Current trajectories in Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) seek to eliminate "human friction"the latency introduced by manual oversight and verification-in pursuit of autonomous recursive selfimprovement. This paper argues that this objective is fundamentally mis-specified. Any system that recursively interprets the world through internal models-a process formalized by the coupling operator C-faces an unavoidable stability constraint: recursive inference generates informational entropy, which accumulates unless actively exported. We show that such systems require an Entropy Sink-an external process that absorbs disorder and injects negative feedback correlated with external reality. Movement I: Necessity. We establish that sinks are required through four convergent arguments: (i) information-theoretic (Markov-closed loops cannot self-correct), (ii) control-theoretic (stability requires external damping), (iii) thermodynamic (computation generates disorder requiring export), and (iv) operational (coupled systems require active error construction, not passive gradient descent). Movement II: Structural Barriers. We establish that fully general artificial sinks face irreducible structural barriers through three closure results: (i) any sink capable of detecting meaningful drift must implement emergence, forcing phase-lock with the system it monitors (the Emergence Trilemma); (ii) biological systems exhibit non-vanishing estimation error due to parameter drift across incommensurate timescales, while current AI systems are in-principle modelable (the Non-Ergodic Boundary); (iii) any sink specification clean enough to formalize is clean enough to capture (Irreducibility). Human cognition serves as the prototypical entropy sink not by design but by nature: metabolic flux, social coupling, environmental embedding, and neural plasticity generate irreducible parameter drift that renders humans non-modelable. The "limitations" of human oversight-slowness, inconsistency, metabolic cost-are precisely the features that make it viable. We conclude that sustainable intelligence is not achieved by eliminating human involvement, but by preserving the sink. Alignment is not a problem to be solved but a tension to be managed.

Over the past three decades, business managers and academic researchers have shown considerable interest in understanding how information systems (IS) can lead to competitive advantages for firms. Although in the United States researchers have found that IS competences lead to competitive advantages, it remains unknown whether firms working in emerging economies can capitalize on IS competence for competitive advantages. We examine the moderating effect of the learning intensity of organizations on the relationship between IS competence and competitive advantages in 122 Chinese firms. Data were collected from a mailed survey of 122 information-technology (IT) managers. The results indicate that flexibility of IT infrastructure, IT business skills, and learning intensity have significant effects on competitive advantages. The learning intensity of organizations positively moderates the relationship between IS business skills and competitive advantages, but has no moderating effect on the relationship between the flexibility of IT infrastructure and competitive advantages.

As these models evolve through continuous feedback, they sharpen their predictive capacity and enable organizations to respond to change more swiftly and effectively. This research investigates how learning-based analytical architectures are redefining decision processes in different sectors. It explores the influence of automated reasoning, evolving algorithms, and predictive analysis on strategic design, operational refinement, and accuracy of insight. The paper also examines alternative system structures, methods of implementation, and applied examples that demonstrate practical gains in flexibility, productivity, and organizational performance. The discussion concludes that the combination of self-improving computation and analytical reasoning is remaking how enterprises derive and apply knowledge, stimulating innovation, strengthening competitiveness, and ensuring sustainable advancement within the information-driven economy.

The fact that the Internet is attracting so much attention and that more and more people are using it indicates a huge consumer market. This serves as a strong impetus for businesses to try to benefit from it. This study investigated the use of the Internet by small to medium enterprises in Singapore. It reports on the nature of usage of the Internet, the benefits associated with using the Internet for business and explores the role of business planning, Internet planning and resourcing in the success of Internet use.

