Tata Consultancy Services and ABB are taking a 20-year partnership into the AI era. The new multi-million, multi-year engagement will move TCS beyond managing ABB’s infrastructure and applications—to running its end-to-end global network operations through an integrated Network-as-a-Service model. At the centre is ABB’s Future Network Model programme. TCS will design, integrate and operate a secure, standardised and AI-driven network ecosystem across ABB’s global operations. The programme will bring together centralised service management, a global network operations centre, stronger security capabilities, and modernised LAN, WAN and software-defined WAN systems. The strategic shift is significant: AI is not being added as a standalone tool. It is being embedded directly into the network operating model to improve reliability, efficiency, security and scalability. The partnership has already supported ABB’s ERP consolidation and cloud transformation. This next phase shows how long-term enterprise relationships can evolve across technology cycles instead of ending with one implementation. Could AI-managed network operations become the new standard for global enterprises? Morten Wierod K Krithivasan #TCS #ABB #ArtificialIntelligence #DigitalTransformation #BusinessDeal #Zurich #Mumbai
