This reflection engages Thomas H. Green, S.J.’s book Opening to God and explores its significance for personal prayer and spiritual growth. Drawing from the Ignatian tradition, Green emphasizes that prayer is fundamentally God’s work rather than a human achievement. Through a personal experience of spiritual dryness and desolation, this reflection examines how openness, trust, and receptivity to God become more important than seeking spiritual consolation or emotional satisfaction. The book challenges readers to recognize God’s presence even in silence, struggle, and apparent absence. By integrating theological insights with personal experience, this reflection highlights that authentic prayer gradually transforms the individual, fostering humility, patience, and a deeper relationship with God. Ultimately, Opening to God serves as a valuable guide for those seeking to deepen their prayer life and discover God’s action within the ordinary experiences of daily life.

This paper investigates the historical and folkloric interface between Gurumapa, the child-eating ogre of indigenous Newar folklore, and Guru Marpa Lotsawa (1012-1097 CE), the historical founder of the Tibetan Kagyu school of Buddhism. Scholars traditionally treat these figures independently-Marpa within Tibetan hagiography and Gurumapa within Newar urban mythology. By applying a deconstructive, cross-cultural framework, this study analyzes how eleventhcentury trans-Himalayan economic shocks and monastic recruitment strategies were integrated into local folklore. We argue that the myth of Gurumapa represents a localized, reactionary metaphor generated by hereditary Newar householder Buddhists (Vajracharyas) to resist the extraction of local youth into celibate Tibetan monastic networks. This cultural trauma was further codified through phonetic drift, behavioral friction, and the material impact of Tibetan gold dust within the monastic courtyard of Itum Bahal.

Madness does not mean clinical insanity. It refers here to a collective condition in which a society becomes so embroiled in its own beliefs about reality that it loses the capacity to distinguish between policies that ensure its survival and policies that undermine it. A carnival is a public spectacle in which ordinary restraints are suspended and behaviours that would once have seemed shocking become normal. The argument of this essay is that contemporary Israel exhibits elements of both.

The history of Africa is full of magic and supernatural activities. However, in all the sections of Hausa performing arts, oral songs are the most exalted arts that dominate many folkloric activities and control very great significant aspects of religious, political and sociocultural consciousness in the Hausa community. The singers employ different methods and techniques of injecting poetic ideas into the minds of audience. The songs are sung with either melancholic, charming, or tranquil expressions so that their content messages are of deep impact to listeners. Therefore, the songs are entertaining, charming, educating or touching. In the struggle to create an attractive method or style, the use of supernatural is traced, which this paper intends to demonstrate. It is discovered that most of popular oral singers, Mamman Shata inclusive, employ supernatural activities in demonstrating hyperbolism, heroism, medical or fetishism, and so on. Malam Baba Na Qofar Gabas, Sarkin Bori Sule and Hassan Sarkin Dogarai to mention but few of the masterpieces of the prominent Hausa oral singer (Shata) comprised of supernatural powers in thematic and stylistic structures. By employing any one of these adornments in any oral songs, the zenith of stylistics is being reached, as per as Hausa culture is concerned. This paper therefore traces instances of use of supernatural in Shata's songs.

This paper delves into the documentation of Hausa oral literature in the digital era, focusing on the songs of Makaɗa Sa'idu Faru. It aims at a comprehensive exploration of the challenges and opportunities as well as understand the economic implications and ethical considerations inherent in this endeavor. By synthesizing findings from various methodologies, including literature review and case studies, the paper highlights the shift towards digital platforms and the utilization of online channels for preservation efforts. Findings of the article reveal diverse revenue streams and highlight the importance of collaborative approaches for sustainable preservation. Recommendations emphasize the need for training programs, policy development, and investment in digital archives to ensure the integrity and accessibility of Hausa oral literature in the digital age.

The Decision Body System™ is a foundational diagnostic framework within the broader interdisciplinary framework of Temporal Architecture™. The system proposes that individuals process pressure, timing, uncertainty, recovery, and meaning through recurring constitutional action-patterns called Decision Bodies. These patterns influence behavioral pacing, stress response, relational structure, burnout susceptibility, recovery rhythm, and interpretive orientation. This paper introduces the twelve primary Decision Bodies and outlines their core characteristics as a preliminary constitutional taxonomy intended for future psychometric refinement, assessment development, and applied diagnostic use.

