We are excited to be supporting the future of stroke care. Hydrix has been engaged by US-based medtech company Quantanosis Ai to support the development of a next-generation AI-enabled robotic stroke treatment platform. The engagement reflects Hydrix's growing capability in advanced medical robotics and intelligent therapeutic systems, where AI, automation and non-invasive treatment technologies are converging to transform healthcare. Stroke remains one of the leading causes of death and long-term disability worldwide. Quantanosis is developing a novel platform that combines advanced robotics, artificial intelligence and Histotripsy ultrasound with the goal of rapidly targeting and treating stroke-causing blood clots without invasive procedures. As our Chairman and CEO Gavin Coote explains: "What excites us most is not only the technology itself, but the potential impact." We are proud to contribute our expertise in medical device development and safety-critical systems to a program that seeks to improve outcomes for stroke patients around the world. For International Women in Engineering Day #INWED26, we wanted to celebrate the next generation of engineers and the opportunities that can shape a career from the very beginning. We recently caught up with Christabel Ly (Chrissy), who joined Hydrix while completing her Master’s in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Melbourne. One of the highlights of Chrissy’s time with us was contributing to the development and testing of Artificial Heart technology. For a student engineer, opportunities to work on life-changing medical devices at this level are rare. Being involved in such a complex and meaningful program gave her first-hand insight into how advanced medical technologies are developed and brought to life right here in Melbourne. “Getting the chance to work on Artificial Heart technology while I was still studying was incredible. It showed me the level of innovation happening right here in Melbourne and gave me experience that will stay with me throughout my career.” Balancing study, work and an internship is no small undertaking, but Chrissy embraced every opportunity to learn, contribute and grow. She has spoken about the value of working alongside experienced engineers, tackling real-world challenges and seeing how multidisciplinary teams collaborate to develop technologies that have the potential to improve and save lives. At Hydrix, we believe creating pathways for emerging engineers is one of the most important investments we can make. Through internships, industry engagement and hands-on project experience, we're committed to helping bridge the gap between university and industry while giving students the opportunity to contribute to meaningful engineering outcomes from day one. Congratulations to Chrissy on her successful internship and her transition into a Student Engineer role at Hydrix. We look forward to seeing where her engineering journey takes her next. Hydrix is on the ground at Eurosatory 2026 this week, with Peter R. Lewis AM and Peter Riddell representing the team in Paris. As one of the world's largest defence and security exhibitions, Eurosatory brings together defence primes, technology companies, and industry leaders from across Europe and allied nations. It's a busy week of meetings, demonstrations, and discussions, providing a firsthand view of the pace at which the defence sector continues to evolve. Across the exhibition, there is a clear focus on accelerated capability development, systems integration, and the delivery of increasingly complex solutions in challenging operating environments. For Hydrix, it's exciting to see how closely these market dynamics align with our capabilities in complex engineering, systems development, and mission-critical technologies. As defence organisations seek to rapidly develop and deploy next-generation capabilities, the need for experienced engineering partners continues to grow.   We're looking forward to continuing conversations, strengthening relationships, and exploring new opportunities across the global defence sector.   #Eurosatory2026 #Defence #Engineering #SystemsEngineering #DefenceTechnology #Innovation #Hydrix
