Recenzja dotyczy publikacji Karola Ebertowskiego „Informacja genealogiczna w Polsce. Metody gromadzenia i opracowywania danych”, stanowiącej opublikowaną wersję pracy doktorskiej obronionej na Uniwersytecie Mikołaja Kopernika w Toruniu w dziedzinie nauki o informacji. Autor recenzji docenia podjęcie przez Autora istotnego tematu oraz zebranie materiału źródłowego. Niestety, w jego ocenie Praca nie realizuje założonych celów. Wynika to przede wszystkim z bardzo pobieżnego ujęcia, a miejscami wręcz braku analizy niektórych zagadnień, zwłaszcza w zakresie metodyki. Publikacja zawiera ponadto liczne błędy metodologiczne oraz poważne błędy faktograficzne w obszarze genealogii. Do istotnych mankamentów należy również ograniczona, praktycznie wyłącznie do Polski, baza źródłowa. Reasumując, zdaniem recenzenta Praca zasługuje na ocenę negatywną.

Artykuł stanowi multidyscyplinarną propozycję teoretyczną z pogranicza geografii człowieka, socjologii i antropologii kulturowej, która umożliwia kategoryzację oraz analizę problemów składających się na fenomen amatorskiej genealogii w Polsce. W tekście przedstawione zostały wybrane aspekty zjawiska na różnych poziomach odnoszące się do problematyki relacji człowiek-przestrzeń: począwszy od elementarnej więzi z miejscem pochodzenia przodków, poprzez przestrzenne praktyki pamięci w przypadku genealogii przesiedleńczych, a skończywszy na konstruowaniu wyobrażeń o przestrzeni życia przodków w oparciu o "wielką historię", która dostarcza rodzinnym genealogiom punktów odniesienia w postaci symboli, miejsc, zdarzeń czy postaci. Rozmaite sposoby, za pomocą których genealodzy-amatorzy konstruują wiedzę o rodzinnej przeszłości, wytyczają bowiem drogi percepcji przestrzeni: tak w wymiarze prywatnym i lokalnym, jak również tym związanym ze zbiorową wyobraźnią narodu. Pozwala to uznać kategorię przestrzeni za kluczowy element w tego rodzaju praktykach pamięci rodzinnej. Powstające w ich efekcie wyobrażenia to tymczasem "prywatne geografie" stanowiące konceptualny odpowiednik "prywatnych" lub "oddolnych historii" (bottom-up histories, histories of below). Słowa kluczowe: percepcja przestrzeni, pamięć, genealogia, tożsamość, dziedzictwo.

Les confréries et les associations dévotionnelles catholiques figurent parmi les grandes absentes de l’historiographie suisse. En cela, notre pays se distingue désormais assez clairement d’autres pays européens, où le sujet a attiré une attention croissante pendant les dernières décennies.
Ce silence est d’autant plus surprenant que les confréries et les associations dévotes doivent être considérées comme l’un des types d’organisations horizontales parmi les plus importants - sinon les seuls - dans les villes et les campagnes de l’Europe moderne. Les pays de confession réformée ne connaissent pas d’organisations comparables, ce qui soulève des questions très intéressantes sur les différences d’organisation des sociétés de confession différente.
En parcourant les ouvrages disponibles, une question se pose : peut-on affirmer que l’histoire des confréries est désormais bien connue au niveau continental ? La réponse n’est certainement pas facile : si beaucoup a été fait sur les associations dévotes en tant que sujets collectifs, les profils des confrères et surtout des consoeurs restent encore passablement vagues et en partie nébuleux. Pour progresser de façon décisive dans ce domaine il est probablement nécessaire de passer - pour utiliser une formule simple - de l’histoire des confréries à l’histoire des confrères - et consoeurs. C’est l’idée qui est au coeur de notre projet de recherche.
Notre enquête se concentre sur deux régions alpines suisses qui ont connu une floraison d’associations dévotes tout à fait remarquable pendant l’époque moderne : le Valais romand et les bailliages qui constituent aujourd’hui le canton du Tessin. La période de l’enquête couvre le XVIIIe et la première moitié du XIX siècle, une époque de grandes transformations, dans laquelle les confréries ont passablement évolué et ont vraisemblablement acquis une fonction plus explicitement politique.
Cinq questions prioritaires seront à la base de notre démarche scientifique : la première concerne la relation entre adhésion à une confrérie et identité socio-culturelle ; la deuxième interroge les rapports changeants entre confréries et conflits politiques, notamment à l’époque de la Révolution française et de l’avènement du libéralisme. La troisième question se focalise sur la religiosité prônée par les différentes associations dévotes et les frontières entre religion « institutionnelle », plus ou moins contrôlée par le clergé, et les pratiques religieuses vécues par la population, souvent en conflit avec les curés et les évêques. Le quatrième point reprend une question soulevée par de nombreuses études sur les confréries : les logiques de recrutement et de composition des associations. La parenté joue-t-elle un rôle significatif ? Ou plutôt des logiques de quartier, ou de voisinage ? L’analyse de réseaux pourra fournir des indications très importantes à ce propos. La dernière question concerne le rôle des femmes dans les associations dévotes. Un rôle bien connu, en soi : mais est-ce un rôle purement subordonné, comme la plupart des études le suggèrent ? Ou les charges et hiérarchies féminines présentes dans plusieurs associations ouvraient-elles aux femmes des espaces de pouvoir, de visibilité, d’influence, en partie formalisés ?