This paper situates StoryPathing™ within the phenomenological traditions of Amedeo Giorgi and Scott D. Churchill, arguing that it extends phenomenological inquiry from the trained researcher to the lived participant. Drawing on doctoral research, narrative psychology, and applied practice, the paper examines how StoryPathing™ operationalizes phenomenological principles through the PeakStory Method, a structured scaffold built around self-event connections, iterative reflection, competency mapping, and imagined variation.

The analysis positions StoryPathing™ as philosophically aligned with Churchill’s existential-hermeneutic framework while operationally reflecting Giorgi’s disciplined return to lived experience. Unlike either approach, however, StoryPathing™ relocates methodological authority from the researcher to the participant, treating disciplined self-examination as a democratized form of phenomenological practice.

The paper argues that StoryPathing™ represents an applied human science framework through which individuals can examine lived experience, construct coherent narrative identity, and communicate that identity within professional and relational contexts. It concludes that phenomenological method, when properly scaffolded, can extend beyond academic research into the examined lives of everyday persons.

Narrative Entropy (Sn) is a proposed quantitative descriptor within the Bulut Doctrine, intended to capture the rate at which a narrative text imposes processing load on a reader. To date the construct has been defined theoretically but not operationalized against real texts. This report documents the first such operationalization (the v2.0 pilot): two narrative scenes-the opening restaurant scene of Quentin Tarantino's Reservoir Dogs screenplay and the opening interior-monologue block of Raymond Carver's short story Cathedral-were coded manually by a single rater and scored with the candidate formula Sn = If × Cb × t. The result was contrary to intuitive expectation. The single-voice monologue block (Sn = 30.0) scored higher than the nine-character rapid-dialogue scene (Sn = 18.8). We treat this divergence not as a result to be explained away but as the central finding of the pilot, and we deliberately refuse post-hoc adjustment of the formula. We present three competing interpretations of the divergence-formula incompleteness, genuine high-load prose, and measurement error-and we specify, in advance of data collection, the design that would discriminate among them. This document functions simultaneously as a pilot report (n = 2) and as a pre-registration of the next-stage protocol. It explicitly does not claim that Sn has been validated.

This paper presents findings from a Spring 2026 pilot study (N=24) investigating the efficacy of Myth-OS, a recursive reflective AI infrastructure embedded within COMM-166: Introduction to Creative Enterprise at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. Haioka, the primary reflective interface within Myth-OS, functioned as a recursive metacognitive scaffold designed to support longitudinal self-observation, ambiguity tolerance, executive-function movement, and narrative coherence over time.

This book documents 214 traditional Hausa games, recognizing play as a fundamental human activity that also extends to animals, though styles vary across cultures. The authors observe that these inherited games, like many Hausa customs, are declining due to modernization, necessitating their preservation in written form for posterity. The book is divided into nine chapters, covering the benefits of traditional games (such as character training, heroism, wisdom, and physical exercise), the historical and social context of Hausa life, classification of games by their execution, timing, and participants, the impact of modernity (including religion, Western education, and social media), and finally detailed catalogs of games for boys (65), girls (103), mixed-gender play (36), adults (7), along with a concluding chapter and a comprehensive table listing each game's name, players, category, equipment, benefits, and consequences.

This paper examines sustainability as a human-centered, narrative and operational challenge within emerging African industrial ecosystems. It argues that advanced manufacturing, automation, and SMART factory development cannot be assessed solely by productivity, environmental compliance, or corporate communication. In rural and resource-constrained settings, industrial transformation also reconfigures work, identity, community agency, dignity, aspiration and intergenerational possibility. Drawing on sustainability scholarship, stakeholder theory, shared value, social responsibility guidance, Fourth Industrial Revolution discourse and narrative-informed organisational thinking, the paper proposes that sustainability should be understood as a lived institutional practice rather than a communications exercise. The paper is offered as a conceptual practitioner contribution rather than an empirical study. It positions human-centered sustainability as the disciplined alignment of environmental responsibility, technological progress, behavioural adaptation, workforce participation and community legitimacy. The central argument is that smart manufacturing initiatives in emerging African contexts are most sustainable when they create systems in which people are not merely employed by transformation but become recognised participants in shaping its meaning and future direction.

