Moonvis and Van Hoorne Studios welcomed a delegation from Shanghai’s Qingpu and the famous Zhujiajiao Tourism District at the Fien & Teun theme park, holiday resort, and headquarters in the Netherlands. We have signed a Memorandum of Understanding and look forward to the next phase of project development in Shanghai.

The books of Fien & Teun have been selected for this summer's official elementary school reading list in China. The list, curated annually by "Zuqing Talk" and "Bai Ban Qian Ren," is widely regarded as the country's go-to benchmark for primary school reading. Polished and updated continuously over the past decade, this reading list has been adopted by thousands of schools nationwide — making this a great achievement!

At the Fien & Teun Forest Farm in Wenzhou, our first theme park in China, in-park entertainment is expanding with new original shows. Recently, one of the brand's star characters, Piglet Sebastian, got its own show at the park.

Fien & Teun were present at this year's Beijing International Book Fair(BIBF). In a special collaboration with EUNIC and the Netherlands Embassy, Fien & Teun — the ever more famous Dutch characters — took the stage with their engaging stories about farm life and the natural world. This week, Fien & Teun will once again take part in China’s most influential book fair, the Beijing International Book Fair(BIBF). Following a successful 2025 edition — where Moonvis hosted a large brand stand — the beloved children's brand from the Netherlands is back. This time, our participation falls under the umbrella of EUNIC (European Union National Institute for Culture) and features an engaging event for children and parents alike.

Meet Mei, a bright and curious six-year-old girl who lives in China. Mei brings a unique cultural perspective to the world of Fien & Teun, enriching the stories with her experiences and traditions. Mei was co-developed by the teams of Moonvis and Van Hoorne Studios and blends perfectly into the Fien & Teun IP – making it more recognizable for audiences across Asia as well! To celebrate her entry into the storyline, a new book, “The Secret Recipe,” was developed – in which Fien, Teun, and Mei compete in a cooking competition. Lots of new content on the way!

One of the things that makes the brand Fien & Teun — internationally known as Fay & Tom — so unique is the lively shows developed around the topic of the origin of food. During the 2026 Shanghai Chongming Kite Festival, we were present — and presented shows to general audiences and business partners who came over to further understand the educational power of the brand.

Moonvis underlined its commitment to nature education by partnering with Shanghai Climate Week. Through its activities and parks in China, particularly with the Fien & Teun brand, Moonvis helps children learn through play about topics such as the origin of food and the natural world.

Moonvis is gearing up for a variety of lively Fien & Teun brand activations this spring in Shanghai. With our presence at the Jing'an Theatre Festival and a branded pop-up park pavilion, Fien & Teun will be accessible to our Shanghai fanbase – and more is coming up in China this year around Holland’s most beloved characters!

Fien & Teun (in English, Fay & Tom) have premiered on Malaysian television. In partnership with TV3, the English-dubbed version of the popular children’s series from the Netherlands is now available to audiences in Malaysia. The APAC distribution, powered by Moonvis, is accelerating, and more announcements will follow shortly.
