eBay is excited to announce Trosort as the global winner of the 2026 Circular Fashion Fund, recognising its innovative approach to advancing circularity in fashion. Selected from eight international finalists across the EU, UK, US and Australia, Trosort impressed the judges with its AI-powered textile sorting technology, helping to digitise and modernise secondhand clothing operations. Their solution addresses one of the industry’s biggest infrastructure challenges: enabling scalable, efficient textile sorting to reduce waste and unlock more circular retail systems. As the 2026 winner, Trosort will receive a US$300,000 investment from eBay Ventures. A huge congratulations to our Australian finalists Circular Sourcing and Ragpiq, recognised among the global top eight, a fantastic achievement and a strong reflection of the local innovation in circular fashion. Since launching in 2022, the program has supported more than 30 businesses globally, with an investment of nearly $1.9M USD by the end of 2026. As we look ahead, we’re excited to see what's next for recommerce. A huge milestone for Trosort and a powerful example of the innovation driving the future of fashion forward. Australian Fashion Week, hosted by Australian Fashion Council (AFC), marked a major milestone for eBay Live and our Fashion category. In our fifth year partnering with AFW, we evolved our on ground presence by launching Fashion on eBay Live, bringing real-time shopping to one of the industry’s biggest stages. Across the week, we streamed Fashion & Luxury Live shows with sellers including EKOLUV, The Purse Affair, CalBest, Trading in Style and The Harmonic - showcasing the strength of premium inventory on eBay Live. Our latest Global Watchlist Trend Report reflects this demand, with strong performance in legacy luxury alongside growing momentum in emerging labels. For the first time, streams were also projected across large public screens at the front of the MCA in Circular Quay, extending the experience into the city. We closed the week by presenting the Vogue Vintage Market in Australia for the first time. A significant moment for circular fashion locally, positioning resale within a premium, editorial environment through our partnership with Vogue Australia. We went live with two streams from the market, including one featuring model Gemma Ward and Vogue Australia editors. Showcasing rare pieces from Gucci, Chanel, Prada and leading Australian designers - we had items starting at just $1 and a final penny drop item selling for 1 cent within seconds. Bringing eBay Live to AFW, in partnership with the Australian Fashion Council (AFC) and Vogue Australia, reflects how we’re connecting Australians with the brands, pieces and value they’re looking for through modern, interactive ways to shop - reinforcing eBay’s role at the intersection of commerce, culture and community. Selling on eBay Australia just got a whole lot easier - it’s now free to sell! We’ve listened to feedback from Australians who told us fees were a key barrier to getting started. That’s why eligible sellers can now enjoy zero transaction fees on up to $25,000 in annual sales. It’s all about opening up recommerce to more people, whether they’re rehoming pre-loved items, making some extra income, or taking the first step toward building something bigger. We’re also rolling out enhancements to make selling more seamless, including AI-powered listing tools, integrated shipping using labels purchased on eBay, with discounted rates, built-in tracking and printerless options, plus secure payments and protections for added confidence on both sides of the transaction. This milestone is the result of strong collaboration across our product, engineering, marketing, operations and other global and cross-functional teams – continuously transforming to meet customer needs. By lowering barriers and improving the experience, we’re continuing to evolve eBay for the next generation of sellers. What a ride at Summernats 38 🔥 The eBay Garage made its return to Australia’s most iconic automotive event - becoming the ultimate destination to cool down… even while things were heating up inside. Across the weekend, the Garage was alive with activity - from racing sims competitions and exclusive merch to live burnout action streamed on screen. A series of talent panels hosted by car media personality J-Bens (Josh Bennis) also drew strong crowds, with special guests including AFL legend Brendan Fevola and his daughter Leni, Former AFL star Charlie Dixon, Burnout champion Jake Myers and Drift driver Mercury (Mercurial Mouse), who shared perspectives across motorsport, sport and car culture. Massive thanks to our key seller partners who helped us showcase the strength of the eBay marketplace - SpeedParts, Anthonysdiecasts and Frontline Hobbies - each bringing standout inventory, expertise and passion to the floor. What a weekend at Oz Comic Con! Over the weekend, eBay Live took centre stage at Oz Comic Con, bringing together fans, collectors, and creators for two incredible days of live shopping, storytelling, and connection. From Pokémon cards, One Piece, and Manga Rare to custom costume creations and limited-edition merch, the energy was electric as fans tuned in and stopped by to watch eBay sellers and special guests share their passion — live and in real time. We were joined by some amazing talent and sellers who made the experience truly unforgettable. A big thank you to Heartbreak High star Chloé Hayden, Youtuber Unlisted Leaf, AFL player Jacob Weitering, Youtuber okJLUV, and amazing sellers including MadeOfLucy, The Hobby (The Hobby Australia), PCAMART, and DropZoneAu. Throughout the weekend, shoppers experienced what makes eBay Live unique: the ability to interact with sellers, ask questions in real time, and secure items while live.
