Holistic Education

The growth and sustenance of the Baptist denominational legacy, values, beliefs, and practices, as well as the successful future ministerial responsibilities of student pastors, depend on the development of pastoral leadership, skills, and competencies during their training in theological institutions. This research investigates the influence of supervised ministry on the development of pastoral leadership and competencies and its implications for theological training in the Nigerian Baptist Convention. The study was based on theories of experiential learning, social learning, and clinical pastoral education, all of which highlight the importance of reflective learning, mentoring, and hands-on involvement in ministry formation. Employing an analytical and descriptive methodology, the research reviews pertinent literature related to supervised ministry, theological education, mentorship, and the advancement of pastoral leadership both in African and global contexts. The results indicate that supervised ministry acts as a crucial link between theological education and practical ministry by connecting student pastors with hands-on church and community experiences. The research further reveals that supervised ministry notably improves competencies in preaching, pastoral care, counselling, leadership, administration, communication, discipleship, conflict resolution, and spiritual growth. It also plays a role in character development through mentoring relationships that encourage integrity, humility, accountability, perseverance, and servant leadership. Furthermore, supervised ministry encourages reflective learning, self-confidence in leadership, emotional maturity, and an understanding of context that are essential for effective ministry in modern Nigeria. The research finds that theological education, when lacking sufficient supervised ministry, is inadequate in equipping pastors for the intricate realities of ministry in Nigeria. As a result, the study suggests that Nigerian Baptist theological institutions should enhance supervised ministry by incorporating it into the curriculum, establishing organised mentorship programmes, promoting reflective learning methods, reinforcing partnerships between churches and seminaries, offering contextual ministry experience, and providing ongoing training for field supervisors. Enhancing supervised ministry will contribute to the development of church leaders who are spiritually mature, ethically sound, practically skilled, capable of transforming and addressing modern ministerial challenges in Nigeria.

The present study investigates the role of social intelligence as a predictor of academic achievement among Scheduled Caste (SC) students. Social
intelligence, which encompasses an individual’s ability to understand,
manage, and navigate social interactions effectively, has been recognized as an important factor influencing educational outcomes. The study aimed to examine the levels of social intelligence among SC students and determine its relationship with their academic performance. The researcher 214 sample of SC students was selected using a stratified random sampling technique, representing both genders (male & female) and location (rural & urban). Standardized tools were used to measure social intelligence and academic achievement. Statistical analyses, including independent sample T test and correlation, were employed to assess the predictive power of social intelligence on academic achievement. The findings revealed a significant positive relationship between social intelligence and academic performance, indicating that students with higher social intelligence tend to achieve better academically. The study also highlights gender and urban-rural differences in social intelligence and achievement levels. The implications of these findings suggest the need for educational interventions and programs that foster social intelligence among SC students to enhance their academic success.

This paper presents Atmospheric Intelligence (AI)™, a proposed conceptual framework that examines the relationship between internal human systems (mind, body, and spirit) and external environmental conditions. The model is introduced as an interdisciplinary contribution to natural medicine and holistic health discourse, with particular emphasis on the role of environmental architecture in shaping cognitive, physiological, and behavioral outcomes. The framework introduces the Mind, Body, Spirit, World Quadrant™, a conceptual mapping system designed to evaluate interactions between internal states and external environmental inputs. Within this model, the "World" dimension represents the surrounding physical and sensory environment and its potential association with stress regulation, behavioral adaptation, and overall well-being.

