Last week, our Lunch Symposium at #ASPN2026 offered a clear view into where chronic pain care is headed.
Led by Iden M. Cowan MD, Tim Deer, MD, David M. Dickerson, MD, FASA, Steven Falowski, and Pankaj Mehta MD, the session covered clinical evidence supporting BurstDR™ stimulation and FlexBurst360™ therapy, expert perspectives on DRG therapy and MRI labeling updates, and access to care.
It’s great to see this community come together with a shared commitment to advancing care for patients living with chronic pain.

As we wrapped up our Accelerator Reception at #ASPN2026, we connected with many talented early-career physicians ready to advance their practice.
Here’s what Anuj Shah D.O, Abbott Accelerator and co-chair of American Society of Pain and Neuroscience ASPN's Young Innovators, took away:
“Being able to have access to excellent mentors from around the country who are doing advanced neuromodulation... In addition to this, behind the procedures, we're able to get access to the data supporting all this evidence. It’s something we can share with our patients.”
That’s what the Accelerator Program was designed to do. Provide education that directly translates to patient care.
Proud to be supporting the next generation of physicians.

Clinical evidence and real-world experience took center stage at our #ASPN2026 Topics in Neuromodulation Symposium (TINS).
Drs. Dirk De Ridder, Steven Falowski, Denis Patterson, Dawood Sayed, and Jackie Weisbein reviewed highlights of their experience with BurstDR™ stimulation and discussed how FlexBurst360™ therapy is helping deliver meaningful, lasting outcomes for people living with chronic pain.¹
We appreciate the perspectives shared and thank you to everyone who joined the conversation.

Now published: 24-month data from the DISTINCT nonsurgical back pain study. Results showed sustained improvements with BurstDR™ stimulation in pain (NRS), function (ODI) and psychological status (PCS) in patients with refractory nonsurgical chronic low back pain (NS-CLBP).
The DISTINCT study was a prospective, multicenter randomized controlled trial evaluating the effectiveness of BurstDR™ stimulation in the treatment of NS-CLBP compared with conventional medical management.
In the published 24-month analysis, 77% of spinal cord stimulation (SCS) patients reported a ≥50% reduction in pain. Clinically significant, sustained improvements were also reported in functionality and psychological status in 72.4% and 79.1% of SCS patients, respectively.¹
