Le concept de l’exploitation est au cœur de la philosophie du travail et constitue l'une des tensions les plus fondamentales au sein des sociétés capitalistes modernes. Depuis Thomas Aquinas, jusqu’aux philosophes plus modernes tels John Locke, Adam Smith, Karl Marx ainsi que ceux plus contemporains tels John Rawls et G.A Cohen, l’exploitation est un enjeu qui fut longuement discuté en philosophie politique. Néanmoins, il semblerait que nous soyons toujours confrontés à la question de savoir ce que signifie d’être exploité. Solliciter l’avis d’un libertarien et d’un socialiste afin de décortiquer le concept de l’exploitation laisserait place à un débat perpétuel en l’absence d’une base commune qui permettrait d’élaborer sur le sujet. Toutefois, il ne suffit pas de considérer uniquement la perspective qui repose sur la définition pour comprendre l’exploitation. China and India can no longer hide their national and global environmental responsibilities under the pretext which was perhaps partially valid a few decades ago: that they needed to develop and, therefore, protecting planet Earth from the harmful consequences of global climate change was their lesser concern. China's share of global GDP was as low as 2.3 per cent in 1980, even lower than India's at that time, but it jumped to a record 18.3 per cent in 2017. According to an estimate, if the current Sino-Indian growth rates persist, by 2050, they would be the dominant global suppliers of manufactured goods and services, respectively.

Desde sus orígenes históricos, el capitalismo ha desarrollado una cultura emocional crecientemente compleja y conflictiva que ha culminado en el individualismo expresivo característico de la globalización neoliberal. El postfordismo ha implementado intensas formas de autoexamen emocional y cultivo del deseo para
superar la contradicción tradicional entre el ascetismo calvinista propio del mundo del trabajo y el hedonismo consumista. El resultado debería haber sido una “democracia de las emociones” que relajara los conflictos de clase y extendiera la cultura cívica progresista a la esfera íntima mediante una comunicación emocional fluida. Sin embargo, como pronto señaló la crítica comunitarista, el emotivismo neoliberal más bien ha conducido a una desfundamentación ética que ha arrojado a las sociedades capitalistas a la intemperie subjetiva, la vida dañada y el malestar emocional, como demuestra la epidemia contemporánea de trastornos psiquiátricos relacionados con el estado de ánimo.

Starting from its historical origins, capitalism has developed an increasingly complex and conflictive emotional culture that has culminated in the expressive individualism that is characteristic of neoliberal globalization. Post-Fordism has developed intense forms of emotional self-examination and cultivated a desire to overcome
the traditional contradiction between the Calvinistic asceticism proper to the world of work and the hedonism of consumer society. The result should have been a “democracy of the emotions” that would relax the class conflict and extend progressive civic culture to the intimate sphere by means of fluent emotional communication. However, as communitarian criticism soon pointed out, neoliberal emotivism has instead led to an ethical de-foundation that has driven capitalist societies to subjective inclemency, damaged lives and emotional malaise as demonstrated by the contemporary epidemic of psychiatric disorders relating to the individual’s state of mind.

This article examines Harmony Korine's 2012 film, Spring Breakers. Arguing that Korine's film explores the bankruptcy of ethics in advanced capitalism, the article considers two predominate and contrasting theories of contemporary subjectivity: Slavoj Žižek's psychoanalytically-inspired conception of the subject as radical lack and Deleuze's affirmation of the subject through attention to affect and the virtual. In reference to Kant's radical reformulation of the moral law as an empty and tautological form with the concept of the categorical imperative, this article shows that Korine's allegory of the spring break adventure correlates the subject's eagerness to surmount any and all obstacles toward enjoyment to late stage capitalism's increasing encroachment on the absolute limit of deterritorialization. In so doing, the film suggests that neither Deleuze nor Žižek, affirmation nor lack, offer an effective ethical principle for the subject in the face of the real of global capital.

This paper argues that economics and ethics should not be seen as opposed and radically different, but rather as two versions or aspects of the same enterprise, that of providing rules of interactions for agents who are not attached by obligations of reciprocity. The particularity of modern economics -as opposed to traditional gift exchange -is not that it is without any ethical content but that it proposes an answer to the question: how should I behave towards those to whom I owe nothing. The only coherent answer to that question that is not imposed from the outside implies fairness as a selfregulating characteristic of exchange I argue. Values in the sense of value ethics are related to this enterprise as a way of resolving the problem that fairness in exchange and more generally reciprocity (once reciprocal obligations have disappeared) must presuppose itself and thus cannot be guaranteed. fields of expertise: philosophy, epistemology of social sciences, emotions, philosophy of biology.
