Last week, I wrapped up my summer internship at Round Ground Metals, Inc. I am grateful for my opportunity to experience office life and give support on day to day operations. I worked with many departments including Production Planning, Shipping and Receiving, Purchasing, and Pricing. No matter which one I assisted, I learned that one job is not done without the help of another. At RGM, it is all about teamwork to reach the high quality standards of products. While I was assisting in more general business based tasks, I had the chance to help prepare the company for an audit. I contributed by getting the vendor certifications up to date and organizing paper trials that would soon be looked at for correct operations. I am headed back to Saint Mary’s with a better knowledge of business, and I look forward to using my experience towards my education!