L’article examine le rôle de la collaboration comme levier essentiel pour l’amélioration des pratiques éducatives dans un contexte scolaire complexe. Il cherche à déterminer la forme de communauté éducative la plus adaptée pour accompagner des enseignant·es en arts engagés dans des pratiques inclusives favorisant la quête de sens chez les adolescent·es. S’appuyant sur une recherche documentaire et une approche théorique socioconstructiviste, l’étude considère la collaboration comme un processus de coconstruction du sens et mobilise le modèle tridimensionnel de Schussler. Les résultats soulignent la pertinence de la communauté d’apprentissage, permettant de soutenir la réflexion, l’engagement et le développement professionnel global (cognitif, affectif et idéologique) des enseignant·es.  L’article propose ainsi des repères pour mieux orienter les choix de dispositifs collaboratifs en éducation artistique.
The article examines the role of collaboration as a key lever for improving educational practices in a complex social context. It seeks to identify the form of educational community best suited to supporting arts teachers engaged in inclusive practices that foster adolescents’ search for meaning. Drawing on a literature review and a socioconstructivist theoretical perspective, the study considers collaboration as a process of shared meaning-making and mobilizes Schussler’s three-dimensional framework. The findings highlight the relevance of the learning community as a collaborative structure that supports reflection, engagement, and the overall professional development (cognitive, affective, and ideological) of teachers. The article thus provides conceptual benchmarks to help guide the selection of collaborative approaches in arts education.

The article provides a systematic historical and institutional reconstruction of the process of formation of Orthodox theological education in Donbas from the eighteenth century to the early twenty-first century. The evolution of educational forms is traced from early parish schools and theological schools of the imperial period to post-Soviet attempts to create a multi-level system of ecclesiastical education. It is demonstrated that during the imperial era the regional model was limited to district theological schools, which provided basic training for the clergy but did not develop into a center of higher theological education. The study substantiates the thesis of the region’s structural dependence on external seminary centers. The Soviet period is analyzed as a stage of institutional rupture that led to the liquidation of the system of theological education and the loss of continuity in the educational tradition. Compensatory forms of clerical training during the wartime and post-war years (pastoral courses and short-term seminar-type programs) are examined; these did not acquire the status of stable educational institutions. Special attention is paid to the post-Soviet stage, characterized by asymmetry of development: in the absence of an extensive educational network in Donetsk region, Luhansk region formed a system of theological schools followed by the institutionalization of a theological university. The article distinguishes between confessional models of ecclesiastical education and secular academic forms of teaching theology and religious studies in the university environment. Based on archival materials and specialized research, the chronology, status, and functional role of individual educational centers are clarified. It is argued that institutional asymmetry, conditioned by historical and political factors, constitutes the key characteristic of the development of theological education in Donbas. The article outlines possible prospects for the formation of a networkinstitutional model of Orthodox theological education, taking into account regional experience and contemporary challenges.

This article presents an interdisciplinary study of the ethical dimension of STEM education in the context of global technological transformations and the spiritual and moral crisis of contemporary society. The author draws attention to the problem of the dominance of an instrumental-utilitarian paradigm in the educational process of technical and natural science specialties, which fosters professionalization without humanization, and the development of a technocratic consciousness devoid of an internal moral compass. In light of this, the article raises the issue of the necessity for a holistic pedagogical approach that includes not only knowledge transmission but also the formation of spiritual and ethical competencies, existential responsibility, and the ability for self-reflection among future scientists. Based on Christian anthropology, the theology of personhood, the philosophy of the essential powers of the human being, and the principles of sustainable development, the author substantiates the original pedagogical methodology “Logos & Techne” as a tool for integrating spiritual values into technical education. The methodology is grounded in the biblical understanding of the human being as created in the image and likeness of God (Genesis 1:26–27), called not only to have dominion over creation but also to responsible service and co-creation with God. The proposed educational structure is aimed at developing not only professional but also ontological qualities in students – conscience, love, self-sacrifice, freedom of choice, and sensitivity to truth and meaning. The article develops a theological-pedagogical model of personal spiritual growth by analogy with the ascetic treatise The Ladder by St. John Climacus, in which each step represents a stage in the formation of a student’s moral maturity: from purification through self-knowledge to enlightenment and love as the highest spiritual goal.

