Leadership has evolved across centuries of human history, yet its core challenge remains unchanged: guiding people through complexity. This paper argues that the most effective leaders—whether military commanders, political statespersons, industrial magnates, or modern executives—operate not through a single leadership style but through an adaptive system anchored in a transformational core. Drawing on historical examples from Genghis Khan to Nelson Mandela and contemporary insights from organizational psychology, the paper demonstrates that transformational leadership provides the cultural and motivational foundation upon which transactional clarity, situational flexibility, participative collaboration, coaching, and decisive command can be effectively deployed. By examining leadership across war, business, governance, and creative domains, the paper highlights the enduring value of multi‑style adaptability. It concludes by evaluating leadership in 2026, identifying strengths, failures, and opportunities for refinement, and offering a model for developing leaders capable of meeting the demands of modern organizations.

This study develops a theoretical framework explaining decision legitimacy in AI-enabled organizations as an emergent outcome of the interplay between algorithmic authority and human judgment. Drawing on institutional theory, socio-technical systems, and behavioral decision-making, it identifies procedural, distributive, and cognitive legitimacy as key dimensions. While AI enhances efficiency and consistency, legitimacy depends on transparency, explainability, and perceived fairness. Algorithmic authority may both strengthen and undermine legitimacy, whereas human judgment remains essential for contextual interpretation and accountability. The study advances multilevel propositions and outlines a research agenda for examining legitimacy in hybrid human-AI decision systems.

This paper introduces the LILBED Ontological Leadership Theory (LOLT), an identity-based framework that redefines leadership as the disciplined alignment of internal moral purity and external service. While existing leadership paradigms often emphasize behavior, authority, and influence, they tend to give limited attention to the ontological dimension of leadership namely, the nature of the leader beyond observable action. By integrating the constructs of "Lil" (internal purity) and "Bed" (external service), and operationalizing them through a five-dimensional taxonomy (L.I.L.E.D.), this study proposes that leadership effectiveness emerges not only from what leaders do, but from who they are. In addition, the paper introduces "Lilbedon" as a sustained psycho-social state in which humility, service, and disciplined consistency produce authentic and enduring influence. The study contributes to leadership scholarship by extending existing frameworks and offering a coherent model that connects identity, action, and consistency. It also provides a foundation for future empirical research and practical application in organizational and social contexts.

This study examines the coaching styles employed by dance coaches in State Universities and Colleges (SUCs) within region 8. The research evaluates coaching style levels in terms of autocratic behavior, democratic behavior, positive psychology coaching, social support behavior, and performance coaching.  Utilizing a descriptive-correlational design, surveys are conducted with dance coaches to quantify and gain deeper insights into their coaching practices. The study addresses a gap in the literature, providing a nuanced understanding of coaching styles in the context of higher education dance programs. The findings offer practical implications for coaching development, curriculum design, and the improvement of dance coaching practices. The results contribute not only to academic knowledge but also provide valuable insights for dance coaches, administrators, and policymakers aiming to enhance dance education quality in State Universities and Colleges in Region 8.  This research serves as a foundation for future studies on effective coaching strategies in dance education.

Although the literature evidences leadership’s many influences on followers’ outcomes, much less theory has been applied to leadership between instructors as leaders and students as followers, especially regarding what substitutes for such leadership in the classroom. In this theoretical paper, we argue that substitutes for organizational leadership operate in learning environments. Instructors (leaders) and students (followers) who interact in a learning environment (situation) create opportunities for learning leadership, defined as leadership that occurs when it moderates learning. In business organizations, various substitutes for leadership have been shown empirically to lessen and neutralize the influence of leadership. Drawing from leadership theory and research, substitutes for leadership in learning environments are discussed, along with practical implications regarding designing pedagogy at both classroom and program levels.

