BUSUnited Community for upskilling professionals in the design and construction industry — Projektstart Das Projekt „BUILD UP Skills United“ (#BUSUnited) ist offiziell angelaufen. Es wird im Rahmen des LIFE-Programms durchgeführt, läuft von September 2025 bis August 2028 und verfügt über ein Gesamtbudget von 2 Millionen Euro. BUSUnited ist eine Initiative zur Förderung einer europaweiten Arbeitsgemeinschaft von Fachleuten und Experten, deren Ziel es ist, Kompetenzen und Fähigkeiten im Bereich der nachhaltigen Energie bei Fachkräften aus den Bereichen Planung und Bauwesen zu entwickeln. BUSUnited hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, dem dringenden Bedarf an Weiterqualifizierung und Umschulung im Planungs- und Bausektor gerecht zu werden, um die Klima- und Energieziele der EU zu erreichen, darunter den Europäischen Grünen Deal und das Ziel der CO₂-Neutralität bis 2050. Aufbauend auf der Initiative „BUILD UP Skills“, die seit 2011 über 90 Projekte in 32 Ländern gefördert hat, zielt BUSUnited darauf ab, die Kapazitäten der Akteure auf nationaler und EU-Ebene durch Wissensaustausch, sektorübergreifende Zusammenarbeit und gezielte Maßnahmen zum Kapazitätsaufbau zu stärken. Im Rahmen des Projekts werden insgesamt zehn Arbeitsgemeinschaften (#CommunitiesofPractice, CoPs) eingerichtet, welche die wichtigen Bereiche wie den spezifischen Qualifikationsbedarf, nachfrageseitige Mechanismen, innovative Ausbildungsmethoden, die Anerkennung von Qualifikationen, die landesweite Einführung von Qualifikationen, Finanzierungsquellen und europäische Synergien abdecken. Diese Arbeitsgemeinschaften werden den Teilnehmern eine strukturierte Zusammenarbeit ermöglichen und so die Entwicklung praktischer Lösungen sowie den Austausch von Fachwissen im gesamten Planungs- und Bausektor fördern. BUSUnited zielt darauf ab, ein breites Spektrum von Interessengruppen einzubeziehen, darunter über 400 Teilnehmer aus Behörden, Bildungseinrichtungen, der Industrie und Nichtregierungsorganisationen. Im Rahmen des Projekts werden zahlreiche Ergebnisse erarbeitet, darunter Leitfäden, Schulungsmaterialien, Policy Briefs, Finanzierungsempfehlungen und digitale Plattformen zur Verbreitung bewährter Verfahren. PUBLINK Project at the Spanish National Centre for Environmental Education (CENEAM) 🌱⚡ This month, our colleagues at Traza Consultoría took part in a conference on #Communication and Climate Change, organised by the National Centre for Environmental Education (#CENEAM), part of the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (Ministerio para la Transición Ecológica y el Reto Demográfico) 🗣️ They presented the findings of PUBLINK’s sociological study in #Ponferrada, one of the project’s pilot sites, exploring how different social groups understand the energy transition and energy communities. The study provided the starting point for the #Workshop, where participants worked together to explore how to communicate about energy communities across diverse social contexts and how to develop messages and strategies that can engage people with different levels of proximity to energy transition narratives. We continue our Food & Beverage use-case series with an inspiring example from the dairy sector. 🧀 At FrieslandCampina, industrial heat pumps are helping transform the way heat is used in cheese production. By recovering waste heat, upgrading it, and reusing it to produce hot water and steam, the company has significantly improved the efficiency of its production processes. The results speak for themselves: ♻️ Waste heat is recovered instead of being lost 🔥 Heat pumps supply both hot water and steam for industrial processes 📉 CO₂ emissions at the cheese factory have been reduced by one-third This example demonstrates that industrial heat pumps are not only a technology for the future, they are already delivering measurable environmental and operational benefits today.