This paper interprets Farid ud‑Din Attar’s Conference of the Birds as a comprehensive model of human transformation, integrating Sufi metaphysics, cognitive development, and the psychology of perseverance. Through an analysis of the seven valleys, the Hoopoe’s leadership, and the birds’ resistances, the study argues that Attar constructs an inner map of spiritual maturation that parallels major Abrahamic narratives of call, exile, trial, and return. The valleys represent progressive stages of ego‑dismantling, while the Hoopoe embodies the prophetic, mentoring, and intuitive dimensions of guidance. The birds’ failures illuminate universal psychological defenses against change, whereas the Simurgh’s final revelation reframes identity as relational, porous, and open to the Real. By connecting Attar’s medieval allegory to contemporary frameworks of transformational leadership and cognitive restructuring, the paper demonstrates the enduring relevance of Attar’s vision for understanding human growth, meaning‑making, and the perennial struggle toward wholeness.

This paper explores the transformation of human attention into a strategic resource in the digital age. It argues that modern societies are increasingly organised around emotional engagement, algorithmic stimulation, and perceptual competition rather than traditional structures of geography or industry. The paper introduces the distinction between signal and noise as a framework for understanding informational instability in the age of artificial intelligence, social media, and infinite content distribution. It further examines how AI systems accelerate narrative production, emotional amplification, and cognitive fragmentation while simultaneously creating unprecedented educational opportunities. Ultimately, the paper argues that clarity, filtering ability, and cognitive discipline may become the defining human advantages of the twenty-first century.

Community action research is an approach which combines both research and action designed to enhance the quality of life of the participants. It is an approach that turns away from the predict and control tenets dominant in the positivist approach within psychology. Instead, the concern is with understanding social processes and transforming lives. Whilst traditional social and health psychology approaches are often individualistic in their orientation, community action research works with communities to identify collective opportunities for change (Murray, 2012a). It seeks to not only identify and understand health and social disadvantages but seeks to mobilise local action to challenge those disadvantages. Participatory action research is the methodological framework preferred within community action research. The approach is often time-consuming, unpredictable and challenging but highly rewarding. What follows is less a step-by-step guide and more a set of guiding principles along with practical recommendations to address the how of doing community action research. This is followed by a more specific guide to using community arts for action and change. A case example looking at the CALL-ME project illustrates an example of community action research in practice.

This paper presents a parametric analysis of a scene generated by Google Gemini in response to a creative writing prompt. Using the Objective Projection methodology (Bulut, 2026) and its six physical narrative variables-Spatial Matrix (M), Temporal Flow (T), Environmental Vectors (V), Delta (Δ), Vacuum Variable (Ω), and Narrative Gravity (Ng)-the scene is evaluated against both Eliot's Objective Correlative framework and the Bulut Doctrine's Objective Projection framework. Results indicate that approximately 40% of the scene's structural mechanisms-particularly the Vacuum Variable deployment, Spatial Matrix manipulation, and Adjective Embargo compliance-fall within Objective Projection territory rather than Eliot's Objective Correlative framework. The paper argues that large language models may statistically learn Objective Projection parameters from high-quality narrative corpora without explicit theoretical knowledge of the framework, and discusses the implications for both narrative theory and AI-generated creative writing.

In this chapter I reflect upon some aspects of my research life in which I have tried with others to orient health psychology in a more social and political direction. While there have been many setbacks I hope to show that a conviction to creating a better world can overcome many doubts when coupled with support from like-minded colleagues.

El conflicto armado en Colombia ha sido estudiado desde diversas disciplinas, coincidiendo en la necesidad de visibilizar el dolor de las víctimas y la urgencia de un reconocimiento y reparación integral por parte de la sociedad. Las víctimas no son un grupo homogéneo y los procesos estatales suelen centrarse más en los victimarios que en ellas, dejándolas en alta vulnerabilidad. La reparación tiende a ser económica, invisibilizando los efectos políticos y sociales de la violencia. Organizaciones de derechos humanos promueven la recuperación de la memoria histórica para validar el dolor, la rabia y las reacciones de las víctimas, aunque la violencia sexual ha sido menos abordada debido a la estigmatización y la vergüenza que recae sobre las mujeres abusadas. Esto plantea interrogantes sobre cómo ellas significan el abuso, cómo afecta su relación con el contexto, qué narran o silencian, y cómo reparar lo irreparable. La investigación, desde la psicología cultural y un enfoque narrativo, busca comprender las narraciones de mujeres víctimas de violencia sexual por actores armados. El estudio se realizó en Putumayo y Valle del Cauca, y sus resultados se presentan en seis capítulos que abordan desde los referentes teóricos hasta las conclusiones, pasando por el contexto, la metodología y el análisis de los relatos.

