On this day, participating museums plan creative events and activities aligned with the annual theme, engage with their audiences, and highlight the important role museums play as institutions that serve society and its development. Each year, ICOM’s Advisory Committee proposes a socially relevant theme, enabling museums to present achievements, address challenges, and emphasise their role in society. This shared focus allows museums worldwide to amplify their message through collective action. May is the month in which the whole of Bosnia and Herzegovina celebrates museums, institutions that represent a vital part of the country’s culture and identity. The largest museum event in Bosnia and Herzegovina, International Museum Day and the European Night of Museums, began in 2006. This year marks the 20th anniversary of its celebration in the country. The initiative started modestly but with great enthusiasm, following the official establishment of ICOM Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Goranka Horjan presents the results of the survey during the project meeting in Venice. 8 9 • ICLCM focuses on sustainable approaches to heritage man- agement and the integration of cultural and natural assets into community life. • ICOM Croatia and ICOM Bosnia and Herzegovina co-ordinate on-site training events and engage local museum professionals and media. • ICOM SEE supports online dissemination of results. • The Museum of Ancient Glass (Zadar) and Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia provide assistance in finding local venues, logistical support, and contextual case studies on the impact of tourism on heritage sites. This collaborative structure embodies the principle of "leadership through cooperation", strengthening cross-border professional networks and reinforcing ICOM's mission of inclusivity and shared learning. * Adriano Rigoli is ICOM-ICLCM Chairman and the President of the National Association of Houses of Memory (Italy) 12 13 * Pietroluigi Genovesi is the Head of MUVE Academy and MUVE Education at Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia Many visitors, for example, emphasize that they appreciate being accompanied during the tour by a guide. As professionals, they share heritage stories with the wider public so they prefer guided tours for better insight and experience. In case of educational tools present in museum displays, almost all visitors notice them and report them as added value, especially if they are interactive or intended for the involvement of young children.

I am delighted to say that the conference filled our museum community with new strength and energy. Unfortunately, not all the members were able to attend it, as our region still struggles with many economic and political issues. With this in mind, it is safe to say that the goals of the conference have been achieved. We gained new knowledge and a wealth of great ideas, and most importantly, we widened our network, met colleagues and made friends. I am also very thankful to the ICOM SEE Vice Chair Lidija Milašinović, director of the Kikinda National Museum, for her friendly welcome in Kikinda, and to her dedicated colleagues, who participated, offered all the help and made us feel warmly welcomed. Mitigating Risks in Conflicts and Crises" lead by ICOM SEE. After being partners in several project, mostly dedicated to improving leadership and governance in different world regions, we successfully completed the project. I would also like to spotlight the engagement and hard work of the ICOM SEE Secretary, Urška Purg. She did most of the co-ordinating and reporting, so I am immensely grateful for her dedication to the ICOM SEE community. The power of our RA ICOM SEE lies in our network -in all the members that have been supporting this initiative since 2005, and shaping the programmes and projects ever since. Many thanks to everyone involved in preparing this year's ICOM SEE News. I hope you will enjoy reading it and please do promote it and present it to your colleagues and the general public.

With the protective measures in place, museums around Bosnia and Herzegovina set up and ran a number of digital projects and activities aimed at ensuring uninterrupted access to cultural heritage and staying in contact with their audiences. Many of these virtual events were not only followed by house-ridden arts and culture aficionados, but were also supported and promoted by the media.

Do osnivanja prvog fotografskog udruženja u Bosni i Hercegovini dolazi kasnije nego u susjednim zemljama, a prvo fotografsko udruženje u Bosni i Hercegovini osnovano je 1910. godine pod nazivom Udruženje profesionalnih fotografa.
