Nous sommes fiers de vous annoncer que l’Hôpital général juif (HGJ) a officiellement été désigné « Centre hospitalier universitaire » (CHU), comme l’a annoncé la ministre de la Santé, Sonia Bélanger. L’Hôpital et la Fondation sont reconnaissants au Gouvernement du Québec et à Santé Québec pour cette reconnaissance officielle. L’HGJ s'appellera désormais le Centre hospitalier universitaire général juif. Le titre signifie que l’HGJ est considéré comme un chef de file dans les domaines des soins spécialisés et ultraspécialisés, de la recherche, de l’enseignement, du transfert des connaissances et de l’innovation. Les patients de l’ensemble du système de santé public provincial bénéficient en effet de l’expertise de l’Hôpital. The CHU designation means that the JGH is regarded as a leader in specialized and ultra-specialized care, research, teaching, knowledge transfer and innovation.