This article substantiates the relevance of integrating spiritual and ethical competencies into STEM education amid global technological transformations and the challenges of sustainable development. The focus is placed on the necessity of combining technical training with moral responsibility, grounded in Christian anthropology, which regards the human being as the image of God, called to co-creation rather than destruction of the world. It is emphasized that a modern scientist must not only be a specialist in their field but also an ethical subject capable of spiritual self-determination, reflection, and awareness of the consequences of their activity. The subject of this study is pedagogical tools for the formation of spiritual and ethical competencies among students in technical and natural sciences. The object of study is the STEM education system in the context of sustainable development challenges. The aim of the article is to comprehensively examine the necessity of cultivating moral responsibility in STEM students regarding scientific and technological activity, and to justify the Logos & Techne methodology as an innovative tool for integrating spiritual values into professional education. The integral ethics of science and technology combines the philosophy of personal existence, Christian anthropology, and the concept of sustainable development, forming a holistic educational space for the development of a morally mature personality. The author reveals the content of the educational module “Values of Sustainable Development and the Moral Responsibility of the Scientist,” which includes analysis of biblical texts, discussion of ethical cases, development of intuitive reflection, metaphysical thinking, and spiritual maturity.

The article examines the methodology of holistic education as the foundation for the development of creative abilities in students of STEM education. It highlights its consonance with Christian ritual practices. As a result of the research, the author concludes that based on the concept of the "personal model of upbringing" by the Luhansk philosopher V. Sabadukha, we hypothesize that faith, as a fundamental element of the Christian worldview, can be used as an educational mechanism for shaping personalities of the 3rd and 4th levels of essential forces, characterized by a high degree of creative reflection. Among other things, this is relevant for students acquiring knowledge in the STEM education system. It is noted that creativity is characterized by moments of "inner enlightenment," the emergence of which cannot be explained solely by the rational part of consciousness. Rather, it can be said that this feeling, comparable to the "revelation" mentioned in biblical texts, is formed under the influence of "faith." From an educational-psychological perspective, this category can be understood not only as a mystical religious practice but also as an intuitive rethinking of reality under the influence of personal subconscious action. In this regard, when forming approaches to defining the tasks of spiritual education and upbringing in the STEM education system, we consider developing "faith" skills as a priority for intuitive nurturing of students' creative abilities. At the same time, we consider it important to study and take into account the spiritual practices of the Christian Church, which are consonant with holistic education methodologies. A common feature of both worldview and educational systems is the consideration of the individual as the "primary cause" of their external life and the actualization of internal potentials for cognition, spiritual development, and creativity. In this context, Christian enlightenment, understood as the "descent of the Holy Spirit," is interpreted in holistic pedagogy as a method of educational reflection, as insight.

The early education of children provides a strong foundation for lifelong learning. Schools play a crucial role in the early formative years. In the present study efforts have been made to critically analyse the NEP 2020 using qualitative methods so as to understand the vision of the policy makers. The qualitative analysis of the views of Principals, taken through semi structured questions, highlighted that NEP 2020 is a comprehensive framework for development of Education in India. The present study aimed to assess faculty satisfaction on the delivery of tourism and hospitality management programs in the flexible learning mode at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic. It employed a purposive sampling design where 85 Tourism and Hospitality Management (THM) faculty members, across 27 Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) in the Central Luzon, Philippines, participated. While findings indicate that the faculty members are generally satisfied with the conduct of flexible learning in their institutions, they generally agree on items relating to having higher workloads, longer preparation time for a course, lack of human interaction by not seeing students face-to-face, lower participation of students, technical and connectivity problems, and the need to employ creativity and resourcefulness in the development of learning aids. This paper critically examines the interplay between multidisciplinary education and employability within the framework of India's National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. By advocating for the integration of diverse academic disciplines, NEP 2020 aims to dismantle academic silos and promote holistic learning. Simultaneously, the policy emphasizes skill development, experiential learning, and industry collaboration to address the growing demand for employability-centered education in a dynamic global economy. This evaluation highlights NEP 2020's transformative vision for higher education, its impact on equipping students with job-ready skills, and the establishment of Multidisciplinary Education and Research Universities (MERUs) as a cornerstone reform. While the policy holds promise, challenges such as infrastructural gaps, faculty readiness, and equitable access persist. The paper concludes with recommendations to overcome these barriers and outlines future directions to strengthen multidisciplinary and employability-focused education for sustainable growth and societal advancement.

