Introducing: Dutch Bros Summer 2021 Interns
Each year, Dutch Bros welcomes an outstanding group of interns to be part of our crew at HQ. The internship program is designed for students pursuing an academic degree and creates an opportunity for students to use their skills in a professional environment. It aims to help students gain real-world experience and a better understanding of career options.
As Dutch Bros grows, the program grows and we’re stoked to introduce 12 interns this summer:
To kick off the summer internship, we asked our gang why they’re pumped to be part of the team. Many have joined us from shops and are looking forward to seeing behind-the-scenes at HQ and applying what they’re learning to real-life scenarios.
“Previously, I had only worked service-level jobs, and now I can get to know what a work day might look like once I establish my career path,” said Ryan DelVaglio, facilities intern. “I’m also excited to learn how my department works with other departments to accomplish company goals, and to be a part of the growth process as a whole.”
Product Brand Intern Leah Urena came from our shops in Elk Grove, California. “Ever since I started working at Dutch Bros in summer 2018, I knew I wanted to grow within the company,” said Leah. “Not only will I be working with a company that has a special place in my heart, but I get to work alongside an amazing team that helps make the magic happen at the stands.”
One of the best parts of the summer internship program is the enthusiasm the students bring to each department. “I previously worked as a broista for over four years and fell in love with the culture of the company,” said Jacob McCormack, law clerk. “Legal work can be pretty dry, but doing it for a company I love makes the work so much more rewarding.”
When we asked E-Commerce Intern Donald Murray why he applied, he said, “E-commerce is a growing sector with a very bright future. I wanted to get the experience of online retail since the industry will keep growing, but also with a company that I love!”
Product Brand and R&D Intern Sam Pittmon had a similar response. “I applied for this position because I am passionate about the marketing aspects of a successful business,” said Sam. “Getting the chance to sit in on meetings with all the different marketing and operation teams provides experience that can’t be given in school.”
Our teams at HQ can’t wait to work alongside the summer interns and be part of their career journey, wherever it takes them!
There's something about the Dutch Bros. culture...you can feel it in the air when you order up your mocha in the morning. Some kinda magic... Steve Rice
Looking forward to y'all continuing to move to Texas. I need my fix.
I am lucky enough to bother a few of them nearly every day! So happy to have their love of Dutch and their love of learning power us each day!
What a great internship and a great company!
I’m interested in applying for an internship anytime available. When are you usual application periods and where can I apply?
