Dr. Karim received his “Doctor of Philosophy” in “Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering” from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo university, Egypt. The thesis titled "Design of a Reconfigurable Analog to Digital Converters and Capacitance to Digital Converters for Sensor Fusion Based IoT Applications”. He received his “Master of Science” in “Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering” from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo university, Egypt. The thesis titled "Ultra Low Power Analog to Digital Converter Using Successive Approximation Register Logic with Voltage Offset Cancellation Technique". He received his Bachelor of Science in “Electronics and Electrical Communications Engineering” from Faculty of Engineering, Cairo university, Egypt. His graduation project titled "Handoff Algorithm using Neural Networks in Terrestrial HAPS Cellular Systems". He joined “The British University in Egypt as a teaching assistant since 2010 where he was recognized as an exemplary model and then appointed as an assistant lecturer and currently as a lecturer.
Dr. Karim attended national and international conferences and published various academic articles in the field of Electronics Engineering. He was certified as a peer reviewer from "Elsevier Researcher Academy" and "Springer Nature Masterclasses". He reviewed many scientific papers for high ranked journals and conferences.
Dr. Karim acts as the main coordinator for students' recruitment team for "Faculty of Engineering" in "The British University in Egypt" since 2021 till present. He participated in organizing faculty’s open days, hands-on activities, camps and school visits. He is a part of the team for NAQAAE accreditation of the “Electrical Engineering Department” in "The British University in Egypt". He acts as a coordinator for the “Electrical Engineering Department”, in alumni, social media and personal tutor committees.
His research fields of interest are: Analog Electronics, Digital Electronics, Embedded Systems, VLSI, DSP, Semiconductor Devices, Sensors, IoT, AI and Data Converters.