The dominant paradigms of management theory-rooted in the industrial and early knowledge economies-were architecturally designed for a world of information scarcity. Hierarchical authority structures, sequential decision-making processes, and vertically integrated information flows emerged as rational responses to the cost and friction associated with cognitive labor. This paper argues that the advent of broadly capable artificial intelligence systems has produced a condition of cognitive abundance-a transformation whose macroeconomic antecedents, including the structural removal of friction from labour markets, are examined in Shaik (2026b)-wherein the marginal cost of many forms of executive-grade cognitive work approaches zero-rendering these inherited structures not merely inefficient, but theoretically obsolete. A critical theoretical gap exists in the management literature: despite extensive scholarly attention to AI's impact on routine labor markets (Brynjolfsson & McAfee, 2014; Acemoglu & Restrepo, 2018), insufficient theoretical development addresses the transformation of executive leadership itself. This paper introduces two original theoretical constructs to fill this gap. First, the Centaur Model of Leadership-a three-layer architecture distinguishing the Algorithmic Engine (autonomous prediction and optimization), the Centaur Interface (human-AI collaborative orchestration), and the Human Architect layer (irreducible human judgment, values, and strategic intent). Second, the Human Moat Taxonomy-a structured categorization of organizationally irreplaceable human capabilities along four dimensions: relational, cognitive, aesthetic, and ethical. The paper further identifies the Management Schism-the institutionally dangerous transitional period in which legacy organizational structures persist despite the arrival of transformative algorithmic capabilities. Drawing on cross-disciplinary synthesis of organizational theory, human-computer interaction, labor economics, and AI governance literature, this work offers propositions for how executive roles must evolve, how organizations must be restructured, and what constitutes sustainable competitive advantage in an algorithmically saturated environment. Implications for management scholars, practitioners, and policymakers are discussed.

Leadership literature has long prioritised behavioural, psychological, and cultural approaches while largely ignoring the primary variable governing all output: energy. This working paper introduces Neurophysics as a unifying framework that treats individuals and organisations as thermodynamic systems. Organisational and personal performance is not a function of willpower, strategy, or empathy alone, but a thermodynamic calculation of Performance versus Entropy (P > E). Using the equations P = F × A (Performance = Force × Accountability) and E = A × T (Entropy = Archetype × Tolerance), the paper defines three states of systemic performance — Collapse (P < E), Stagnation (P = E), and Growth (P > E) — and positions leaders as thermodynamic regulators of energy transmission from Core Purpose through the six equally weighted cogs of the Purpose-to-Accountability Paradigm™. Traditional psychological tools address symptoms; physics-based calibration via the Joule Standard™ addresses the underlying mechanics. Code Reinforcement™ explains how unchecked loops entrench maladaptive pathways, accelerating entropy unless interrupted by deliberate accountability.

Despite growth in online programs in general, and leadership programs in specific, uniform underlying infrastructure or theory models for the basis of leadership programs is lacking (Jones 2005). This paper journals the process undergone by a university faculty as they redesign courses of an online BA in Organizational Leadership. Seemiller’s (2014) Leadership Competencies provided the theoretical framework for each of the leadership courses. The process of selecting and integrating these competencies is explained: the value judgements made to connect the competencies with the design of courses, integration of similar or corollary competencies, and the philosophical reasons for these decisions are discussed

This paper examines servant leadership as a framework for navigating power, politics, and conflict in contemporary organizations. Traditional leadership models emphasize authority, hierarchy, and control, often overlooking the relational dynamics that influence organizational effectiveness. Drawing on leadership and organizational behaviour literature, this study argues that servant leadership integrates strategic performance with humancentered values. A conceptual framework is proposed in which servant leadership shapes three key dimensions: strategic orientation, human-centered leadership, and leadership diplomacy. These dimensions influence organizational performance and social cohesion, ultimately contributing to long-term sustainability. The findings suggest that balancing power with care enhances trust, engagement, and resilience in complex organizational environments. Implications for leadership practice and future research are discussed.

Methodologically, a systematic analytical review approach was adopted, drawing on secondary data to synthesize existing empirical and conceptual insights. Findings indicated that leaders who effectively integrate AI into their practices while demonstrating high EI exhibit greater adaptability, reduced organizational conflict, and improved employee engagement. These outcomes highlight the complementary relationship between AI-driven analytics and emotionally intelligent leadership. The paper concluded that AI is unlikely to replace human leadership; rather, when strategically integrated, it enhances leaders' effectiveness and emotional capacity. The paper recommended among others that African organizations should institutionalize leadership development programmes that combine AI literacy with emotional intelligence to support data-driven and human-centred decision-making.

In light of the increasing conflict and uncertainty in many Australian Churches of Christ congregations, this dissertation asserts that pastoral and lay leaders must proactively create and transform team leadership boards to promote emotional, spiritual, and systemic health. Over the last two decades, leaders within eldership teams have lacked the impetus or opportunities to self-learn and develop healthy team dynamics. This trend has in part created an environment of complacency and minimal peer team learning, thereby hampering continuous improvement in leadership practice and culture. Churches of Christ congregational leaders seem to be stuck or ambivalent in their positional status, sometimes impervious to the cultural context, mission and discipleship priorities, and wider psychological and leadership advances. Inactivity in leadership learning creates inherent functional problems in individuals and teams. Often polarization occurs, generating conflict between paid ministry staff and boards of elders that precipitates low trust and emotional chaos. This scenario must be addressed and redressed to ensure that appropriate awareness and learning stimulates new behaviors, attitudes, and opportunities for ongoing personal transformation, adaptability, and team growth. This dissertation advocates ongoing transformational leadership development as personal and shared responsibility and practice for congregational leaders, in response to the escalating frequency of conflict in churches. The goal of this dissertation is to present a more holistic model for team-based church leadership that establishes learning from the process of spiritual transformation, the construct of emotional attachment, and the field of systems theory. Pivotal to this study is a primary awareness that congregational leadership is a shared responsibility, where the onus resides within a leadership team to monitor and proactively cultivate an environment of emotional, spiritual, and systemic health.

