We’re taking an important next step in our Asia-Pacific Region! By partnering with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB), we’re expanding our innovation, commercial and operations footprint across the region. Singapore will become home to our new Innovation Center for Affordable Hearing Solutions and headquarters to our APAC (excluding China) region. These investments directly support the strategic priorities we announced last week: innovating closer to our customers, scaling with discipline and expanding access to hearing care for millions. By developing solutions tailored to Asian customers and consumers and improving regional execution, we are unlocking APAC’s growth potential and creating new opportunities for Sonova to deliver sustainable, profitable growth. A major innovation initiative has just been announced in Ho Chi Minh City. The North Ho Chi Minh City of Science & Technology is a large-scale project aimed at strengthening Vietnam’s position in innovation, research, high-tech and semi-conductor manufacturing and talent development. The idea behind the initiative is straightforward: create an environment where research, education, technology testing, and advanced production are connected within one ecosystem. Regions that manage to combine these elements effectively often become long-term innovation hubs. Part of the project involves transforming the former Binh Duong Admin Center into a science and technology hub that will serve as the core of a broader innovation district linked to international industry and educational partners. For those who follow global innovation ecosystems, the direction is a proven method. In several ways, this approach reflects elements that have proven successful in regions such as Brainport Eindhoven, where close collaboration within the Triple Helix (government, companies, and knowledge institutions) has helped create an integrated innovation environment. Rather than focusing only on industrial parks or technology campuses, successful regions increasingly build ecosystems that connect talent, research, companies, and capital. It is interesting to see Vietnam moving further in this direction, with partners from government, industry, and academia working together to create a new growth pole for the southern economic region. The next step will be strengthening connections between these emerging ecosystems globally, linking European innovation regions such as Brainport with fast-growing technology hubs across Asia. #Vietnam #InnovationEcosystems #Becamex

This is a game changer for our customers in Australia and New Zealand. Sonova’s APAC HQ in Singapore strengthens our ability to support the markets, collaborate with our regional teams, and deliver even better solutions for the people we serve every day.
Asia Pacific is diverse, fast-growing, and full of opportunity for Sonova Group. Establishing our regional headquarters in Singapore gives us a true gateway to the region. It brings decision-making closer to our markets and strengthens how we activate brands and channels country by country – something that is essential in a region as dynamic and diverse as APAC. I truly appreciate the forward-looking collaboration with Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB) team – thank you John Eng and Wan Yee Goh for the constructive discussions and for the shared commitment to sustainable growth. Vietnam is no longer just a manufacturing base. North Ho Chi Minh City is starting to prove it. One of the more telling developments in the region is not about new construction, but the repositioning of existing assets. The former Binh Duong Administrative Center is being transformed by Becamex IDC Vietnam into an R&D-driven environment, embedded within the wider science and technology ecosystem in Northern Ho Chi Minh City. That shift matters. Because the question for many regions is no longer how to attract manufacturing, but how to move up the value chain. This is where most strategies remain conceptual, and where execution starts to separate regions. In this case, the conditions are already taking shape. Immediate access to high-quality infrastructure, combined with facilities for R&D, semiconductor design, and Centres of Excellence. All of it connected to a broader industrial backbone, international networks, and existing production capacity. That combination changes the role of the region. Not as a location for production alone, but as an environment where companies can move from development to manufacturing in one system. For companies and investors, that reduces complexity. Lower upfront investment, faster setup, and direct access to both talent and industry. For policymakers and regional developers, it raises a different question. If this is the direction of travel, how quickly can you create similar conditions? Because the shift is already happening. And the regions that move first tend to define the next phase of growth. #NHCMC #CITYOFSCIENCETECHNOLOGY

🇸🇬 Decades of investment in talent, infrastructure, and connectivity have made #Singapore one of the most stable bases for global tech companies expanding into Asia. Founders are increasingly building across both the US and Asia, with Singapore emerging as a second centre of gravity. For companies like AlphaSense and Multiplier Holdings, Singapore is evolving beyond a regional outpost into a second base — enabling team build-out, market access, and growth across regions. 🌎 Read the full feature on The Economist to hear from Noah Pepper and Kiva Kolstein on building across the US and Asia, and how Singapore and platforms like SG Growth Capital support that expansion. 🔗: https://lnkd.in/gKxfXZwv Heng-Tong CHOO | Paul Ng, CFA | Chia Li Yeung | Charmaine Kng | Christine Giam | Serene Keng | EDBI Pte Ltd | Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB)

Brands from North East Asia are evolving into regional brand organisations, built to operate seamlessly across cultures, markets and industries. This shift goes beyond geographic expansion. It represents a fundamental transformation of brands at a regional level and Singapore has increasingly become central to this evolution. Singapore serves as a strategic platform where North East Asian companies translate their brands beyond domestic contexts, align regional operations, and establish the foundations needed to scale across Southeast Asia and the broader Asia Pacific region Many North East Asian companies already lead globally in technology, manufacturing, healthcare, construction and consumer innovation. However, domestic success does not automatically translate into regional relevance. As organisations enter Southeast Asia and Asia Pacific, they are confronted with fundamental strategic questions: — How does our brand communicate effectively across diverse cultures? — How do we align corporate reputation with commercial growth? — How do we empower regional teams to execute with strategic coherence? Farzana Arsad, General Manager, shares her perspective on how this is shaping organisations today. Read more: https://lnkd.in/gNbW7nnS #SR #BrandStrategy #AsiaPacific #EmployerBranding

Costa Rica has strengthened its international investment strategy by opening a new PROCOMER office in Singapore, a major financial and logistics hub in Asia. This initiative aims to diversify sources of foreign direct investment and attract high-value projects in sectors such as technology, software, and advanced manufacturing. By establishing a presence in a key decision-making center for global companies, Costa Rica seeks to enhance its competitiveness, reduce exposure to economic volatility, and create new opportunities for its workforce. The Singapore office is part of a broader global expansion strategy that includes recent openings in Silicon Valley and Jerusalem, targeting innovation and high-tech industries. Through its global network, PROCOMER facilitates connections between foreign investors and Costa Rica’s business ecosystem and promotes sectors such as semiconductors, electronics, and medical devices. Overall, this approach reflects Costa Rica’s focus on positioning itself as a reliable, high-value destination within evolving global supply chains. www.latamfdi.com

Everyone talks about expanding into Vietnam. Fewer actually get on the plane and figure it out. I recently flew into Ho Chi Minh City with two friends, Donovan and Ericz, and we kept it simple: no tourist agenda, just a full day of conversations and ground-level learning. We went from legal deep dives, to purpose-driven businesses, to honest discussions around talent and hiring. Every meeting added a new layer of understanding, not just how things look on paper, but how they actually operate on the ground. We explored the banking landscape, looked into developments in the pharmaceutical space, and spent time with operators who are actively building in Vietnam. The kind of insights you won’t find in reports or decks. And somewhere between back-to-back meetings, the day shifted — sake bar, late-night conversations, and we wrapped up with a Lunar New Year performance by Coca-Cola. Yes, it was a business trip. But more importantly, it was about building real relationships, understanding the market firsthand, and creating bridges between Singapore 🇸🇬 and Vietnam 🇻🇳. Because expansion isn’t just strategy. It’s presence.
