"AI is ready. Most organizations are not." That was the opening statement at our workshop "From AI pilots to AI-empowered organizations: Putting people at the center of transformation" at the AI for Good Global Summit in Geneva, and it set the tone for two hours of honest, experience-driven conversation. Our Eraneos People & AI Study 2026 surveyed 658 people and found a striking paradox: 92% say their work would be disrupted if AI tools disappeared tomorrow, yet 74% discard 40% or more of the AI recommendations they receive. The gap is not technological. It is organizational. Closing it requires value and trust to be co-designed.   We structured the session around four pillars of a successful AI transformation: - Organizational anchoring: AI cannot be delegated. Sustainable impact requires alignment between leadership and workforce, and shared ownership across business and technology. - People empowerment. AI capabilities are built through role-specific learning journeys and on-the-job empowerment, not through one-off training sessions. - Data readiness. AI-ready data is not only clean. It is documented, contextualized and structured so that both humans and AI can reliably understand it. - Process redesign. Most organizations add AI to existing processes. The real value comes from redesigning processes for human-AI collaboration from the ground up, and the difference shows. We heard two stories that brought this to life. A tech project at Boehringer Ingelheim that grew into a full organizational transformation, because the real hurdle was never the platform but shifting human behavior and building trust with the people using it. And a bottom-up hackathon at the Federal Office of Agriculture where 35 employees, one day, and six challenges produced six working solutions. Proof that you don't need complex systems to benefit from AI. You need the right people in the room. Most people are not against AI. They are waiting to be genuinely involved in shaping how it changes their work. That is where transformation actually begins. España integra la IA en el 38% de sus procesos diarios, pero solo el 33% de los profesionales confía en sus decisiones. El estudio People & AI 2026 de Eraneos pone cifras a una brecha que muchas organizaciones aún no han medido: 📊 El 92% de los trabajadores admite que sus operaciones se verían afectadas sin IA, pero solo el 7% de las empresas logra un impacto transformador en todas sus áreas. 📊 El 63% de los directivos cree que existen guías de uso claras. Solo el 25% de los especialistas técnicos comparte esa afirmación. 📊 El 66% de los directivos confía en las decisiones autónomas de la IA. Entre los empleados, ese porcentaje cae al 21%. 📊 Los servicios financieros lideran la adopción de IA en Europa (47% de cobertura), pero su impacto real en ingresos, clientes o talento no destaca frente a sectores con menor adopción. "Las empresas han desplegado la IA con rapidez, pero sin construir el marco de confianza que la sostiene. Sin claridad sobre quién responde de las decisiones de la IA, es muy difícil que los equipos la adopten de verdad", explica Antonio José Rodríguez Méndez, Head of Data & AI de Eraneos Iberia.