IJTI-Process® is presented as a dynamic and theory-faithful framework for assessing psychological functioning grounded in Carl Gustav Jung's typological model. Unlike conventional typological instruments based on static and dichotomous representations, IJTI-Process® integrates psychic dynamics, temporality, the auxiliary function and internal tensions. The current version extends an earlier 2008 model by introducing an adaptive structure, allowing the assessment pathway to adjust to individual responses. This approach preserves the structural complexity of Jung's model while enhancing interpretative precision. IJTI-Process® thus represents a significant evolution toward a dynamic and adaptive typological assessment consistent with the individuation process.

The increasing empirical and theoretical recognition of human identity as a decentralized multiplicity of internal voices raises a fundamental psychological paradox: how is structural coherence maintained within such inherent cognitive complexity? Dialogical Self-Theory (DST), pioneered by Hubert Hermans, completely dismantles the Cartesian illusion of a singular ego, conceptualizing the self instead as a highly dynamic, multi-voiced system of interacting "Ipositions." Within this complex internal ecosystem, the concept of meta-positioning-an objective, observing, and coordinating executive standpoint-emerges as the primary neurocognitive mechanism for regulating internal dialogue. This analysis rigorously examines how the cultivation of a meta-position enables individuals to integrate diverse, often conflicting internal voices, synthesize identity coherence out of multiplicity, and drastically enhance psychological resilience under stress. By integrating advanced metacognitive frameworks, specifically the foundational theories of John Flavell, with polyphonic narrative identity perspectives, this paper establishes that true psychological coherence does not arise from the forceful elimination of internal multiplicity, but from its highly structured executive management. A comprehensive conceptual framework is introduced to delineate the precise operational role of meta-positioning in organizing volatile internal dynamics. The analysis concludes that the intentional development of a robust, dominant meta-position is not merely optional, but an absolute psychological imperative for adaptive functioning, heuristic decision-making, and structural stability in highly complex and unpredictable environments.

Within family systems, one member is sometimes unconsciously assigned the role of the problem child-a dynamic clinically known as the Identified Patient and colloquially recognized as the "black sheep." This narrative scoping review maps the psychological origins, mechanisms, and long-term mental health consequences of family scapegoating, drawing on family systems theory, attachment theory, psychodynamic frameworks, and McAdams's (1993, 2001) narrative identity framework. Literature was retrieved systematically from Google Scholar, PubMed, and APA PsycINFO. Scapegoating functions as a systemic mechanism in dysfunctional families, displacing collective shame and unresolved intergenerational trauma onto a single member. Documented associations include Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD), depression, anxiety, identity disruption, and disrupted adult attachment. Emerging evidence points to a resilience trajectory among some survivors, involving heightened self-awareness, empathy, and capacity for psychological growth, though this remains preliminary. The review FAMILY SCAPEGOATING, IDENTITY, AND MENTAL HEALTH also examines the rhetorical construction of the scapegoat identity through language, selective narration, and social persuasion. Limitations of the literature (predominantly Western, self-report, and correlational) are discussed, along with cultural considerations-particularly in collectivistic and South Asian contexts-and recommendations for future research.

Self-realization in mid-adulthood is increasingly disrupted by prolonged societal crises, yet structured, evidence-grounded intervention programs that target the narrative and motivational dimensions of this process remain scarce. This study reports the development and preliminary efficacy testing of "Authorship of One's Life," an eight-week, narrative-oriented psychological program that integrates structured group and individual sessions, an artificial-intelligence conversational assistant, and a reflective podcast component for Ukrainian adults aged 35 to 55. A quasi-experimental pre-post design (with sequential participant stratification) with a three-month follow-up was employed, involving 52 participants assigned to an experimental condition (𝑛 = 26, comprising Reactive and Fragmented narrative profiles) or a control condition (𝑛 = 26, Adaptive profile). The program was structured around four progressive narrative therapy stagestrust building, problem externalization, re-authoring, and remembering drawing on Innovative Moments theory to scaffold narrative transformation across sessions. Outcomes were assessed using five validated psychometric instruments measuring meaning in life, basic psychological needs satisfaction, personal growth initiative, self-reflection, and an original scale of realizational flexibility, administered at four time points. Significant pre-post gains were observed in the experimental group across all primary outcomes, with effect sizes ranging from moderate to large (Cohen 𝑑 = 0.64-0.83), and gains were maintained at three-month follow-up. Analysis of session transcripts demonstrated a theoretically predicted shift from early-stage to advanced narrative transformation markers. The program demonstrates preliminary efficacy as a scalable, structured intervention for crisis-affected adults.

