Returning speaker Gary Jackson, Founder and CEO of Jackson's Real Food Market joins the Organic & Natural Products Expo Africa conference on Friday 7 August. Many good products never reach a shelf for reasons that have nothing to do with quality. Gary has written openly about the barriers facing small farmers and food producers, including volume requirements they cannot meet, listing fees and penalties they cannot afford and compliance systems designed for larger businesses. Jackson’s opens its doors to small producers who care about how their food is made. Its requirements include no preservatives, no unnecessary additives, minimal or no pesticides and a genuine commitment to sustainable or regenerative practices. Where certification presents a barrier, Jackson’s works with producers who share these principles and start the process towards PGS certification, a peer-group system of affordable local certification. Jackson’s recently opened its Bedfordview store, extending this approach to a third location alongside Bryanston and Kyalami. Session details 📍 Topic: So You Want to Be on the Shelf?
