Most defense organizations face a massive barrier when trying to scale point-of-need 3D printing: Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) are reluctant to share their digital blueprints. Without strict, automated tracing, OEMs cannot verify the quality or quantity of parts being produced in the field. As a result, critical manufacturing recipes remain trapped on local drives or exposed via insecure USB sticks. In March, the European Defence Agency's flagship capability workshop AM Village–organized alongside members of the EDA Cat B Project "AM for Logistic Support"—demonstrated the scaling maturity of European military AM capabilities. In alignment with the 2023 EU-NATO Joint Declaration, this landmark exercise brought the EDA and NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA) together to explore common interests in cross-border digital inventory sharing via the NATO RAPiD-e repository. 3YOURMIND was proud to be among the select industry partners chosen to operationalize this strategic synergy and test new capabilities. Operating across a local network of servers and nine distinct industrial 3D printers, the team successfully validated three critical breakthroughs alongside 15 EU armed forces: → Offline Sync for Deployed Units: Isolated units accessed validated digital inventories from local servers and automatically synced quality data back to central command once connectivity was restored. → True Allied Interoperability: In a historic milestone, a validated digital asset was securely transferred from the Finnish Defence Forces via an integration with RAPiD-e and printed at a Dutch micro-factory—with zero USB or email vulnerabilities. → Secure Push-to-Print: Qualified print recipes were locked centrally and pushed directly to remote hardware over-the-air, eliminating human error and ensuring complete IP traceability for OEMs. These technical milestones prove that the framework for a secure, cross-border digital supply chain is no longer just a concept, but a practical military capability. 3YOURMIND and Phillips Federal today announced their participation in Naval Postgraduate School CAMRE's distributed advanced manufacturing experiment during the biennial Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) international military exercise taking place around the Hawaiian Islands from June 24 to July 31st. 3YOURMIND and Phillips Corporation will participate through NPS's FLEETWERX PIA to synergize and streamline workload across a distributed joint-force advanced manufacturing network. We’ve just rolled out significant updates to 3YOURMIND in our 26.6 release, focusing on making distributed manufacturing much more practical and secure. If you're managing parts across multiple locations or suppliers, this release addresses a few major roadblocks: Production feasibility at a glance: You can now see exactly which machines, materials, and locations can produce a specific part right from the detail page, skipping the back-and-forth with suppliers. Tighter, role-based security: We've updated our permissions so you can restrict access down to the individual part level—crucial for sensitive defense or corporate inventory. Offline functionality: For field operations, our new hub-and-spoke sync lets teams look up and manage inventory even when they lose their internet connection. More direct printing: We’ve expanded our "Push-to-Print" connectivity to include Prusa machines alongside our existing EOS integration. Last week, 3YOURMIND had the opportunity to participate in FLEET-X at Camp Roberts in Monterey, California, hosted by the Naval Postgraduate School Center for Advanced Manufacturing Research and Education (CAMRE) and  FLEETWERX. 3YOURMIND was able to test and run operational checks on our solution as part of a workflow that demonstrates how critical parts can be identified, manufactured, and delivered in real time.
