Unwanted pregnancy and abortion have been important issues in Thailand for several decades. Even though the Thai government provides a number of policies to mitigate and eliminate this situation, unwanted pregnancies and abortions have not decreased. There are many women, especially young women, who have suffered from discriminatory experiences due to unwanted pregnancy; many of them therefore decide to have unsafe abortions and many of these have died and/or suffered from sepsis and hemorrhage. Unwanted pregnancy and abortion in Thailand is related to many factors and all social members have to cooperate and work together to sustainably solve the problem.

Almost all students in Thailand from elementary school through the university level are required to wear a uniform, and it's been shown that this regulation can bring about a lowered sense of selfesteem among LGBT [Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender] students whose gender preferences and sexual orientations are different. There are few educational institutes that allow students to dress as they like, sometimes specifically in order to support LGBT students' human rights (although some institutes do not require the policy for other reasons). However, conservative activists and educators have continued to support to maintain a strict uniform policy, even though the policy can have a negative effect on the self-confidence of LGBT students. This paper looks at some interviews and studies with LGBT students, teachers, educators and experts in relevant professions, and supports the notion that it is a better practice to have a uniform-free policy in order to promote the rights of LGBT students in Thailand. The main theory and concept used for situational analysis in this paper is C.R. SIPABIO -a conflict analysis model developed by Dr. Amr Abdalla -a professor in Peace Studies, University for Peace, Costa Rica.

BePeace is the concept created by Rita Maria Johnson, founder of Rasur Foundation International, USA. It proposes how to address problematic situations and build peace by using specific principles, such as Heart Math and Non-Violent Communication. BePeace can be practiced everywhere and does not require many resources for practicing. With BePeace, people can effectively deal with the problems before going to consult with social workers. Consequently, BePeace can decrease workload of social workers. In national level, BePeace concept is in line with Buddhist principles and can be applied well to Thai people. In international level, BePeace is a significant option to bring about sustainable development; especially, community harmony and emotional development.

Like other developing countries, Thailand has a number of social problems damaging citizen in assorted dimensions and one of important troubles happening to Thai society right now is the difference between people living in rural and urban areas. The factor playing a noteworthy role on such difference is the level of accessibility to information and communication technology [ICT]. Basically, people staying in urban areas or big cities can easily access to ICT while those living in rural ones cannot. That incident is what we call "digital gap" or "digital divide".

The emergence of ASEAN Economic Community in 2015 will come up with both positive and negative impacts. One of predictable negative impacts is the growth of health problems such as unwanted pregnancies and tobacco-related diseases which is from the no restriction on people and product transportation across the country members. Together with strengthening current model, social workers and social service providers have to find some new and alternative model to work for their clients which may be more based on AEC 2015. For women living with unwanted pregnancies and tobacco-related diseases, discrimination is still important issue to concern on while working with them. However, some difficulties such as language barrier may happen after the establishment on AEC 2015. Social workers have an opportunity to work with clients who may speak different languages. However, communication through interpreter may not be always possible and successful as long as the discrimination is still remaining. To deescalate the discrimination against women and language difficulties, nonviolent communication is recommended communication model social service providers and social workers can apply to their working principles for more effective assistance to their clients.

Simulation is well-known terminology in computer sciences and technology. Currently, simulation becomes one of study platforms in business and political sciences. The negotiation simulation is a popular platform applied into business and international trade. In political sciences, simulation has been used for indicating students how to implement the negotiation and mediation between or among stakeholders at all levels; especially, international level. In addition, Peace Studies also apply simulation to develop knowledge and skill of learners on peace negotiation. Simulation can indicate instructors know level of understanding, skill and knowledge of learners in the fields; on the other hand, learners can develop and sharpen skill and knowledge by practicing simulation. The simulation has a close relationship with role-play; however, the important difference among those is the solution finding. In role-play, learners merely express situations without trying to find out the solutions while they are assigned to find out solution in simulation. In Faculty of Social Administration, undergraduate students are assigned to do role-play to express the problematic situations in the society at the time and they are supposed to effectively develop their skill and knowledge on social work by doing simulation. In general, the simulation can be designed for either one-day or one-week long, in either small or big issue, and students from freshman to senior year can join the simulation to share their different skill to others on the same issues. Due to well blending with role-play, simulation can make students more cheerful and help to memorize what they have learnt more than traditional one-way teaching. Simulation is a new platform of social work learning that can make students confident, professional and skillful social workers, which is the main purpose of institute.

