Rumie + ecoATM
I recently had the unique opportunity to directly collaborate with Rumie, a charitable organization that ecoATM has supported and partnered with previously.
Rumie.org is a globally recognized non-profit, known for creating an online app and learning platform that provides educational information in an accessible and intriguing form. Their technology empowers young women, some who are in war-torn countries, and partner organizations in more than 30 countries to take ownership of their learning.
Their goal is to provide content, delivery and outcomes through short digestible bytes. Their bytes range from health to career skills. They partner with volunteer learning designers and corporate professionals in order to create their learning bytes. Rumie’s “bytes” are educational information in a social media-esque format. Making educational topics more interesting and engaging for users in the 16-24 age group.
Through our partnership, @AlexisTirado and I partnered with Rumie to create two micro-courses and provided information on sustainability and smarter phone use. The bytes educate users on how to take care and extend the life of their devices, as well as trade in their devices to keep electronics out of landfills.