Compassion is a form of sensitivity to self and others’ suffering with a commitment to alleviate and prevent it, and is an important component of counselling practice. Past research has mostly focused on adults’ experiences and views on compassion, which may not be applicable to young people. This study used an exploratory qualitative multiple case study design to explore how adolescents story compassion. Interviews with twelve adolescents aged 12–17 years were analysed using theory-informed deductive and inductive reflexive thematic analysis. Six themes were identified: “The relational aspect of compassion”; “The social aspect of compassion”; “Positive outcomes for self”; “The challenges and difficulties surrounding compassion”; “Kindness is key”; and “The universality of compassion”. Findings from this study can inform the practice of counsellors to explore and promote compassion-focused conversations with adolescents. Further research is recommended to understand the implementation and outcomes of integrating compassion in counselling practice with adolescents.

Large language models (LLMs) offer promising avenues for narrative-based psychological capital (PsyCap) assessment, yet semantic inflation and cross-cultural variability in value-laden text pose challenges to measurement stability and comparability. This study introduces a reproducible, locally-deployed semantic de-anchoring framework comprising three sequential layers: minimal lexical de-anchoring, deterministic mechanical anonymization, and constrained semantic normalization. The framework is designed to mitigate faith-related and cultural semantic bias while preserving narrative structure, event sequence, and emotional trajectory. The framework was evaluated on 41 transitional narrative pairs (82 narratives total) across five languages (Chinese, English, Spanish, German, Arabic) using two locally deployed open-source models (qwen2.5-32b primary; Gemma-2-9b secondary). All cases were processed in complete isolation with model reinitialization to ensure determinism and privacy. Results demonstrated robust cross-lingual stability. Positive directional correspondence between changes in Core Meaning Integration (ΔF) and composite PsyCap (ΔP) was observed across all cases, significantly exceeding chance expectation (binomial test: p < 0.001). Mean increases post-transition were ΔF = +0.44 and ΔHERO = +1.06. Reliability was high (ICC = 0.89-0.96 for key dimensions) with strong cross-model consistency (r > 0.85). Core Meaning Integration values remained bounded and interpretable across languages (range 0.2-1.2), with no systematic inflation attributable to linguistic or cultural factors. This privacy-preserving framework provides a practical, reproducible preprocessing protocol for enhancing measurement invariance in LLM-based narrative psychological assessment across diverse cultural contexts.

Existing faith development theories, most notably Fowler's (1981) stage model, organize spiritual growth along developmental-cognitive lines tied to age and cognitive maturity. While influential, these frameworks sometimes encounter difficulty accounting for a commonly observed phenomenon: individuals who maintain religious belief over extended periods while exhibiting limited integration of that belief into their broader meaning systems. This paper proposes an alternative perspective: faith as a spectrum of integration depth rather than a sequence of developmental stages. Drawing on the semantic range of the original Hebrew (emunah), Greek (pistis), and Chinese (xìn), and situated within the theoretical framework of Meaning Reconstruction Dynamics (MRD), the paper introduces six descriptive levels of faith integration. These levels are not presented as discrete stages, but as phenomenological attractors along a continuous spectrum of meaning integration. The framework aims to provide conceptual clarity, practical vocabulary, and a possible bridge between qualitative experience and quantitative modeling. 1. The Problem with Stage Models of Faith James Fowler's Stages of Faith (1981) remains one of the most cited psychological frameworks for understanding spiritual development. Building on Piaget's cognitive development and Kohlberg's moral development, Fowler proposed a sequence of stages through which individuals may progress across the lifespan. Fowler's contribution is substantial. He framed faith as a universal human meaning-making activity and demonstrated that faith possesses structural properties that can be studied empirically.

Psychological Capital (PsyCap) is known to be malleable, yet the structural mechanisms underlying its sustainability remain unclear. This study introduces the Meaning Reconstruction Dynamics (MRD) model, proposing that Core Meaning Integration (F)-the coherence of an individual's meaning system-functions as a nonlinear amplifier of PsyCap, formalized as PsyCap = HERO * exp(F). Using two independent datasets of Chinese faith narratives (N = 118), crosssectional and longitudinal analyses showed that F significantly predicted PsyCap (R^2 = 0.43, p < .001). The amplification coefficient k converged to approximately 1.718 (≈ e-1) across datasets, supporting a stable nonlinear relationship. A threshold effect was observed: the F-PsyCap relationship became significant only when F exceeded approximately 0.70 (p = .003). These findings support a nonlinear model of psychological resource dynamics and highlight meaning integration as a structural condition for sustained PsyCap.

