[MEET OUR SPEAKERS] Ren Fernando and Ben Stammer, Co-Founders, ReLove What if the most valuable workplace asset isn’t the one you keep... it’s the one you give away. Every year, thousands of tonnes of quality office furniture are removed from workplaces while thousands of Australians are trying to rebuild their lives without the basics needed to make a house feel like home. Ren and Ben will share how one simple idea is transforming surplus workplace assets into homes for people escaping domestic violence, homelessness and other forms of crisis. Through partnerships across the corporate real estate industry, ReLove is proving that sustainability isn’t just about reducing waste. It’s about creating lasting social impact through the circular economy. This inspiring session will challenge us to think differently about what happens when an office fitout ends and demonstrate that the greatest value isn’t always found in what we build, but in what we leave behind. Because when purpose, people and property come together, everyone benefits. ♻️ Ben and Ren don’t just talk about creating social impact - they’re living it. The FF&3 Pty Ltd x ReLove Silent Auction is live, giving quality workplace furniture a second life while raising funds to help furnish homes for people rebuilding after crisis. If you’re looking for some incredible pieces, it’s well worth a look https://lnkd.in/gV9JsnrS 🎟️ Regular tickets close 31 July https://bit.ly/CNGAUConf 🤔 Thinking about joining? • We spoke at Lendlease's NSW Development Forum last Friday - a fantastic day meeting the team, officially launching our partnership together, and showcasing how their support will help us reach more people in crisis 🏡 We explored how we can work more closely together, and encouraged the team to consider how circular economy outcomes can be built into every stage of the development process 🔄 We're excited about the opportunities ahead, and delighted to be working with a team that shares our mission to create positive social and environmental impact through the built environment. Thank you to the whole team, and especially Katherine Bushell, Jessie Lenson and Dan Baxter for inviting us to speak 🤝💜

Today was my last day at ReLove It took me a long time to find a job where I truly felt I belonged in Australia. But from the moment I joined ReLove, everything changed. I was welcomed with open arms by people who started as colleagues and became true friends. It was a place where I could make mistakes without being judged, where I had the chance to learn, grow, and even teach others along the way. Working at ReLove challenged me in so many ways. I learned how to drive a truck, communicate confidently in English, lead teams during deliveries, and, most importantly, develop a deeper sense of empathy and respect for our clients and volunteers. Without a doubt, this has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. It showed me the true impact that kindness and community can have, and I know I’ll carry those lessons. The spirit of volunteering with me forever. Thank you to the entire ReLove team. As I return to Brazil, I do so with a deep sense of gratitude and a feeling that I’ve accomplished my mission. I had the opportunity to show my value to people who truly recognized and appreciated it, and that means more than words can express. I will be forever grateful for every person, every lesson, and every moment. ❤️🇦🇺

  • Selena (Caseworker, Haymarket Foundation) has supported many clients through ReLove's doors, helping them to furnish a home after living on the streets or experiencing trauma 🏘️ ❤️🩹 "My clients haven't experienced much nurturing. When they arrive at ReLove they're fragile, their sense of trust is gone, so the ReLove shopping experience can be confronting for them. ReLove's beautiful, trauma-informed process, and focus on letting people choose without judgement, gets results. The feeling of belonging and respect imbued within the client journey at the warehouse, in the clearly cared-for furniture, and interactions with staff, helps people to come out the other side with a bit of joy." ReLove relies heavily on our network of caseworkers, donors, volunteers and staff to connect the dots behind the scenes and make that feeling possible for every person we support. Thank you Selena for sharing your experience 🤍 Follow along as we share more of the people behind ReLove 👥
