Demo server

Want to see what your own Matrix server would feel like before you order? Take ours for a spin.

The demo is a full Matrix server with the extra components bolted on, minus a few things we’ve locked down so nobody burns it to the ground.

Limitations¶

• Data retention is 1 day: all data is deleted after 1 day, including accounts, rooms, messages, and files.
• No admin access: you can try to use user-level features, but you cannot change server settings.
• Not all features and components are enabled: some features and components are disabled to prevent abuse.
• No guarantees: the server is provided as-is, and we do not guarantee its availability or performance.
• No support: we do not provide support for the demo server.

Access¶

Matrix¶

The demo server lives at https://demo.etke.host.

Unlike the servers we set up for customers, this one runs open registration, so you’ll need to register an account and confirm your email first. That email step is there to keep the spammers out.
