A major milestone for #TUIRiverCruises 🚢💙 For the very first time, TUI Luzia, our first purpose built river cruise ship, has officially touched water following her float-out at the Kladovo Shipyard in Serbia. With this exciting milestone, she's now one step closer to welcoming guests in summer 2027, when she'll begin sailing the River Douro in Portugal. 🇵🇹 A huge thank you to our partner at Concordia Damen Shipbuilding and everyone involved in bringing this exciting project to life. We can't wait to welcome our first guests on board. Have you ever explored a destination by river? Let us know in the comments. ⬇️

Making the most of the food we already have 🍽️ Food waste is one of hospitality's most tangible sustainability challenges. That's why we're working towards reducing food waste on our cruise ships and in our own and managed hotels by 25% by 2030 compared with the FY2024 baseline, while maintaining the quality, variety and experience our guests know and love. Our teams are finding practical solutions: AI-powered technology in TUI BLUE hotels helps identify which buffet offerings are left behind, enabling us to adjust buffets accordingly, while other hotels offer surplus food to colleagues. In Kiel, Mein Schiff has launched regular food donations to the Kieler Tafel so surplus products can support the local community. These are just a few examples of the many initiatives underway across our business to tackle food waste. Together, they support our shared goal of making smarter use of food and reducing waste. 💡 💬 How do you think food waste could be further reduced in hospitality? Let us know in the comments.

Some people collect souvenirs … Christina collects recipes. ✈️ As a TUI fly Cabin Crew member based in Munich, Christina Fink has spent years helping customers start their holidays with a smile. But once she leaves the aircraft, another passion takes over: cooking. Inspired by flavours from around the world, she loves discovering new recipes wherever she travels. She enjoys exploring local markets, chatting with locals and bringing home new ideas. That passion even led her to take part in the German TV cooking competition Küchenschlacht on ZDF. She impressed renowned chefs and secured an incredible third place in the annual final. Christina's story shows how to combine a career with the passions that make you who you are. 💙 What passion outside of work has shaped who you are today? 👇 📷 Gregor Schläger

Sixty years of creating holiday memories at TUI 🎉✈️ When Ellen Davies started selling holidays in 1966, the moon landing was still three years away. Today, sixty years later, she's still doing what she loves. At 77, Ellen continues to help customers plan their perfect holidays, having spent six decades guiding generations of families on everything from beach holidays to cruises. She's seen the travel industry transformed by computers, the internet, e-tickets and, more recently, AI. But one thing has never changed: her passion for helping people create unforgettable memories. Many of Ellen's UK customers have been booking with her for decades, with some families returning generation after generation for her trusted advice and expertise. 🗺️ Ellen says: "I still love it as much today as I did on my first day in 1966." We're proud to congratulate Ellen on this milestone and thank her for six decades of dedication to our customers, colleagues and the travel industry. 💙