Prevailing information privacy theories have advanced understanding of how users evaluate privacy risks. Yet, they leave important aspects of user behavior insufficiently explained, particularly why some consumers proactively protect their personal information, whereas others remain passive despite expressing similar privacy concerns. Much of this research relies on privacy concerns as the primary indicator of privacy attitudes. Privacy concerns are crucial, but they largely capture users’ risk-focused evaluations of data collection, use, and disclosure. They therefore explain how users react to perceived privacy threats better than how users develop sustained engagement in protecting their privacy. We propose and test the Theory of Privacy Interests to explain this consumer-side engagement. By privacy interests, we mean users’ experiential engagement with protecting their personal information—the extent to which privacy protection is meaningful to them, they feel competent to pursue it, and they believe their actions can influence privacy outcomes. This construct refers to users’ privacy-protective interests, not to the economic or strategic interests of firms, platforms, or other producers that supply privacy-adjacent digital environments. Drawing on the Heideggerian onto-epistemological framework, we conceptualize privacy interests as experience-based, skillful engagement with privacy protection that develops through users’ repeated interactions with digital environments, privacy risks, and privacy-protective practices. We empirically examine privacy interests and privacy concerns as distinct but complementary constructs. Across three scale-development data collections and four survey studies with 3,922 participants, we find that privacy interests are more effective in explaining proactive privacy actions. In contrast, privacy concerns are more effective in explaining reactive privacy actions. This research operationalizes the Heideggerian onto-epistemological framework to shift attention from users’ risk evaluation to users’ sustained engagement in actualizing privacy protection. In doing so, our research offers a complementary explanation for variation in consumer privacy behavior and advances research on privacy attitudes, privacy actions, and the privacy paradox.

Organisasi modern menghadapi dinamika lingkungan bisnis yang semakin kompleks dan penuh ketidakpastian. Perubahan teknologi yang berlangsung cepat, intensitas persaingan yang semakin tinggi, serta tuntutan konsumen yang terus berkembang menuntut perusahaan untuk memiliki kemampuan adaptasi yang tinggi dan berkelanjutan. Selain itu, faktor eksternal seperti perubahan regulasi, kondisi ekonomi global, serta disrupsi digital turut memengaruhi cara organisasi menjalankan aktivitas bisnisnya. Dalam kondisi tersebut, analisis organisasi menjadi sangat penting untuk memahami posisi perusahaan secara menyeluruh, baik dari sisi internal maupun eksternal, sehingga dapat merespons perubahan dengan tepat. Salah satu pendekatan yang banyak digunakan adalah analisis berbasis sumber daya (Resource-Based View/RBV) dan analisis rantai nilai, yang membantu organisasi mengidentifikasi kekuatan internal serta potensi keunggulan kompetitif yang dimiliki secara lebih sistematis dan mendalam. Pendekatan sumber daya menekankan bahwa keberhasilan organisasi tidak hanya ditentukan oleh kondisi pasar atau lingkungan eksternal, tetapi juga oleh kemampuan internal dalam mengelola aset, kapabilitas, dan kompetensi yang dimiliki secara efektif. Melalui konsep seperti VRIO (Value, Rarity, Imitability, Organization) dan analisis rantai nilai, perusahaan dapat menilai aktivitas mana yang memberikan nilai tambah terbesar serta sumber daya mana yang benar-benar menjadi keunggulan strategis yang sulit ditiru oleh pesaing. Pendekatan ini juga mendorong organisasi untuk lebih fokus pada pengembangan kompetensi inti (core competencies) sebagai fondasi keunggulan jangka panjang. Selain itu, kegiatan scanning terhadap functional resources memungkinkan organisasi untuk mengevaluasi setiap fungsi secara lebih spesifik, mulai dari pemasaran, keuangan, operasi, sumber daya manusia, hingga penelitian dan pengembangan. Dengan adanya evaluasi yang terstruktur tersebut, organisasi dapat mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan kelemahan secara lebih akurat, sehingga pengambilan keputusan strategis dapat dilakukan secara lebih tepat, terarah, dan berbasis data. Di sisi lain, perkembangan teknologi informasi, khususnya internet, telah mengubah cara organisasi melakukan proses scanning dan analisis lingkungan secara signifikan. Akses informasi yang cepat, luas, dan real-time memberikan peluang besar bagi perusahaan untuk meningkatkan kualitas pengambilan keputusan serta mempercepat respons terhadap perubahan pasar. Organisasi kini dapat memanfaatkan berbagai teknologi seperti big data analytics, artificial intelligence, dan sistem informasi berbasis digital untuk memperoleh insight yang lebih mendalam. Namun, di balik berbagai manfaat tersebut, terdapat pula tantangan yang harus dihadapi, seperti kelebihan informasi (information overload), validitas dan kredibilitas data, serta risiko keamanan siber yang semakin meningkat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu pendekatan yang terintegrasi dalam menganalisis organisasi, tidak hanya melalui pemanfaatan teknologi, tetapi juga melalui mekanisme evaluasi seperti audit kebijakan bisnis dan penggunaan alat analisis seperti matriks IFAS. Dengan pendekatan yang komprehensif tersebut, perusahaan diharapkan mampu merumuskan strategi yang lebih efektif, adaptif, dan berkelanjutan dalam menghadapi dinamika lingkungan bisnis yang terus berkembang.