It is very often in counselling and psychotherapeutic procedures that clients need to cope with negative emotions such as sadness, guilt, fear or anger. The implementation of the Dialogical Stage Model (DSM) (Hermans, H. & Hermans-Konopka, A. (2010). Dialogical self theory: Positioning and counter-positioning in a globalizing society. New York: Cambridge University Press) can sustain these kinds of emotional processes. It is consisted of seven stages that entail the articulation, clarification and change of emotions according to a dialogical procedure. The therapeutic procedure is conceived as a meeting of living persons engaged in a collaborative dialogue. These dialogical processes motivate the creative resources of the client and delineate new emotional relationships, aiming at the creation of space in the self for positive emotions of happiness, hope, affection, intimacy and love to emerge. The therapist encounters the challenge to be fully present in the moment, as a comprehensive embodied living person (Seikkula, J. (2011). Becoming dialogical: Psychotherapy or a way of life? Australian and New Zealand Journal of Family Therapy, 32(3), 179-270). Thus, focusing on his/her experiencing during the session (Rober, P. (2008). The therapist's inner conversation in family therapy practice: Struggling with the complexities of therapeutic encounters with families. Person-Centered and Experiential Psychotherapies, 7(4), 245-278) contributes to acquiring better understanding of what goes on in the clients' lives. Moreover, sharing this experience with the clients contributes to an emotional extending of the clients' self. A clinical case example is used as an illustration of these kinds of therapeutic dialogical processes.

Writing Historical Fiction with AI: A Creative Collaboration**

Between 2023 and early 2026, I completed six novels and one scholarly anthology--totaling over 250,000 words--all written in collaboration with Claude AI and all openly disclosing that collaboration. The works span historical fiction set in 1930s Berlin and 1940s Princeton, philosophical novels exploring Hobbes and Spinoza or post-Brexit identity, a literary memoir on grief and music, and a scholarly anthology on Spinoza's theory of emotions. What unites them is a single methodology I call the "Architect" approach: the human writer provides the complete creative vision--characters, themes, structure, emotional truth--while the AI serves as a tireless technical executor, handling research retrieval, historical verification, and iterative drafting. The central principle is non-negotiable: you cannot write what you don't know, and AI cannot fix that. Knowledge and vision must come first.

The collaboration succeeds only when the human maintains absolute creative authority at every stage. This means arriving with deep subject knowledge, providing layered and precise instructions, revising ruthlessly--sometimes through twenty drafts--and protecting voice against the AI's tendency toward generic eloquence. It also means full transparency: every work carries a prominent acknowledgment of AI's role in the front matter, because readers deserve honesty and the field needs it. The machine amplifies intention but cannot provide it. Judgment remains everything--knowing when a scene has achieved what it needed, when silence says more than explanation, and when the work is finally done.

Resumen El propósito de este artículo es realizar una aproximación desde el dialogismo a la idea del Yo como constructor de significados. Se conceptualiza el enfoque dialógico, y se citan teorías psicológicas que sustentan la noción de un Yo constituido a través de la relación (Baldwin, Mead, Vygotski y Freud). La construcción de significado es considerada a partir de tres aspectos: la búsqueda de reconocimiento, los themata, y la doble dialogicidad. Se plantea que el conflicto asegura la emergencia de sentidos nuevos, porque en la lucha por el reconocimiento pugnan versiones opuestas de la realidad. La tematización se describe en términos de problematización de las antinomias del conocimiento de sentido común. La doble dialogicidad es explicada como proceso en que se articulan la situación concreta de interacción y las tradiciones culturales. La principal contribución del artículo es explorar la capacidad del Yo para construir significados a partir de un esquema conceptual original, en el que la filosofía dialéctica y la lingüística bakhtiniana realizan aportes centrales.

Community activism is concerned with various forms of community-based activity designed to improve the lives of disadvantaged, oppressed and marginalized groups. It can take various forms, from actions within a locality designed to improve the quality of life of the residents (e.g., organizing clubs and events) to activities designed to access increased resources that may bring the community into conflict with outside agencies. Key to these developments is the role of the individual community activists who are involved in organizing events and initiating various actions The aim of this chapter is to explore the work of these community activists through an analysis their written accounts and to consider the role of narrative in providing an organizing frame for local change.

