Data sovereignty and managed cloud verification don't have to be a tradeoff anymore. SonarQube Cloud now supports GitHub Enterprise Cloud with data residency. If your org runs on a GHE.com subdomain, you can bind it to SonarQube Cloud, keep your code inside your residency boundary, and still get the same zero trust verification across every repo and every agent. No infrastructure to stand up yourself. Great news for financial services, healthcare, automotive, and defense teams working under strict data sovereignty requirements. SonarQube Cloud now supports GitHub Enterprise Cloud with data residency (GHE.com). If your org runs GitHub on a dedicated subdomain like yourcompany.ghe.com, you can bind it straight to SonarQube Cloud! Bulk-import your existing repos, turn on auto-import for new ones, and everything gets our zero trust, multilayered verification from day one – no CI setup needed. This is especially good news if you're in financial services, healthcare, automotive, or defense, where data sovereignty requirements have made a managed, cloud-based analysis path hard to come by. HashiCorp Boundary has introduced official Helm charts for deploying controllers and workers on Kubernetes, streamlining the process of implementation. I found it interesting that these charts can be tailored to different deployment models, making it easier for teams to adopt Boundary. How do you see these tools influencing your cloud strategies?

Are you sure your junior developers or automated CI/CD pipelines can't escalate themselves to Administrator? One of the most common misconfigurations in cloud security is granting `iam:PassRole` on `*` (all resources) alongside the permission to create or modify services like AWS Lambda, EC2, or Glue. If a user has `iam:PassRole` and `lambda:CreateFunction`, they can simply write a malicious Lambda script, assign it an existing admin role (like the service role for EC2 or Glue), execute it, and instantly gain admin control over the entire AWS account. To audit your AWS environment for this privilege escalation vulnerability, run the following AWS CLI command to list all IAM policies and check for dangerous PassRole on wildcard resources: `aws iam get-account-authorization-details --filter LocalManagedPolicy --query "Policies[].PolicyVersionList[].Document.Statement[?contains(to_array(Action),'iam:PassRole') && Resource=='*']"` Followed by inspecting the specific policy document to check if `iam:PassRole` is limited to specific ARNs: `aws iam get-policy-version --policy-arn arn:aws:iam::123456789012:policy/MyPolicy --version-id v1` Ensure your `iam:PassRole` policy always restricts the `Resource` block to the specific Service Role ARNs the user absolutely needs, rather than leaving it as `*`. How often does your team scan your AWS IAM policies for wildcard PassRole permissions? #CloudSecurity #AWS #IAM #SecurityEngineering #DevSecOps #ThreatHunting

Syncian Plugin Leverages Cloudflare R2 for E2E Encrypted Obsidian Sync The launch of Syncian, a new plugin for Obsidian, signifies a growing trend in leveraging low-cost, high-performance object storage like Cloudflare R2 for end-to-end encrypted data synchronization. For cloud and DevOps practitioners, this demonstrates the increasing viability of decentralized, secure data management solutions outside traditional cloud provider ecosystems. It highlights how developers can combine specialized cloud services with robust cryptographic practices to offer compelling alternatives for sensitive data, pushing the boundaries of personal and small-team data sovereignty and privacy. https://lnkd.in/e2BMT2sn
