A research project coordinated within EQUALITAS has secured funding in the 2025 “Proyectos de Generación de Conocimiento” call.

The “Agencia Estatal de Investigación” has published the results of the call for non-oriented research projects, awarding funding for the next three years to the project "Inequality and Policy" (INEQPOL). The project is coordinated by Gustavo Marrero and Carlos Bethencourt (Universidad de La Laguna) and includes four additional sub-projects led by Xavier Ramos and Manuel Fernando Flores (UAB), Carlos Gradín (UVigo), Sara Ayllón (Universitat de Girona), and Juan Gabriel Rodríguez (Universidad Complutense de Madrid). 

Our colleague Luis Ayala Cañón new president of Cáritas Española.

With this appointment, he also assumes the presidency of the FOESSA Foundation (Promotion of Social Studies and Applied Sociology), an entity linked to Cáritas with which Luis has collaborated for many years. This Foundation is responsible for, among other studies, the prestigious FOESSA Reports on social exclusion and development in Spain. Cáritas is in good hands.
