We are celebrating the recognition of Maurício Rodrigues, Head of Crop Science for Bayer in Latin America, as Executivo de Valor 2026 in the Agribusiness category, one of Brazil’s most relevant business leadership awards, granted by the newspaper Valor Econômico. This recognition comes at a particularly significant moment for agriculture in the region: Latin America and the Caribbean are the world’s largest food-exporting hub, playing an essential role in global food security. In Brazil, this leadership is also reflected in the numbers. In 2025, Brazilian agribusiness exports reached US$169 billion, representing nearly half of everything the country exported. Behind these numbers are farmers facing the challenges of the field, teams bringing technical knowledge closer to customers, partners helping to scale solutions, and an innovation network connected to science. Today, Bayer announced a new exclusive licensing agreement with RAGT Seeds International that strengthens the foundation for future hybrid wheat innovation and supports our ambition to bring hybrid wheat to farmers in Europe and North America in the early 2030s. Why does this matter? Because wheat remains one of the world's most important crops, and growers need new solutions to help them improve productivity and manage increasingly challenging growing conditions. By combining elite germplasm with Bayer's breeding capabilities, agronomic expertise, and development pipeline, we're taking another important step toward building a leading hybrid wheat franchise.
