Trading results for the 13 weeks ending 25th January 2026.

  • Group like-for-like (LFL) sales up 2.8%
  • Total sales up 2.6% to £4.1 billion
  • Strong performance at seasonal events, including a much improved Christmas
  • Price index continues to improve, with investment in lower prices driving immediate volume increases on key lines
  • Personalised loyalty offers delivering record redemption rates
  • Strong performance from Online with good growth in the period and improved market share year-on-year in Q1
  • Further £49m of cost savings delivered in the quarter, taking the total to £894m since the start of the programme

Morrisons becomes first UK supermarket to make all its accessible bathrooms stoma friendly

Morrisons is proud to announce all accessible toilets in its supermarkets, across England, Scotland and Wales are now stoma-friendly. The initiative aims to support independence, dignity and comfort for people living with a stoma and has been rolled out following customer feedback.

Morrisons Backs British Farming With £1.6 Billion Commitment For 2026

The commitment will continue to support a series of multi-year partnerships with farmers supplying Morrisons with fruit and vegetables, meat, fish, dairy and eggs, extending Morrisons 127 year relationship with British farming and providing farmers with the confidence and stability needed to plan and invest for their future.

Breaking Barriers

We held our first "Breaking Barriers" event, bringing together guest speakers and internal leaders for an honest panel discussion. We heard personal stories about overcoming obstacles and finding the drive to succeed regardless of your background. It was a privilege to see colleagues and guests open up about their experiences.

We were proud to celebrate Eid across Morrisons, recognising the rich diversity of our colleagues and communities. Throughout Ramadan, colleagues came together to break fast, share food and reflect on the importance of compassion, generosity and community. Eid provided a wonderful moment to celebrate these connections and the contribution of our Muslim colleagues across the business.

Look its a retail business relies on customers spending money. At least make some type of effort to make our visits to your stores enjoyable, long queues at 1 or 2 manned checkouts if lucky miserable attitudes should one of your wealth providers ask for extra assistance. Not even a vending machine for tea or coffee in stores with cafés removed even new stores lost cafés some for unspecified reasons.