The world expected the twenty-first Century to become an era of unprecedented human cooperation, scientific advancement, technological innovation, and global prosperity. Instead, humanity increasingly finds itself trapped in cycles of war, ethnic fragmentation, religious extremism, economic inequality, ecological instability, and declining trust. From the wars devastating the Middle East and Sudan to rising polarization in Europe, Africa, Asia, and the Americas, the world appears to suffer not from a shortage of resources or knowledge, but from a crisis of moral imagination and social trust. Despite extraordinary advances in education, communication, and technological capability, societies continue to divide themselves along ethnic, racial, religious, and ideological lines. The central question, therefore, becomes unavoidable: why do highly educated societies and politically organized states repeatedly descend into hatred, exclusion, and violence instead of using human intelligence to construct peace, prosperity, and shared human flourishing?

This mixed-methods, quasi-experimental pilot study examined free nonpremium AI-conversational apps' impact on Omani English-as-a-foreign-language learners' speaking proficiency and confidence. Over 16 weeks, 140 learners completed speaking assessments and interviews, with experimental groups using AI apps. Results showed significant gains in fluency and pronunciation among advanced learners (fluency: F = 10.034, p = .0032; pronunciation: F = 13.934, p < .001). Intermediate learners improved in pronunciation (F = 5.169, p = .026), while lexical and grammatical skills had minimal change. Anxiety decreased from M = 3.70 to M = 3.09, with analysis showing increased confidence and engagement. Intermediate learners reported reduced fear and improved speech, while advanced learners noted enhanced self-regulated learning aligned with the AI-self-regulated speaking development model. Despite limitations in accent recognition and feedback, learners valued AI tools as supplements to instruction. The study concluded that AI apps could support oral proficiency when integrated with instruction and practice.

Our country has a vast repository of rich cultural heritage and traditional knowledge that has been developed over the period of thousands of years. This knowledge has been passed on to us through generations. However, in the current education system, many technological advancements have seeped in, where students are learning new skills and gaining fresh knowledge every day, but are drifting apart from the traditional knowledge systems. Thus, the responsibility lies on our shoulders to familiarise them with all that our roots have to offer. This paper attempts to bridge this gap by means of two case studies on the poster exhibitions that took place in an academic setting at the university premises. Mainly targeted towards young learners, the exhibitions aim to bring traditional knowledge to university students using the tools they are familiar with. The two exhibitions-(1) a series showcasing the catalogues of repositories housing Sanskrit book collections, and (2) a visual narrative on the life journey of Sri Aurobindo-prioritise the use of modern tools and visual aids. Based on two distinct subject matters, both initiatives aim to reintroduce the traditional wisdom using visually compelling designs, digital tools, and narrative techniques suited for contemporary educational settings. Through these efforts, the paper demonstrates how the fusion of traditional content with modern design can create smart learning environments that can further be incorporated in the learning space, regularising the study of the Indian Knowledge System among young learners, keeping in tune with their cognitive ease.

