In the Youth Leadership group, we thoroughly studied and applied International Humanitarian Law to a variety of cases, in an attempt to understand its practical application. Over time, we delved into epidemics and child soldiers, learning an ample amount about each subject to be able to hold detailed discussions on them. We presented to junior high school and high school students around Calgary, holding interactive discussions with them to get their minds thinking on the fate of the future. We…
In the Youth Leadership group, we thoroughly studied and applied International Humanitarian Law to a variety of cases, in an attempt to understand its practical application. Over time, we delved into epidemics and child soldiers, learning an ample amount about each subject to be able to hold detailed discussions on them. We presented to junior high school and high school students around Calgary, holding interactive discussions with them to get their minds thinking on the fate of the future. We also organized social events to discuss said issues, bringing together 50-100 people at a time from all walks of life to discuss potential solutions.
