Here's something I hear consistently from people with disabilities and the professionals who support them: any anxiety around attending an event or travelling has little to do with the visit itself. It's about not knowing what they're walking into. Which entrance has step-free access? How far is the gate from security? Is there a lift, or only escalators? Most venues answer these questions with a PDF floor plan, or they don't answer them at all. That's why I'm excited about what we've built at Mappedin with RealView. It's 360-degree indoor imagery; think Google Street View, but for inside a building. Visitors can preview a venue, spot landmarks, and orient themselves before they ever leave home. For a first-time visitor, someone with anxiety about unfamiliar places, or anyone who prefers to plan ahead, that preview can make all the difference. It turns an unfamiliar environment into one that’s already a little familiar An Australian airport recently told me that the most visited part of their entire website is the indoor map. That wasn’t a surprise. People want to pre-plan. They want to know what to expect before they arrive. RealView helps visitors arrive with confidence before they even step through the door.