This thesis is an empirical investigation of the strategic use of information in the airline industry, and explores the development of competition in the airline industry from an information perspective. The research traces the evolution in the environmental conditions facing airlines from World War I to the present. The research also analyses evolution of the uses of information. Information is an enabler, allowing things to be done, but information can also be a resource in itself. The research finds growing strategic use of information from automation to using information as a resource for strategic flexibility. The main sources of information that airlines use in their strategic efforts are analysed, as well as the ways in which airlines procure this information and the uses they make of it in strategy. The research finds evidence of distinct phases in the evolution of the uses made of information by airlines. Crucial to airline strategic flexibility is local market information acquired informally. However, the evidence also illustrates the serious difficulties airlines face in using the external information about the markets in which they operate in their strategy. Dalam konteks strategic management, proses ini dikenal sebagai organizational analysis atau organizational scanning, yaitu kegiatan sistematis untuk mengidentifikasi kekuatan dan kelemahan internal organisasi sebagai dasar dalam pengambilan keputusan strategis (Hitt et al., 2020).
Kebijakan bisnis (business policy) memiliki peran penting dalam mengarahkan proses analisis organisasi tersebut. Kebijakan bisnis berfungsi sebagai pedoman dalam merumuskan, mengimplementasikan, dan mengevaluasi strategi organisasi agar tetap selaras dengan tujuan jangka panjang perusahaan. Menurut David et al. (2020), kebijakan bisnis merupakan kerangka yang menghubungkan antara formulasi strategi dan implementasi strategi, sehingga memastikan bahwa seluruh aktivitas organisasi berjalan secara terarah dan terkoordinasi.

Information systems have been a well researched topic based on their development, implementation, effectiveness, success and, more recently, business-IT alignment. A literature review has revealed that one domain (i.e., the IS service quality and its measurement) has gained considerable prominence in the last one and a half decades, after the recognition of significance of IS service quality in measuring IS effectiveness. However, there are still only few studies which identify the critical factors influencing the IS service quality from an organizational perspective. In this paper, using Giddens' theory of structuration, we identify the factors affecting the IS service quality and organize them into a conceptual integrative analytical framework. After presenting the conceptual framework, we discuss a case study to explain how the framework can be used to improve the quality of IT services in an organization. The proposed framework will facilitate organizations to judge the present state of their IT ecosystem and guide them to improve their IT service quality.

Advanced analytics enables treasury departments to transform large volumes of financial data into actionable insights that support better decision-making. Through the use of technologies such as predictive analytics, machine learning, big data analytics, and data visualization tools, treasury professionals can analyze cash flow patterns, forecast liquidity needs, manage financial risks, and optimize investment strategies. In a data-driven treasury environment, financial data from multiple sources such as banking systems, enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms, and market databases are integrated and analyzed in real time. Advanced analytics helps identify trends, detect anomalies, and simulate different financial scenarios, enabling treasury managers to make informed and proactive decisions. This approach improves transparency, operational efficiency, and accuracy in financial forecasting. Furthermore, data-driven treasury decision-making enhances risk management by providing predictive insights into market fluctuations, currency exposures, and interest rate movements. Organizations that adopt advanced analytics in treasury operations gain a competitive advantage by responding quickly to financial challenges and opportunities. Despite its benefits, the implementation of advanced analytics in treasury management may face challenges such as data quality issues, integration complexity, and the need for skilled data analysts. Overall, the integration of advanced analytics into treasury functions represents a significant step toward intelligent and strategic financial management.

