  • Menopause is a significant life transition for women that often affects areas of life one least expects — such as quality of sleep or work life — and many women navigate them without the support or information they need. Every woman deserves access to resources that help her feel informed, empowered and heard during this journey. Speak to a healthcare provider to learn more about managing menopause symptoms. #Menopause #WomensHealth #HealthForAll #HungerForNone

  • Meet Adam and the team behind the scenes. 🤖 Every day, they work alongside robots that weigh, store, and sort thousands of substances – making sure our researchers always have what they need, right when they need it. It's the kind of quiet, precise work that keeps science moving forward. And behind every robot? A person who makes it all possible. This is life at Bayer's Compound Library. #HealthforAll #HungerforNone

  • Vasomotor symptoms, such as hot flashes and night sweats, are some of the most common and disruptive symptoms of menopause. Understanding how these symptoms can affect daily life is essential for better management. If you are experiencing symptoms, talk to a healthcare provider to learn more about menopause management. #Menopause #WomensHealth #HealthForAll #HungerForNone

Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) threatens the effectiveness of antibiotics that millions of patients rely on every day and poses a growing challenge to global public health. That's why Bayer is proud to support Wellcome Leap's new Resistance Networks program, a $50 million initiative exploring innovative ways to detect, model, and interrupt the spread of resistance across bacterial networks. By bringing together experts from across disciplines, Resistance Networks aims to unlock new insights that could help extend the effectiveness of existing antibiotics and improve outcomes for patients worldwide. 📅 Abstract submissions are open through July 22, 2026. Abstracts are now open for Resistance Networks, Wellcome Leap’s new $50 million program, with support from Bayer, focused on reducing the threat of antimicrobial resistance (AMR). Antibiotics are one of the foundations of modern medicine. Every year, roughly one in three people worldwide rely on them to treat common bacterial infections. They are also essential for the hundreds of millions who undergo surgery, receive chemotherapy, or need an organ transplant each year. Yet the effectiveness of these life-saving medicines is increasingly threatened as antibiotic resistance continues to spread. AMR is a leading and growing cause of mortality worldwide.  ▪️ In 2021, bacterial infections were associated with 4.71 million deaths, including 1.14 million deaths directly attributable to antibiotic resistance.  ▪️ Without intervention, AMR-attributable deaths across all bacterial pathogens are projected to exceed 1.91 million annually by 2050. The development of new antibiotics is necessary, but it is slow and expensive. Public health and stewardship strategies are helping, but they can’t keep up. What if we could use epidemiological methods to detect, model, design and test interventions that prevent or slow the movement and exchange of resistance in bacterial networks? Resistance Networks asks whether plasmid-mediated transmission of resistance can be measured, modeled, and interrupted. This could avert 133,000 deaths a year from resistant E. coli and Klebsiella by 2050 – just by slowing resistance growth to today’s antibiotics. Applied at scale, the payoff compounds: longer-lasting antibiotics, across more pathogens, more lives saved. Abstracts due: 22 July 2026 at 11:59pm ET Learn more:https://lnkd.in/gNCvWuGi

From Silicon Valley to Berlin. 🌎 We’re excited to welcome Phinomics to Bayer Co.Lab Berlin. As the first US-founded company to establish its European footprint at our Berlin site, this marks a new milestone for our community, and one that reflects exactly what we set out to build.  Our Berlin site is a #launchpad into Europe: space to work, close proximity to Bayer, and a strong ecosystem, so international teams can hit the ground running from day one. Phinomics has built a proprietary multi-omics platform centered on expanding the observable universe of measurable biology, starting with the #Circulome: extrachromosomal circular DNA, an emerging driver of cancer biology. By combining previously hidden layers of biology with AI, the team aims to uncover novel disease mechanisms and therapeutic targets. From Bayer Co.Lab Berlin, Phinomics will work with partners to move these discoveries towards clinical validation - with one of Europe’s most concentrated life science ecosystems on the doorstep. A warm welcome to Massa Shoura, Stephen Levene, Guido Mathews, and the entire Phinomics team. We’re glad to have you as part of the Co.Lab community and look forward to supporting your journey from Berlin.
