The Informal Meeting of EU Environment and Climate Ministers has concluded following two days of constructive discussions on Europe’s climate and environmental priorities. Hosted by Ireland as part of our Presidency of the Council of the European Union, Ministers and delegates exchanged views on decarbonisation and competitiveness, Europe’s global environmental leadership, and the role of the circular economy in building a more resilient Europe. A sincere thank you to the many colleagues across the Department of Climate, Energy and the Environment who worked tirelessly behind the scenes to deliver a successful meeting, alongside partners across Government. The public consultation on Ireland’s next National Food Waste Prevention Roadmap (2026–2028) is open.
