Information and Communications Technology Asset Management System
Main Article Content
Abstract
This capstone project presents the Information and Communications Technology Asset Management System (ICTAMS), a web-based platform designed to modernize ICT inventory management at the Philippine Military Academy. The project addresses the limitations of fragmented, manual asset records, including delayed reporting, limited visibility into item location and condition, and weak traceability of asset movements. ICTAMS centralizes asset data and integrates real-time inventory updates, QR code-based item tracking, report generation for ICT Property, Plant and Equipment (ICTPPE) and ICT Semi-Expendable Property (ICTSemEx), readiness-related reporting, role-based access control, audit trails, low-stock alerts, and advanced search capabilities. Built as a responsive web-based system supported by PHP/Laravel, MySQL/MariaDB, secure authentication, and SSL/TLS protection, the system is intended to improve accountability, operational transparency, and evidence-based decision-making. Its localized design addresses the strict security, hierarchy, and readiness requirements of a military academy while maintaining scalability for future enhancements. Overall, ICTAMS demonstrates how a tailored digital asset management solution can strengthen resource monitoring, reduce manual errors, support audit compliance, and enhance the operational preparedness of the Philippine Military Academy.