This paper proposes a fundamental shift in leadership theory, moving from the psychological soft skills paradigm of the last 25 years to a physics-based model termed Operational Thermodynamics™. By tracing the trajectory of leadership thought from the absolute authority of ancient icons (e.g., Julius Caesar) through the recent Culture Cult of hyper-empathy, this paper identifies a critical pendulum swing that has resulted in systemic Operational Drag. I introduce the Purpose-to-Accountability Paradigm, a transmission model where leadership is defined not by feeling, but by the calculated transmission of energy from Core Purpose to External Accountability. Using the equations P = F × A (Performance = Force × Accountability) and E = A × T (Entropy = Archetype × Tolerance), alongside gas law analogies (Boyle & Gay-Lussac) to explain organisational pressure, I diagnose the collapse of the middle-management Caution Zone and offer a calibrated blueprint for restoring momentum in Organisational Leadership.

This purpose of this study was to provide an in depth examination of Democratic Leadership and its effects on employee performance at Mantisa Construction Company. The study aimed to assess the effectiveness of this type of leadership style in promoting healthy workplace environments.
A mixed case study approach was employed, using semi-structured interviews with key stakeholders, including managers and supervisors. Documentary analysis of Mantisa Construction Company reports and policies was also conducted. 37 employees were the target sample size of this study, and purposive sampling was used in the study. The data was collected by means of questionnaires and was then edited and entered into Microsoft Excel software to enable the final analysis of the data. The analyzed data was finally presented in the form of charts or bar graphs, and tables in relation to each of the research objectives.
The findings of this study revealed that Mantisa Construction Company (MCC) has implemented democratic leadership strategies, inclusivity, and empowerment. The study also found out that this leadership style has had a positive impact on stakeholders, including increased employee engagement, motivation and productivity.
This research project contributed to the existing body of knowledge on leadership by providing insights into the implementation and effectiveness of the construction industry. The study findings have implications for managers, business leaders, and scholars seeking to understand the role of democratic leadership in promoting sustainable environments.
This research project is structured into five chapters, including an introduction, literature review, methodology, results of findings, and conclusion. The study’s limitations and recommendations for future research are also discussed.
 

Investigations of catastrophic failures in high-reliability systems consistently reveal that safetyrelevant concerns were identified prior to collapse yet failed to alter final decisions. Although psychological safety research has established strong associations between climate perceptions and voice behavior, less attention has been devoted to how psychological safety climate shapes the persistence and escalation of dissent under authority gradients and performance pressure. Drawing on psychological safety climate theory, organizational silence research, high-reliability organization scholarship, and the normalization of deviance framework, this paper develops a multi-level conceptual framework explaining how safety-relevant dissent becomes attenuated as it traverses hierarchical and interorganizational boundaries. The central argument is that psychological safety climate influences whether voice occurs and, more consequentially, whether it survives resistance long enough to shape collective sensemaking and decision outcomes. A mediated and moderated conceptual framework is proposed linking leader behaviors, climate formation, voice persistence, and adaptive risk mitigation outcomes. Seven formal propositions are advanced to specify the mechanisms and boundary conditions of this process. The paper reframes catastrophic organizational risk as partly communicative in origin and contributes to theory by elaborating voice persistence as a distinct and consequential construct within the psychological safety literature.

Drawing on perspectives from higher education, educational management and classroom practice, the discussion emphasizes the importance of self-reflective processes and their contribution to teaching and learning within collaborative frameworks. Practical considerations and pedagogical concerns are examined through both theoretical and applied lenses. The analysis addresses implications regarding the inclusion of native-speaker English teachers, suggesting that their value extends beyond mere linguistic expertise. It argues that the collaborative relationship between local and nativespeaker teachers is fundamental to creating student-centred, culturally diverse learning environments that foster inclusivity for second language learners. Situated within the Macau educational context, this critical analysis contributes to ongoing discussions about effective language pedagogy and the optimization of native and non-native speaker teacher partnerships in multilingual educational settings.