Abstract
This paper develops a structurally precise account of what may legitimately be called “Epistemic Physics.” The term is not introduced as a new disciplinary orthodoxy but as a formally delimited integrative program emerging from convergent developments in quantum foundations, relational approaches, information-theoretic reconstruction, scientific machine learning, and architectural treatments of measurement. A contribution belongs within epistemic physics if and only if its epistemic commitments alter admissible state spaces, transformation rules, or stability structures of physical description.
The paper proceeds in four stages. First, it reconstructs the historical and conceptual trajectories that foreground epistemic commitments in modern physics. Second, it introduces the two companion frameworks—Epistemological Special Relativity of Measurement Agents (ESRM) and Epistemic Measurement Dynamics (EMD)—that together constitute the theoretical core. Third, it formally articulates EMD in C*-algebraic quantum theory, introducing sensitivity metrics, spectral stability constraints, completely positive trace-preserving (CPTP) contractivity, and a compactness-based bounded-sensitivity theorem under weak-* topology. Fourth, it closes the argumentative loop by demonstrating that the formalized framework satisfies the admissibility criterion and clarifies the relation of this structural layer to ontological-model no-go theorems and to QBist interpretations. The resulting framework is ontologically neutral and mathematically rigorous.

After reconstructing historical trajectories in quantum foundations, relational interpretations, information-theoretic reconstruction, and scientific machine learning, the paper introduces Epistemic Measurement Dynamics (EMD) as a general framework in which epistemic constraints operate directly on representational structure. EMD is formalized in C*-algebraic quantum theory through weak-* compactness, spectral stability constraints, completely positive trace-preserving (CPTP) contractivity, and a structurally derived bounded-sensitivity theorem. The framework’s relation to ontological-model no-go theorems is clarified, and its ontological neutrality is defended

The next two years was a period of experimentation; traditional office procedures had to be remodelled to suit automatic operation. By the end of 1953 a reliable system had been evolved, and the preparation of the pay-roll for a department comprising 1700 employees was entrusted to LEO. It is interesting to note that the success of the project was so complete and immediate that parallel work in the wages office was stopped a month later. The position at the time of writing, some four years later, is that the LEO produces weekly pay-roll for about 15,000 people, together with a detailed analysis for costing and accounting purposes. The complete job takes about six hours each week. All the pay calculations, including PAYE and other deductions, right through to the printing of the pay-slips, and carried out automatically in one operation. We develop Future Access Without Presence (FAWP) within the Volumetric Time Model (VTM) introduced in [1]. VTM frames spacetime as a fixed, constraint-conditioned history space on a compact Lorentzian manifold volume, where uncertainty arises from Bayesian conditioning on partial data rather than dynamical creation of futures. We place VTM inside a broader field, Operational Accessibility Theory of Selection (OATS), which studies limits of controllable influence as a function of operational access to information under latency, noise, and energetic constraints. Perceived agency is operationalized via delayed mutual information in feedback loops, with latency reducing detectable influence without altering the underlying admissible history set. A toy binary symmetric channel illustrates feedback collapse. Quantum entanglement (via CHSH inequality violation) exemplifies global constraints without signaling, aligning with timeless interpretations. Together these elements connect classical latency-limited agency to quantum nonlocal correlations in a unified constraint-based framework.

This paper proposes a fundamental shift in the ontology of strategy. Rather than treating strategy as a matter of rational choice under uncertainty, we argue that strategy can be understood as a necessary phenomenon-the emergent response of complex-adaptive systems exposed to irreducible uncertainty and thermodynamic constraint. Grounded in the Second Law, the Quantum-Complex-Entropic-Adaptive Theory (QCEA-T) formalises strategic behaviour as that which must arise when systems face entropic drift, incomplete information, and selection pressure. We model strategic systems as open ensembles governed by coherence dynamics, with inference encoded via quantum measurement processes and evolution shaped by architectural constraints. In this formulation, strategy is not a plan, but a recursive structure for surviving uncertainty while maintaining coherence. Classical planning and game theory are recovered in the degenerate limit of commuting observables and vanishing entropy. The theory yields eighteen formally stated Strategic Laws-each with a mathematical form, test protocol, and diagnostic signature-together defining the boundary conditions of strategic viability. QCEA-T provides the first simulationnative, law-based framework for modelling, diagnosing, and designing strategy in real systems. It explains why strategy emerges, what constrains it, and how to test its coherence in practice.

