We were honoured to welcome Wurundjeri Elder, Perry Wandin and Wadawurrung woman, Corrina eccles, who shared their knowledge, perspectives and experiences with our teams. Through their stories, we gained a deeper appreciation of the enduring cultures, achievements and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Opportunities like these strengthen our commitment to listening, learning and building respectful relationships with First Nations communities.

Celebrating eight successful years of operations of the expanded Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre and South Wharf precinct. As asset manager for the existing precinct, Plenary Group led the delivery of the $350 million expansion project that included a 20,000-square-metre expansion of MCEC, a 347-room four-star hotel and a 1,150-space multi-level car park. It was the first successful expansion of an operating public-private partnership in the state of Victoria, increasing MCEC’s total size to more than 70,000 square metres, ensuring it remains the leading destination for business tourism and events in Australia. With a 6 Star Green Star Design rating it is also one of the greenest convention centres in the world. The project was delivered on time and on budget, highlighting the value of collaboration between government and the private sector in delivering major infrastructure projects.
