Your brain controls dozens of tiny movements without you even noticing. For a robot? None of that is intuitive. Every movement has to be learned from data: That’s exactly what Haptikos Inc. is solving. Instead of programming every motion by hand, a person wears a lightweight exoskeleton glove that captures every finger movement with 24 degrees of freedom, sub-millimetre precision, and even records force, contact and tactile feedback. In other words: It doesn’t just capture where your hand moves. It captures how you interact with the world. That data can then train robotic hands, simulations and AI models – allowing robots to learn complex manipulation much faster and more naturally. To me, this is one of the most overlooked building blocks of Physical AI. Because the future of robotics isn’t just about smarter robots.
