  • We're heading along to the AIRAH Melbourne Industry Night on Wednesday 5 August at the Melbourne Showgrounds, always a great night for learning, networking, and catching up on what's new across the HVAC&R industry. You'll find Adele Maguire, our Business Development Manager, and Chloe Mills, our Account Manager in Energy Efficiency, at table 25.  Come by for a chat about air conditioning, energy efficiency, certificate creation, or the latest incentive programs. Nearly two decades in this market have taught us one thing: the best conversations happen face to face. See you there!

  • The IEA's mid-2026 electricity update lande and one number stands out for Australia. In Q2 2026, wholesale electricity prices rose more than 30% year-on-year in the EU and Japan. Meanwhile, in Australia, they fell around 45%. When the Strait of Hormuz disruption cut roughly 20% of global LNG supply and sent gas prices spiking, markets still reliant on gas to set electricity prices absorbed the hit directly. Australia didn't, because gas isn't setting the price as often anymore. The IEA points to two things: strong renewable generation, and rapidly expanding battery storage shifting energy from daytime to evening peaks, tripling in Q1 2026 alone. That's the difference between a market exposed to gas price shocks and one that's built flexibility around them. We're proud to work in an industry that's actually delivering on this. Australia's renewables and storage build-out is showing up directly in the numbers that matter to businesses and households right now. Source: IEA, Electricity Mid-Year Update 2026

Every solar panel has a lifecycle. What happens at the end matters. Australia is leading the world in rooftop solar, and together we need to ensure end-of-life panels are managed responsibly. The Smart Energy Council is asking Smart Installer members to share their experiences through our Solar Panel Decommissioning & Recycling Survey. Your feedback will help guide future stewardship arrangements and support better outcomes for our industry. Complete the survey by 31 July 2026 to go into the draw to win a $100 Bunnings Gift Card. The survey takes just 2 minutes to complete. Take the survey: https://hubs.ly/Q04n-xvJ0 Your experience can help shape the future of solar recycling in Australia. #SmartEnergyCouncil #SolarRecycling #CircularEconomy #SmartInstaller

  • Energy Shift 2026, hosted by Blue Sun Group, was built differently from most industry events. Instead of a general industry crowd, the room brought together one supply chain end-to-end: Sigenergy and Jinko Solar Co., Ltd. Jinko Solar Australia & New Zealand on hardware, PowerSync Technologies and Orkestra on software, and installers doing the work that ties it all together. Great conversations, thoughtful questions, and knowledge shared freely. Everyone was there for the same reason: to learn, connect and help move the industry forward. Our Solar & Battery Specialists, Tiana Bergmans and Asim Kulkarni, joined the stage to share how Green Energy Trading helps installers access government incentives and improve cash flow, making it easier to deliver more renewable energy projects. After almost 20 years in the industry, it's encouraging to be part of events like this, where the focus is on practical conversations and real opportunities for everyone in the supply chain. Thank you to Blue Sun Group for creating something genuinely valuable. We're already looking forward to the next one.

  • We've been invited to take part in Blue Sun Group's Energy Shift 2026 – The VIP Sessions, running across Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this year. As one of Australia's largest solar and battery distributors, Blue Sun Group is bringing together some of the industry's leading suppliers, experts and installers to explore what's next for commercial solar and battery. The focus is on where the commercial solar and battery market is heading: incentive changes, project economics, and the technology now available to C&I installers, EPCs, and developers. Our own Asim Kulkarni and Tiana Bergmans will be presenting on the incentive landscape alongside Sigenergy, Jinko Solar Australia & New Zealand, PowerSync Technologies and Orkestra. With nearly 20 years of experience behind us, we know there's always something new to learn. That's why we value opportunities to share knowledge and connect with the people shaping our industry. First stop: The Star, Brisbane — 21 July, 6:00–8:30 PM Sydney and Melbourne dates to follow.

  • The NSW Government has announced the Home Energy Saver Program. Up to $4,000 in upfront discounts and $15,000 in interest-free financing for eligible household energy upgrades, covering reverse cycle air conditioners, heat pumps, solar, batteries, and more. If you install any of these technologies, this program creates new conversations with customers who are ready to move. We have has been working alongside these programs since 2007. A well-designed program, properly supported, is good for households and good for the industry. As an Accredited Provider, we handle the incentive side once a loan is approved, making sure every eligible upgrade is set up correctly to generate incentives from day one.

  • We're thrilled to announce that Gemma Clement has been appointed Head of Business Development at Outperformers Next. Gemma's connection to the Green Energy Group goes all the way back to 2010. Over that time, she has built deep expertise across engineering, energy efficiency and carbon markets, and a network that spans clients, regulators and industry peers within the energy sector. In this role, she brings her technical background and commercial experience together at a genuinely exciting moment for Outperformers Next, as the business begins a new chapter within the Green Energy Group. Growing our business means creating real opportunities for people who have earned them. Gemma is exactly that. Congratulations, Gemma. We can't wait to see what you'll build.

  • Today, we welcome Outperformers Next to the Green Energy Group. We've made great gains in the residential and small business space  - and there’s plenty more to come. But we can’t fully address the challenge of climate change without properly tackling the Commercial and Industrial sectors. What comes next is hard, and it needs different thinking. This is exactly what Outperformers Next brings. Outperformers Next has spent 16 years building something genuinely impressive, working with some of our biggest household names. I’m beyond excited to see what we can build with that incredible foundation and the focus and resources of the Green Energy Group. We started in 2007 with a simple mission: Help our partners access incentives and working capital to accelerate the uptake of clean technology. That mission hasn’t changed and our commitment has only gotten stronger. This step ensures we are ‘tooled up’ for the next chapter in Australia’s electrification journey. We look forward to continuing that journey with you

  • Our team will be attending the EEC National Conference 2026 in Sydney this week, joining the conversation on what’s next for Australia’s energy transition. Australia’s next decade of emissions reduction will be harder and faster than anything we’ve tackled before. That’s exactly why events like this matter and exactly why we keep showing up. We’re also proud to be sponsoring the Industrial decarbonisation policy in 2026 session, exploring the latest policy developments in what’s set to be a big year for industrial decarbonisation, including the Federal Safeguard Mechanism review and new state government policy in development. We'll be there contributing to the conversation, as we have been for nearly two decades. Come find our team in Sydney.