Twenty-first-century education requires a transformation from a one-way teaching model toward a learning ecosystem that positions students as active subjects in the learning process. In Islamic secondary schools in Indonesia, the Kurikulum Merdeka policy has encouraged flexibility and student-centered learning. However, teacher-centered learning practices remain dominant, so learning initiative, the ability to determine strategies, and self-reflection as the core of student agency are still developing partially and inconsistently. This study aims to examine the misalignment between participatory curriculum design and students' learning experiences at the classroom level, particularly in relation to the concept of ta'dib as the ethical-epistemic foundation of Islamic education. The discussion shows that ta'dib is often reduced to a set of rules of external compliance, without being accompanied by space for meaningful moral reflection. This condition indicates value disorientation and structural misalignment in educational practice, which affects the instability of students' subjectivity and moral agency. Background and Aim: Qualitative research has become essential in educational inquiry as it reveals the complexity and contextual nature of teaching and learning. It is fundamentally rooted in interpretivist, constructivist, critical, and postmodern paradigms, emphasizing meaning-making and the social construction of reality. Despite its increasing acceptance, qualitative research faces challenges related to philosophical debates, methodological rigor, and practical relevance. The study aims to examine the philosophical foundations, paradigms, applications, and challenges of qualitative research in education. Materials and Methods: The study employed a literature review as a research design. For this, the journal articles and seminal theoretical books were purposively selected based on relevance, recency, and availability for review. The review materials were collected purposively using databases such as Google Scholar, ResearchGate, Academia.edu, ProQuest, and Semantic Scholar. The collected materials were read thoroughly and recursively. Through constant comparison and conceptual abstraction, themes were developed and analyzed. Results: By analyzing peer-reviewed articles and key theoretical works, the study highlights crucial ontological, epistemological, and methodological assumptions. The findings suggest that qualitative research is essential for comprehending classroom dynamics, teacher and learner identities, curriculum implementation, and issues of equity and policy. However, challenges such as researcher positionality, trustworthiness, and ethical responsibility persist. The study argues that these challenges are not methodological weaknesses but inherent to qualitative inquiry. Consequently, it contributes to a deeper understanding of the relevance of qualitative research in producing ethically grounded and context-sensitive educational knowledge. Conclusion: This study affirms qualitative research as a rigorous, socially situated approach rooted in interpretivist and critical traditions. It captures meanings, identities, and educational processes often missed by quantitative methods. Methodological challenges strengthen the approach when addressed reflexively. Overall, it remains essential for theory, policy, and socially responsive educational practice.

This theoretical paper introduces a novel framework for understanding and fostering student engagement by mapping the ancient Indian Panchakosha philosophy onto modern psychological constructs. It posits that student engagement is a holistic state influenced by five interconnected dimensions: physical (Annamaya), energetic (Pranamaya), mental-emotional (Manomaya), intellectual (Vijnanamaya), and spiritual/bliss (Anandamaya). Synthesizing literature from educational psychology and holistic education, this paper presents a theoretical model illustrating how nurturing each kosha can cultivate robust student engagement. This interdisciplinary approach addresses a critical gap by offering a comprehensive, culturally integrated perspective. The paper provides educators, researchers, and policymakers with a framework for fostering students who are not only academically proficient but also resilient, purposeful, and joyful. This work is conceptual; it does not contain empirical data but provides clear directions for future validation studies.

Young people are the future of society and agents of social change. Therefore, it is essential to give them an education that equips them with information and skills and alters their attitudes and behavior toward sustainable development. In the future years, the national education policy envisions an ideal societal transformation through sustainable living and development. This study aims to investigate answers to the question: Is the implementation of sustainable development at the heart of the National Education Policy 2020 vision? This research is a content analysis of the new national education policy for the year 2020. It focuses on sustainable development and its derivatives to promote a way of life that does not negatively impact the planet's environment, economy, or society. The content analysis discovered ten direct and indirect references to discuss the idea of sustainable development and its derivatives. In addition, the National Education Policy of 2020 includes precise indicators for its three pillars: environmental sustainability with seven references, economic development with 21 mentions, and social change with 15 citations. Based on this evidence data, the researcher concluded that the newly proposed education policy possesses an ideal vision of implementing sustainable development in education.

contemporary and complex role of artist, connecting in her own way art, design, fashion and environment.
Y.Kusama seems to be a suitable case for young children to understand the connection between arts through
playful learning. This project was created in the context of a comprehensive program of art around the daily lives
of children and in accordance to Action Research. Children were inspired by Y.Kusama's work to design their own
paper-clothes and through this creative process they achieved greater freedom and fewer stereotypes about the
artist’s role, thus bringing aesthetics into the realm of real life. Via this experiential and playful framework,
children learned to think holistically, with greater mathematical understanding and critical reflection.
Additionally, this project also led to practices of narration and art therapy.

