   <media:description>HOORAY! I *totally* finished on time! 🫣

Okay, so I didn't finish my LEGO Edmund Fitzgerald model in time for the 50th anniversary of her sinking, but I'm getting there and I won't quit until it's done! It'll be glorious to show you all the finished tribute!

In the meantime, enjoy seeing some of the detail work that I *have* finished. I'm looking forward to sharing more about the work that you get glimpses of in this video. Thank you for sticking with me!</media:description>

<media:description>I finally cut my first gemstone! After collecting hobbies (and gear) for years, it was time to actually give gemcutting a try. At the Midwest Faceter's Guild annual workshop, I learned how to dop, cut, and polish a stone for the very first time. And I learned from one of my gemcutting heroes, Doug Christensen of @hedronrockworks!

In this video, you’ll see a true beginner’s experience of gemstone faceting, using a handpiece machine, cutting the first facets, and even struggling through a table polish.

If you’re curious about gemcutting, faceting, or just want to see what it’s like to start a brand new craft, this is a great place to begin.

Subscribe if you want to follow along as I keep learning and (slowly) improve at cutting stones.

First, I want to introduce you to the midship model as it exists today! And then we need to come up with a more reliable latching system to connect and disconnect ship sections. There's a lot to do, so come along!

<media:description>I’m tackling a huge LEGO project – a 1:200 scale model of the SS Edmund Fitzgerald!

This legendary Great Lakes freighter sank in 1975, and with the 50th anniversary approaching, I’m designing and building a tribute inspired by the official LEGO Titanic set. I’ve already started working, but I need your help! Whether you’re a LEGO expert, a history buff, or just curious, join me as I figure this out — LIVE!

⭐️ Live design sessions coming soon!

<media:description>Inspired by the incomparable @GMHikaru, I'm going to start making videos where I play a few Blitz chess games and analyze them afterward. So just like Hikaru, except with not so many good moves.

As of today, my Blitz rating is 1189. Let's see if I can improve to 1400 this year!

I got a &quot;silent&quot; mouse so you hopefully won't hear all the clicking while I play! 🙉