This paper examines credibility drift as a structural phenomenon in high-leverage leadership, using Sam Altman and OpenAI as a case study. Drawing on the April 2026 New Yorker investigation by Ronan Farrow and Andrew Marantz — based on over 100 interviews and previously undisclosed internal documents — alongside observable patterns in public conduct, the paper argues that credibility drift is not primarily a character problem but a structural one. It emerges when power scales faster than the governance architecture required to hold it accountable. Three frameworks are introduced: the Mercenary Archetype, describing leadership that adapts to power systems without stable philosophical anchor; Credibility Drift, describing the gradual divergence between external narrative and internal trust signals; and the Empty Throne, describing the system-level condition in which no legitimate governance authority exists to oversee a rapidly scaling domain. The Altman case is examined not as individual failure but as an early and consequential instance of a pattern likely to recur as AI development accelerates.

This article explores the longstanding debate between intuitive and structured approaches to creative writing, framed through the distinction between the “pantser” (intuitive writer) and the “plotter” (architect writer). It analyzes the strengths and limitations of each method, focusing on how they impact narrative coherence, character development, and creative freedom. Through theoretical reflection and illustrative examples, the article argues that neither method is inherently superior; instead, effective writing often emerges from a hybrid approach that balances planning and spontaneity. Ultimately, the choice of method is presented not only as a technical decision but as an extension of the writer’s personality, cognitive style, and relationship with the creative process.

A theoretical reassessment of embedding by confronting French narratological models with Oriental narrative traditions. The author begins by highlighting the limitations of Mia Gerhardt’s "frame" metaphor, arguing it fails to capture the dynamic relationship between two elements of the same artistic nature. He then addresses Tzvetan Todorov’s work, which defines the embedding narrative as a "story of a story" and posits that "storytelling equals living," though Chraïbi notes that this perspective sometimes overlooks instances where the act of telling fails.A significant portion of the paper focuses on Gérard Genette and his concept of the "metadiegetic narrative". Chraïbi critiques Genette’s functional typology (explanatory, predictive, etc.) using the Odyssey as a case study. He argues that what Genette labels an "explanatory metadiegetic narrative" is often merely an analepsis (a fragment of a story) rather than a complete, autonomous tale. Consequently, Chraïbi suggests moving beyond these categories to define embedding through a change in both narrative instance and story. He introduces more pragmatic functions: the retributive function (storytelling as a life-saving currency) and the evaluative function (storytelling as an intellectual test for the listener).

Objective Projection (OP) proposes that narrative texts can elicit reproducible biophysical responses in readers, independent of subjective emotional labels. The first iteration, OPCT v1.0, defined a measurement protocol using electrocardiography (EKG), galvanic skin response (GSR), and pupillometry during reading, but limitations in sample size, author variance control, and statistical rigor necessitated refinement. Here, I present OPCT v2.0, a preregistered experimental framework designed to systematically evaluate whether the same physical narrative matrix produces convergent biophysical outputs across multiple authors. In OPCT v2.0, three authors independently generate text from an identical Objective Projection Matrix (OPM), adhering to controlled syntax, word count, and prohibition of affective labeling. A sample of 80 participants reads all texts in a randomized within-subject design, with baseline and washout periods to reduce carryover effects. Biophysical outputs-including heart rate variability (HRV), skin conductance, and pupil dilation-are recorded continuously. Mixed-effects models analyze author and participant effects, while inter-subject correlation and effect size metrics quantify convergence. Confounders such as reading speed, text difficulty, and attention are monitored. This protocol explicitly separates biophysical output from subjective emotional labeling, addressing criticisms regarding variability in individual affective responses. The study's preregistered design, inclusion of confidence intervals, and replication plan across independent laboratories aim to maximize falsifiability. By systematically testing the reproducibility of narrative-induced physiological responses, OPCT v2.0 bridges literary theory with experimental neuroscience, potentially establishing a rigorous methodology for objective narrative engineering.

Two empirical puzzles have resisted adequate theoretical explanation. First, why do minor triggers produce catastrophic psychological reactions disproportionate to their apparent magnitude? Second, why does chronic rage—now widespread across digital and polarized populations—so rarely produce violent action?