Монографија се бави проучавањем утицаја сензорне стимулације на перцепцију музике код деце. Истиче се да је перцепција сложена психичка функција која подразумева оспособљавање организма да уз помоћ чулних органа прими, прерађује и организује чулне утиске и стиче сазнања о стањима и променама у својој околини. Ауторка такође наводи да се опажање тек у процесу практичне делатности (која га усмерава на чулне квалитете значајне за њено успешно обављање) претвара у сазнајну активност која се учи, те се може унапредити и развијати кроз васпитно‑‑образовни рад и сензорну стимулацију. Имајући у виду чињеницу да је период осетљивости, односно узраст у коме се чула и перцепција највише развијају и када је могуће највише утицати на њихов развој предшколски и млађи школски узраст, посебна пажња посвећена је проналажењу начина да се чула богато и разноврсно користе, нарочито у играма и брижљиво дидактички структурираним материјалима.
У раду је дат преглед различитих схватања перцепције, од Атомиста до Теорије одраза Павлова, као и преглед психолошких теорија и приступа перцепцији музике. Посебна пажња посвећена је перцепцији различитих изражајних средстава музике. Дефинисани су и представљени различити видови сензорне стимулације деце у циљу унапређења њихове перцепције музике. Посебно је истакнуто да се развој опажања код деце не одвија спонтано, већ под утицајем праксе и учења у току којих оно овладава социјалним сензорним искуством и укључује се у сензорну културу коју је човечанство створило. Наводи се, између осталог, да одрасли формирају методе и поступке упознавања детета са околином, упознају дете са системом музичких звукова, говорних фонема, геометријских облика које је човечанство изградило и подучавају дете да их означава помоћу језика и да, као резултат тога, дете усваја известан систем општеприхваћених сензорних еталона, које затим користи у својој перцептивној активности, анализирајући стварност и одражавајући је у синтетичким сензорним ликовима.
На крају монографије приказано је емпиријско истраживање које прати на који начин континуирана сензорна стимулација деце предшколског и млађег школског узраста може утицати на њихову перцепцију слушане музике. Такође, дати су критички осврт на истраживање, практични примери сензорне стимулације и препоруке за будућа истраживања и рад просветних радника у вртићу и у основној школи.
Монографија указује на значај практичног рада са децом, те сензорне стимулације (путем повезивања садржаја различитих уметности) у функцији унапређења њиховог приступа стварима и појавама које их окружују, те њиховог промишљања о датим стварима, што доводи до унапређења (музичке) перцепције код деце. Критички сагледава праксу и нуди решење проблема у контексту његовог настајања, што може бити подстицај и за друге практичаре на предузимање сличне акције.
У монографији се истиче да је однеговано чулно запажање темељ две највредније људске способности: интелигенције и креативности и да су обе значајне за развој схватања, али и доживљавања света који окружује дете. У том оквиру општи закључци истраживања синтетизовани су кроз педаго шке активности употребе асоцијација које су успешно апострофиране у завршном делу монографије. Поменуте активности коришћења асоцијација суштински се односе на истицање значаја стимулације деце садржајима различитих уметности.
Иако се резултати истраживања односе на контекст у коме је обављено, вредност ове монографије је, између осталог, и у томе што може бити извор мењања праксе и односа према музици и уметностима у вртићу и основној школи. Посебно значајним чини се истицање потребе да се васпитно‑‑образовни процес обогати интеграцијом садржаја из различитих области, ради холистичког развоја деце.

The integration of incubation centers within higher education institutions has become an essential component of fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among students. This study examines how incubation centers in Jalgaon district act as bridges between higher education and startup culture. The research highlights the availability, functioning, challenges, and impact of these centers in promoting entrepreneurial perspectives. Findings suggest that incubation centers play a significant role in transforming students from job seekers into job creators, though infrastructural and policy-level improvements are still needed.

Tujuan dari artikel ini adalah untuk melihat seberapa penting pengembangan soft skills melalui pendekatan pendidikan yang menyeluruh. Metode ini menggunakan penelitian literatur tentang berbagai buku dan jurnal pendidikan terbaru. Kajian menunjukkan bahwa pendidikan holistik mampu membangun keterampilan seperti komunikasi, kolaborasi, berpikir kritis, dan kecerdasan emosional dengan menggabungkan aspek kognitif, afektif, dan psikomotorik. Metode ini juga memperkuat karakter siswa dan kesiapan mereka untuk menghadapi perubahan di seluruh dunia. Oleh karena itu, soft skills harus diterapkan secara sistematis dalam kurikulum dan praktik pembelajaran untuk mendukung sistem pendidikan berbasis holistik.

