineer specializing in DAS, Small Cell, and Pico Cell deployments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise with industry-standard RF planning tools and a strong understanding of LTE and 5G NR propagation in indoor environments. Key Responsibilities: Plan and design Indoor Small Cell and DAS-based solutions for enterprise and operator customers. Utilize tools such as RANPLAN, ATOLL, iBwave (or similar) for indoor RF design. Upload and manage indoor design plans within RF Planning tools. Prepare High-Level Design (HLD) documents and Site Survey Reports. Verify survey reports and create BoM (Bill of Materials) for project execution. Collaborate with site acquisition, civil, and installation teams for smooth implementation. Validate and update indoor models using walk-test and drive-test data (TEMS, NEMO). Recommend antenna placements, cable routing, and power budget estimations. Ensure seamless integration of enterprise Wi-Fi with cellular indoor coverage. Required Skills & Experience: Strong knowledge of Indoor RF Planning (DAS, Small Cell, Pico Cell). Hands-on experience with RANPLAN, ATOLL, iBwave or equivalent tools. Proficiency in LTE, 5G NR, and multi-band RF propagation. Experience with DAS architecture and indoor deployments. Familiarity with operators/vendors such as Ericsson, Nokia, Huawei, CommScope. Ability to prepare HLD, BoM, and survey validation reports. Knowledge of enterprise Wi-Fi integration with cellular coverage. Preferred Qualifications: 3–6 years of experience in Indoor RF Planning. Prior exposure to operator/vendor projects. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