This paper proposes that both puzzles share a structural explanation. Psychological deterioration operates not as a sequence of discrete stages but as a dynamic pressure system in which stages activate sequentially but accumulate concurrently, with inter-chamber reinforcement creating compounding effects that exceed simple addition. We term this framework the Uncertainty–Narrative–Fear–Isolation–Rage–Extremism (UNFIRE) model. Disproportional reactions are explained by total system load: minor triggers land on a fully pressurized multi-chamber system, producing responses proportional to accumulated pressure rather than trigger magnitude. Two individuals at the same apparent clinical stage may carry dramatically different total system pressure—and face dramatically different risk.

The second puzzle is explained by the Critical Convergence Threshold (CCT): transition from chronic rage to action requires three factors to converge simultaneously—narrative totalization, complete hopelessness, and an authorization mechanism we term the Logic Gate. Each is necessary; none is sufficient alone. The mathematical consequence of requiring all three to align across nine sequential substages produces a structurally predicted low completion rate (illustrative example: 0.7 ≈ 4%), consistent with available clinical prevalence data (Asnis et al.,⁹ 1997; Swanson et al., 1990). Gender disparities in completed violence—men at 3–4× women's rate despite comparable rage states—provide population-level evidence that totalization and hopelessness, not validation access, are the rate-limiting factors. Extremism is designated E* to reflect its status as an emergent attractor state rather than a guaranteed pathway stage.

The model is presented as a theoretical framework awaiting empirical validation and generates falsifiable predictions at physiological, psychological, and population levels. The full theoretical treatment is provided in the companion monograph (Howell, forthcoming).

T.S. Eliot's 1919 concept of the "objective correlative" has long served as the dominant framework for understanding the relationship between literary objects and emotional response. This paper argues that while Eliot's formulation represented a critical advance beyond pure expressionism, it remained fundamentally incomplete: a descriptive mechanism without predictive or engineering capacity. The Bulut Doctrine's Objective Projection (OP) methodology constitutes a structural break (Kuhnian paradigm shift) from the Eliotic tradition, replacing evocation-based aesthetics with a mathematically formalized, probabilistically convergent narrative physics. We demonstrate that OP does not merely extend Eliot but operates within an entirely distinct epistemological register-transforming literary theory from a hermeneutic discipline into an applied physical science. Key contributions include the projS operator, the six-variable spatial-temporal matrix, Narrative Entropy (Sn), and the Universal Biological Interface (UBI) model of cross-cultural response convergence.

t hree broad ambitions animate this study. Building on research in evolutionary social science, we aimed (1) to construct a model of human nature-of motives, emotions, features of personality, and preferences in marital partners; (2) use that model to analyze some specific body of literary texts and the responses of readers to those texts, and (3) produce data-information that could be quantified and could serve to test specific hypotheses about those texts. evolutionary social science is still in the process of constructing a full and adequate model of human nature. evolutionary social scientists know much already about how human reproductive behavior and human sociality fit into the larger pattern of human evolution. they still have much to learn, though, about the ways literature and the other arts enter into human nature. our model of human nature draws on our knowledge of imaginative culture, integrates that knowledge with evolutionary theories of culture, and produces data that enable us to draw conclusions on an issue of broad significance for both literary study and evolutionary social science: the adaptive function of literature and the other arts. 1 in order to make advances in knowledge, it is necessary to choose some particular subject. The research on collective victimhood has become a focus of attention in the past
few decades, mainly in social psychology, and within that, mainly in the narrative
direction. But both the theoretical and empirical results are well applicable to
almost the whole range of social sciences, including political science, sociology,
anthropology, communication science, applied linguistics, and so on.
This chapter examines the relationship between securitization and collective
victimization, primarily from the perspective of religious studies and social psychology.
In addition to firstly detailing the concept of securitization and the victimization
approach, the chapter will secondly focus on how these two concepts
can be interpreted and analyzed from the perspective of applied religious studies.
In other words, what possibilities we have to incorporate this knowledge and what
added value we can bring to the social science discourse by incorporating a religious
studies perspective.
The chapter tries to make this point in two ways: firstly, by making claims about
collective, competing victimhood in the Central and Eastern European (CEE)
region, and secondly, by providing two summaries, both of which show the applicability
of the religious studies perspective with specific Hungarian examples.
It is crucial that the study focuses on threat narratives in public discourse rather
than on approaches to national security. It also ignores the historical or specific
role of different sides or actors, that is, it concentrates exclusively on the thematic
manifestations of threat in the discursive space.