This commentary emphasizes the importance of nurturing curiosity in the primary years as a foundation for developing interest, motivation, and critical thinking in science education. Curiosity, expressed through questioning, exploration, and experimentation, transforms science from a difficult subject into an engaging journey of discovery. Studies reveal that when curiosity is fostered early, students show stronger interest and deeper retention, while neglecting it leads in disengagement and weak interest, as seen in challenges faced by secondary educators. In the Philippine context, where students often struggle with abstract concepts and underperform in international assessments, experiential and inquiry-based learning strategies are vital. Equipping schools with laboratories, supporting teachers through professional development, and encouraging parental involvement are essential to sustain curiosity. By prioritizing curiosity-driven pedagogy, the education system can inspire lifelong interest in science and prepare learners to thrive in a world shaped by technology and innovation.

This inquiry explores the experiences of thirteen Canadian yoga-exemplars, ages 25-40, who use traditional Yoga knowledge and practices to handle lifes stresses and strains. The young adults describe Yoga as a holistic and spiritual practice as a way of life, a philosophy, and not merely a physical exercise. Their stories about how they cope with the challenges of life such as school, relationships or existential angst, demonstrate how Yoga has helped them effectively cope with stress. Abstrak : Kehilangan Pasangan menjadi fenomena yang tak terhindarkan oleh siapapun, dalam Kondisi kehilangan pasangan karena kematian kian akan menuntut ibu untuk menjalankan peran sebagai orang tua tunggal sekaligus melakukan berbagai penyesuaian dalam kehidupan keluarga. Dengan adanya fenomena yang demikian peneliti dalam Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan untuk mendeskripsikan proses adaptasi ibu dalam pengasuhan anak pasca ditinggalkan pasangan di Kabupaten Malang. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan metode penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis penelitian fenomenologi. Informan dalam penelitian ini terdiri dari tiga orang ibu sebagai informan utama yang menjalankan peranya sebagai orang tua tunggal dalam pengasuhan anak serta dua informan tambahan yang berasal dari keluarga informan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan diantaranya yaitu wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan dokumentasi. Analisis data yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan model Miles dan Huberman yang meliputi reduksi data, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Proses analisis Keabsahan data dilakukan melalui triangulasi sumber dan triangulasi teknik. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa proses adaptasi ibu dalam pengasuhan anak pasca ditinggalkan pasangan berlangsung secara bertahap. Pada fase awal, ibu mengalami tekanan emosional berupa kesedihan, kebingungan, dan kesulitan menerima kenyataan. Seiring berjalannya waktu, ibu mulai menunjukkan proses penerimaan dan menata kembali kehidupan keluarga. Dalam tahap selanjutnya, ibu melaksanakan peran ganda sebagai pengasuh anak sekaligus pencari nafkah untuk memenuhi kebutuhan keluarga. Faktor yang mendukung proses adaptasi antara lain dukungan keluarga, motivasi dari anak, serta pendekatan religius. Sementara itu, faktor penghambat meliputi tekanan ekonomi, beban peran ganda, serta tekanan emosional pada masa awal kehilangan pasangan. Background and Aim: Education policy and scholarship often oscillate between instrumental goals (skills, employability, measurable outcomes) and holistic aims (ethical formation, civic belonging, and human flourishing). This paper synthesises cultural, social, and philosophical foundations of education to propose an "eclectic compass"-a set of orienting principles that can guide equitable and context-responsive teaching and policy. Materials and Methods: Using a qualitative literature review design informed by Freirean critical pedagogy, the study purposively engaged with classical and contemporary scholarship (including South Asian and global perspectives) and thematically synthesised recurring concepts related to power, voice, dialogue, and praxis. Results: Four themes emerged: (1) quality education is shaped by social resources, governance, and community participation; (2) ethical accountability in academic communities can humanize or dehumanize depending on how it is designed; (3) multilingual language practices and cognition mediate participation and learning, particularly in diverse classrooms; and (4) a holistic approach integrates moral reasoning, critical consciousness, and socio-emotional growth alongside academic achievement.