本文旨在探討國內族譜文獻資訊化及相關網站的發展現況，並且針對57個中文姓氏族譜網站之網站建置背景及資訊內容做比較，以供從事族譜文獻資訊化的參考。在網站建置背景方面，比較其是否含有紙本族譜為建置背景、設站簡介、連絡資訊、上線人次統計、最後更新時間、最新消息、站內全文檢索、對外連結及留言板等項目。在網站資訊內容方面，比較其是否含有姓氏源流、家族遷徙分布、祖先、家訓族規、世系、傳記、昭穆、祠廟、藝文、通訊錄及照片本等項目。整體而言，族譜網站在此兩方面的呈現皆繁簡不一，大部份的網站不具本文所列的網站建置背景及資訊內容項目，足見族譜資訊內容全面上網、族譜文獻檢索環境、網站通訊及意見交流等方面仍有待加強及努力的方向。
Intended for the reference of those engaged in the organization of genealogical resources in today’s online environment, this paper offers the results from a recent study on the status in the documentation and digitization of genealogical literature.  Fifty-seven sites of Chinese genealogy on the Internet were selected for comparative review, and particular attention was given to their installation structures and the contents embedded in their pages.  Where structural integrity is concerned, each site was examined against such criteria as the presence of print-on-paper genealogical literature as the foundation of the site, the availability of any introduction to the site, the updates, the reporting of latest developments, the linking of other sites, and the posting of suggestions by visitors.  With respect to site contents, the documentation of the following is scrutinized: surname origin, clan migration and distribution, clan ancestry, family rule, family tree, clan　biographies, generational verse, ancestral temples or shrines, literary compositions by members of clan or family, and the whereabouts and photographs of members of clan or family.  The survey reveals that there exist significant differences from one site to another in the comprehensiveness of coverage, with the majority failing to meet most of the pre-defined standards.  It suggests that much more work is desired in areas involving the presentation of electronic genealogical information, the refinement of online search-and-retrieval measures, the facilitation of user communication, and the channeling of inquiries and responses.

Like other cancer types, breast cancer is considered to be a genetic disease. While the majority of genetic changes are somatic, a minority are in germline. About 10-20% of breast cancer is thought to be due to a germline mutation in high-penetrance genes, where the major focus has been on BRCA1 and BRCA2. Some of these mutations are defined as founder mutations. Studies on founder mutations yield important information, mainly due to a large number of available carriers with the same mutation, regarding penetrance, expression, genetic modifiers or low-penetrant genes and influence from the environment. Population studies are also valuable due the possibilities for evaluating clinicopathological data in a group of patients who have the same mutation. In Iceland a rare founder mutation has been detected in BRCA1, and a frequent founder mutation has been detected in BRCA2. In addition to population-based studies on genetics and clinicopathology, an extensive analysis of somatic changes in tumours of BRCA2 founder mutation carriers has been made.

Genealogia jako nauka pomocnicza historii, rozszerzyła swój zakres. Wynikiem badań genealogicznych nie są już tylko dane osobowe przodków, ale także wiedza o czasach i miejscu, w których żyli. W powszechnym rozumieniu genealogia Żydów wydaje się trudnym tematem badań, gdyż panuje przekonanie, że wszystkie dokumenty zginęły bądź zostały zniszczone w czasie II wojny światowej. Istnieje jednak dużo materiałów, które mogą być doskonałym źródłem informacji. Również rozwój technologii (technik komputerowych, Internetu, biotechnologii) stał się czynnikiem rozwoju i popularyzacji badań genealogicznych.
