New venture

Having worked for Perspective Research Services for over 16 years, the time had come last summer to leave and take a new direction in life. The aim was to get a better work life balance and seeing more of the kids growing up before it was too late. Running my own business had been on my mind for a long time, but the perfect time never seem to arise until that summer. It was now or never to start working on a plan. Over the years I worked with so many different clients covering various methodologies. Having been responsible for different aspects of the business previously, it made sense to combine all my experience, skills, and enthusiasm, take the plunge and start a new fieldwork business. iThoughts was born!

The first few months were spent setting up the business and organising the back office making sure the company would comply with GDPR. Choosing a software platform, creating a website, processes and business development. It all was very exciting and nerve-racking. The great thing about starting from scratch is that everything can be done exactly the way you plan the business. Once confident everything was in place to run projects successfully, it was time to reach out to potential clients and soon the first projects were commissioned. Many thanks to those who put faith in iThoughts in the early stages, we are very grateful. Getting those first few projects commissioned gives such a confidence boost, it makes all the difference!