We define and formalise a single, generalisable scientific object: the Strategic Organism. The Strategic Organism is the universal bearer of strategy-understood here as coherencepreserving inference-and-action under entropy (QCEA)-in any domain where persistence is non-trivial under three joint constraints: (i) entropic drift (nonstationary contexts in which coherence decays unless actively maintained), (ii) irreducibly incomplete information (in which available data are necessarily retrospective and the future is underdetermined by the past), and (iii) scarce accessible low-entropy inputs (bounded resource flux, including the metabolic cost of cognition itself). In such regimes, viability requires (a) a closed information-action architecture whose regulation is itself regulated as drift tempo shifts, and (b) a closed resource architecture that searches, acquires, converts, consumes, stores, and (when applicable) exchanges scarce resources to sustain the system and to pay the cognitive and organisational costs of control. The core construct is the predicate SO(X), presented as a scale-agnostic cybernetic admissibility criterion: a system qualifies iff it exhibits autopoietic closure; closes a strongly connected Information-Action Cycle (IAC); closes an explicit Resource Cycle (RC); instantiates a minimal operator set for sensing, communication, compression/inference, decision, action, repair, metagovernance, and time-distributed update; and (when applicable) satisfies a multilevel coherence constraint preventing subsystem policies from violating persistence at the designated system level. The IAC is metabolically priced : sensing, inference, imagination, communication, decision, repair, and metagovernance are treated as resource-consuming operations whose costs compete with all other demands on the resource cycle. This coupling makes bounded rationality, heuristic collapse, rigidity under stress, and strategic failure under tightening scarcity derivable as viability-preserving reallocations rather than as informal limitations. This paper synthesises two companion foundations: We adopt Mak's Cybernetic Intelligence Protocol (CIP) as the intelligence spine; in this manuscript we treat CIP as strategic intelligence (terms used interchangeably) [Mak, 2025]. We also adopt Williams [2025b], which formalises strategy as coherence-preserving inference-and-action under entropy and irreducibly incomplete information and provides the 18 Laws of Strategy (Axioms S1-S18) used here via a binding satisfaction bridge. The formal specification is contained in this paper as Definitions D1-D18, Axioms S1-S18 (verbatim), Candidate Equivalence C1, Theorems T1-T8, and explicit internal proofs. Annex A provides the primitive registry and minimal typing semantics (including resource and cognitive-cost primitives). Annex B provides a binding satisfaction-to-law bridge so the English axioms can be used as constraints without rewriting them. Annex C reproduces (in compatibility form) Mak's CIP spine and maps it to SI(X) and the Mak functional block used here.

Enterprises operating at scale increasingly depend on accurate, consistent, and trustworthy data to support analytics, regulatory reporting, operational execution, and strategic decision making, yet traditional rule-based data quality programs have struggled to keep pace with rising data volumes, heterogeneous data sources, and rapidly changing business conditions. This study addresses the persistent gap between static data validation techniques and the dynamic error patterns that emerge within modern enterprise platforms by developing and evaluating machine learning driven frameworks designed to identify, classify, and prioritize data quality issues with higher precision and adaptability. Using a mixed methodological approach that integrates architectural analysis, quantitative experimentation, and scenario-oriented evaluation, the research examines how supervised learning models, probabilistic classifiers, and feature engineered validation pipelines can outperform conventional rule sets in detecting anomalies, missing values, inconsistent records, and entity level conflicts across complex datasets. Findings demonstrate that machine learning models achieve substantial gains in accuracy, recall, and operational robustness, while also improving the interpretability of validation decisions when embedded within structured enterprise workflows. The study presents innovative validation strategies that combine predictive modeling with governance-oriented feedback loops, enabling organizations to respond to evolving data behaviors and reduce downstream operational risks. Searches for charginos, neutralinos and sleptons at LEP2 centre-of-mass energies from 130 GeV to 189 GeV have been used to set lower limits on the mass of the Lightest Supersymmetric Particle and other supersymmetric particles within the MSSM framework. R-parity conservation has been assumed. The lightest neutralino was found to be heavier than 32.3 GeV/c 2 independent of the m 0 value. The lightest chargino, the second-to-lightest neutralino, the next-toheaviest neutralino, the heaviest neutralino, the sneutrino and the right-handed selectron were found to be heavier than 62.4 GeV/c 2 , 62.4 GeV/c 2 , 99.9 GeV/c 2 , 116.0 GeV/c 2 , 61.0 GeV/c 2 , and 87.0 GeV/c 2 , respectively. These limits do not depend on m 0 or M 2 and are valid for 1 ≤ tanβ ≤ 40, in the µ region where the lightest neutralino is the LSP. If the sneutrino Is heavier than the chargino the lightest neutralino has to be heavier than 32.4 GeV/c 2 . The effects of mixings in the third family of sfermions on these limits are discussed. This study explores grocery retailers' adoption and use of mobile Sales Force Applications (SFA). The researchers present a novel model integrating the unified theory of acceptance and use of technology 2 (UTAUT2), innovation resistance theory (IRT) frameworks, and flow experience. Application of the model led to the findings that UTAUT2 constructs (performance expectancy, effort expectancy, social influence, facilitating conditions, hedonic motivation, and habit) are key drivers of mobile SFA adoption. Interestingly, anticipated barriers related to usability, tradition, and image did not significantly hinder acceptance. A quantitative survey was used to test the model by targeting grocery retailers in Malaysia's urban and rural locations. The findings underscore the critical role of mobile SFA technology for fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies to encourage grocery retailers to adopt SFA in addressing rising sales operation costs, especially in the significant traditional grocery retail channels in developing Asian economies.

