Dear readers,
there are now only two months left until InnoTrans 2026. The promotional banners are already up on the Messe Berlin buildings, and much of the planning has already been finalized. And I can tell you: something BIG is coming our way.
Without giving too much away: InnoTrans will be more international than ever before. With the EU-Africa Transport Dialogue, we’ve added a brand-new, high-profile event to the program. And InnoTrans is growing across all its segments, too. Wow! Just wow!
And there’s something else that will be new: For the first time, there will be a fully equipped podcast studio on the InnoTrans grounds just for you. We all know how loud and bustling everyday life at the trade show can be. With the podcast studio, we’re now creating a space that allows for audio recordings under professional conditions. For you: First podcast studio on InnoTrans ground
For the first time, InnoTrans 2026 will feature a professionally equipped podcast studio that will be available free of charge to exhibitors, media representatives, and content creators.
Where? Room Kassel 2 in Hall 5.3, directly across from the Sommergarten.
When? September 22 (starting at 1:00 p.m.) through September 25 (3:00 p.m.).

InnoTrans 2026 will be more international than ever
To mark its 30th anniversary, InnoTrans 2026 is setting new standards in terms of international participation. Exhibitors, delegations, associations and decision-makers from every continent are turning the event into a global platform for innovation, exchange and international cooperation.
A particular highlight of this year’s InnoTrans: for the first time, the California High-Speed Rail Authority – which has been sending trade visitors to Berlin for many years – is presenting itself with its own stand at InnoTrans. Overall, participation from the USA is very strong: around 50 exhibitors, including industry leaders such as Progress Rail, A Caterpillar Company , Wabtec Corporation and Amsted Rail , underline the importance of InnoTrans for the North American market.

111 vehicles at InnoTrans 2026, premiere for CAF
111 vehicles will be on display on the track area at InnoTrans 2026. We are overwhelmed by this number.
All of the vehicles are special: They’re making their world debut in Berlin, represent groundbreaking technological innovations, and offer solutions to current mobility challenges.
One vehicle stands out for another reason: The Spanish exhibitor CAF (Construcciones y Auxiliar de Ferrocarriles) has been a regular at InnoTrans for many, many years. In 2026, they’ll be presenting their own vehicle for the first time: the BEMU for North Rhine-Westphalia.
Visitors will have the opportunity to experience the Civity BEMU, CAF’s battery-electric multiple unit developed to support the decarbonization of rail transport through efficient and sustainable operations. Bringing a train to Berlin also reflects CAF’s strong commitment to sustainable mobility and its longstanding connection to InnoTrans.

Growth in Segments Tunnel Construction and Railway Infrastructure
The Tunnel Construction and Railway Infrastructure segments are set to continue their growth trajectory at InnoTrans 2026. Together, the nearly 600 exhibitors in this section of the leading trade fair for Transport Technology will occupy more than 32,000 square metres at the fully booked Berlin Exhibition Grounds. This represents a 5 per cent increase in the number of exhibitors compared with the previous InnoTrans in 2024.
From digital planning and monitoring systems to innovative construction methods and sustainable solutions for Tunnel Construction and infrastructure management, companies and institutions will be presenting their latest in Berlin. Among the largest exhibitors in the Tunnel Construction and Railway Infrastructure sectors are FOGTEC® Fire Protection , Orascom Construction PLC , Vossloh , voestalpine , Pandrol , LEONHARD WEISS GmbH & Co.
