We are now officially ISO/IEC 27001:2022 certified! 🎉 The certification covers our entire global organization across EMEA and the Americas, including our Technology & AI advisory services and our proprietary software systems. A mature Information Security Management System (ISMS) is a key consideration when we assess B2B companies in a global private equity and investment context. Information security has also been central to our own work since 2016, across ~1,000 projects. ISO 27001 formalizes that commitment and the standards we apply to our operations. This is particularly important as we complement established deliverables (document-based reports) with a growing range of portal-based solutions for clients. These solutions are part of how we are advancing modern AI & Tech Due Diligence for the global alternative investment industry. Our thanks go to the team at PCG - Public Cloud Group, a portfolio company of NORD Holding UBG mbH (one of our trusted long-term Private Equity clients). In particular, we thank Faraz Hafeez, Oliver Gehrmann, and Pierre Foechterle for their support throughout the process. A sagt muss auch B sagen - ISO 27001 bestanden! Ich habe mich immer gefragt: Was muss ich tun, um endlich keine Werbung mehr auf LinkedIn zu bekommen für die ISO 27001? Lösung: sich darum kümmern 😉 Spaß zur Seite: Wir haben erfolgreich die Zertifizierung nach ISO/IEC 27001:2022 abgeschlossen. Ich bedanke mich sehr für die fleißige Mitarbeit vieler Kollegen, die Ihre Prozesse kritisch hinterfragt und neu dokumentiert haben bzw. auch künftig werden. 🙏 Natürlich ist dieser formelle Nachweis für unsere Geschäftspartner von großer Bedeutung und ein verlässliches Signal für unsere Zusammenarbeit. AI has created a bunch of pseudo “AI experts” who all sound the same. You’ve probably spot them flooding the market, those “experts” whose only qualifications are a few chats with an LLM that told them they were right. I will let you open a dictionary to the term “sycophancy”.  Yes Karen, a dictionary, a book with actual pages. AI also opened the door to AI “solutions” that are vibe coded rather than developed the proper way, and let’s be honest, nowhere close to being secure. The AI race requires AI development to be fast and efficient, but it’s also this speed that hides the biggest IT risks. Big tech is a good example to illustrate that speed and security are rarely built at the same time. I’ll let you guess who’s winning at the moment. This is exactly why we, at NewNow, an AI solutions provider ourselves, decided to do this the hard way & systematically address those risks. Go ISO or go home? Because yes, to support this approach and give our customers greater assurance that our development processes are secured AND compliant, we’re proud to say that we’ve earned our ISO 27001 certification. Through blood, sweat, lack of sleep. And maaaaaybe a few tears. Was it all worth it?  Hell yeah. Barcelona Offsite 2026 🇪🇸 Sometimes, taking a step away from work is one of the best investments you can make in your team. Strong teams are not built only by colleagues working together. Over time, they become people who trust, support, and genuinely enjoy each other’s company. During our days in Barcelona, we shared ideas, created memories, strengthened our bonds, and recharged for the challenges ahead. Although some of our teammates could not join us this time, we missed them and are already looking forward to seeing them at our next offsite. KODIAK IS OFFICIALLY ISO 27001 CERTIFIED! At the end of May, KODIAK officially received its ISO 27001 certification. The certification is an important achievement, as it confirms that KODIAK GmbH’s information security approach is in accordance with the international ISO 27001 standard. Over the past four months, colleagues from across the company worked on documenting, reviewing and further strengthening our Information Security Management System (ISMS). This included processes, responsibilities and controls related to information security risks, confidential information, data integrity and the availability of relevant IT systems. For our clients and partners, ISO 27001 provides independent confirmation that information security at KODIAK is managed in a structured and regularly reviewed way. This is particularly relevant in complex infrastructure projects, where sensitive information is handled every day and reliable processes are essential. Thank you to our ISO core team, Bert Nitsche, Lada Podbelskaya, Christian Knoblich and Wajdi Alkassab and to all colleagues across KODIAK who contributed to this certification.