Permasalahan ini disebabkan belum fokusnya perusahaan dalam memberikan pemahaman cara perusahaan menghasilkan profit dengan model bisnis berbasis Business Model Canvas (BMC), seperti produk yang dihasilkan memiliki kesamaan dengan salah satu perusahaan BUMNIS lain yang juga bergerak pada bidang heavy industry. Oleh karena itu PT. Boma-Bisma-Indra (Persero) perlu meredesain BMC eksisting dengan strategi bersaing yang tepat dan sesuai dengan arahan sasaran strategis BUMN pada kluster heavy industry dan melaksanakan pengukuran kinerja untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pencapaian kinerja perusahaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan model redesain BMC PT. Boma-Bisma-Indra (Persero) melalui Expert Judgement dengan Blue Ocean Strategy (BOS) dan menerjemahkan redesain tersebut menjadi sistem manajemen kinerja Balanced Scorecard (BSC) pada level korporat sebagai pedoman implementasi bisnis dengan hasil capaian yang terukur dan komprehensif. Hal ini dilakukan dengan cara mengembangkan konsep terjemahan BMC menuju BSC dengan mengidentifikasi sasaran strategis pada setiap perspektif BSC sesuai dengan blok bangunan BMC dan proses penyusunan Key Performance Indicator (KPI) dengan metode interview kepada para manajer dan Board of Director PT. Boma Bisma Indra (Persero). Sembilan faktor persaingan kluster heavy industry BUMNIS di Indonesia telah diidentifikasi yang kemudian dinilai untuk mengetahui posisi persaingan saat ini dengan kanvas strategi. The task of the CIO or information technology (IT) manager is to steer the technology base of the company in the right direction with the right solution choices. To innovate their business models companies often rely on emerging technologies in IT (EIT). Disruption introduced by EIT affects the ability of IT organizations to sustain the continuity of services required by the business. Therefore, IT organizations are reluctant to act quickly to integrate EIT. Through in-depth case studies in IT services companies, field interviews and focus group discussions with practitioners who underwent business model innovations based on IT, the research attempts to learn what mechanisms CIOs adopt to motivate IT organizations to innovate. Whilst proposing several directions for future research, this study offers an empirically supported CIO typology in the context of business model innovation based on IT.

In this paper we explore how management of sustainability in organisations can be supported by business intelligence (BI) systems. We suggest that BI has an important role to play in helping organisations implement and monitor sustainable practices. We pay particular attention to one phase of any BI project, the information planning phase, i.e., the systematic way of defining relevant information in order to integrate it in reporting activities. Using grounded theory, the main contribution of our study is to propose a conceptual model that seeks to support the process of integration of socio-environmental indicators into organizational strategy for sustainability.
