As part of our continued development, we would like to share a few updates within our leadership team. After years of dedicated leadership as CEO, Peter Vooijs is handing over the CEO role to Bastiaan de Koning. At the same time, Peter will remain closely involved in the organization as CTO Executive, continuing to focus on technology, innovation and the further development of our capabilities. We are also pleased to welcome Maurits de Jong to the Board as Director of Engineering & Business Operations. In this role, Maurits will be responsible for helping to further strengthen operational excellence across the organization. These changes reflect our commitment to continuous improvement, clear responsibilities and sustainable growth. Most importantly, they ensure that we continue building on the strong foundation that has brought us to where we are today. Voor onze benjamin Maurits de Jong toch even een aparte reactie. We zaten tegenover elkaar in het begin van je carrière bij VDL ETG. Op maandag standaard nog zwarte handen van het sleutelen aan je motor 😉 Gepassioneerd, betrokken en altijd oog voor de mens, heb jij je rol in de directie meer dan verdiend!! Je bent nog jong en gaat nog veel leren, maar je hebt goeie mensen om je heen die jou hiermee gaan ondersteunen. Uiteraard zal ik er altijd voor je zijn als “coach”. Veel succes 🤞

Maurits de Jong heel veel succes gewenst!! 🎉 Ik weet nog dat ik bij Smink Kerkrade binnen kwam lopen en jou in de cleanroom zag. Je was je collega’s iets aan het uitleggen, en ze hingen aan je lippen :-) Dat moment is mij heel erg bijgebleven: energie, passie, toewijding, vertrouwen, leiderschap, betrokkenheid, zag ik voorbijkomen. Ik gun je alle succes en heb er vertrouwen in dat je op jouw manier iets heel moois gaat neerzetten!