To survive in the capitalized society, the Concept of Social Capital becomes a main idea that local communities use. In brief, the social capital is focusing on the transformation from the abstract matter like culture, to the concrete matter like products and services. In addition, under the concept of social capital, local communities can utilize their cultural objects for the tourist and the economic purposes.

The number of LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender) citizens in Thailand has continuously increased yet many of them do not receive comprehensive and adequate social welfare support for their basic needs. According to Chanwalee Srisukoh (MD) (2012; cited in Thai Health Foundation 2012) 6% of the Thai population or about 3.5 million people are identified as LGBT.

Social justice lawyering in Bangladesh has significantly transformed over the last few decades. Sustained authoritarian regimes in Bangladesh during 1971-1990 severely impaired independence of key institutions like the judiciary. With democratic transition imminent in 1990, lawyers played a significant role in consolidating judicial independence and leading the democratic movement. This article examines their contributions to the development of PIL and argues that although social justice lawyers emerged as strong actors during the democratization process, their traditional role has been largely marginalized due to significant politicization of the bar and the rise of other actors in this foray, including an increasingly activist judiciary and a vibrant community of NGOs. However, within this transformed space, social justice lawyers are assuming new patterns of practice with a view to enhancing access to justice for the largely impoverished citizenry. In making these claims, the article further argues for a historical, contextual and culture-specific understanding of social justice lawyering in developing countries like Bangladesh.

Tobacco companies continue to conduct fake CSR as a tactic to undermine the ban on tobacco advertising, promotions and sponsorship. To circumvent the ban, they use their own foundations to fund and advertise these activities. This report provides the latest information on which organisations in the ASEAN region the top 4 tobacco companies have targeted to front their so-called charities.

The paper examines the legitimacy of customary international law on three merits: Legal, Moral, and Social Legitimacy. The paper starts with the examination of the definition of legitimacy. Considering the difficulties in the creation of a unified definition the paper divides the legitimacy into the three mentioned merits. The paper concludes that CIL in certain circumstances can be considered as legally illegitimate as it breaches the notions of consent and sovereignty. However, CIL is morally and socially legitimate due to its benefits for the development of international law and overall popular acceptance.

Non-state actors (NSA) have played several roles to promote human rights and prevent violations against human rights. Generally, NSA have interaction with state players, such as government agencies and officials either through cooperation, investigation or both. However, NSA have been facing various challenges, especially ones related to social, cultural and economic concerns. This paper provides a discussion of the definition of NSA, important roles related to human rights issues, and significant challenges and recommendations for NSA, particularly, in the case of Thailand.

This paper aims to examine if the difference of legal traditions make different corporate governance regimes for protecting interest of listed family enterprises' shareholders through evaluating and comparing corporate governance regimes in the Greater China region, including Hong Kong, Taiwan and Mainland China. The result is consistent with the LLSV paper, i.e. common law tradition constitute better corporate governance regime. We also find that countries with civil law traditions can be enhance the quality of the corporate governance regime through legal and financial reforms, and through adopting some measures which is commonly found in companies govern by common law tradition.

This paper aimed at seeking the new leadership model in the 21st century by reviewing different leadership theories and discussing key elements. The four-layer model which is established based on different leadership theories equips leaders with ethical and flexible leadership for coping with the fickle, complex and crisis-prone context in the 21st century through our case study.
