One year on since launching AGL Community Power, we’re making real progress in building a more inclusive energy transition. We’re collaborating with the Point Pearce Aboriginal Corporation (PPAC) on Narungga Country in South Australia to offer free installation of solar and battery systems to all homes across the town, with the systems to be owned and maintained by PPAC. The program is aimed at helping to lower electricity bills for eligible households and support ongoing access to reliable, renewable energy for the community. It’s part of our commitment to reconciliation and to working alongside First Nations communities in ways that create shared benefits through the transition. Our 2026 first-year Bayswater apprentices took home three major awards at the regional Mining Skills Presentation Night, including the top honour for Ella Bridge, who summed it up best: “It’s awesome to be recognised and to look back at how much progress we’ve all made.”   An outstanding result, and a clear sign of the talent and drive shaping our future workforce. We partnered with RRG Capital Management (RRG) to deliver a renewable microgrid for Koompartu Farms in South Australia’s Riverland. Designed to help meet the farm’s 6.7 MW energy needs, the microgrid will boost local grid capacity, reduce diesel genset use by an estimated 88%, and provide the reliable power needed to keep operations running. Delivered under a 20-year Power Purchase Agreement, AGL built, owns, operates and maintains the system, supplying power to Koompartu Farms.
