Berlin strengthens its role as a global meeting place for freedom and democracy 🕊️ ☮️ We are pleased to welcome the World Liberty Congress to its new European headquarters in #Berlin. Its presence provides important momentum ahead of Berlin Freedom Week, which returns from 7–14 November, and the Berlin Freedom Conference on 10 November, bringing together international activists, civil society organisations, and political decision-makers. We look forward to the conversations, connections and ideas this will bring to our city. #BerlinFreedomWeek #Democracy

Tens of thousands of people came together to celebrate Berlin Pride yesterday – with joy, in peace and united. That joy came to an abrupt end with the terrible incident, which we strongly condemn. We mourn the victims. Our thoughts are with their loved ones and everyone affected. Even in times of grief and violence, Berlin stands together. Hatred will not define us. Fear will not silence us. Our city stands for freedom, openness and peaceful coexistence. 🌈
