Among these, the role of tourist guides remains crucial, as they act as cultural ambassadors representing destinations and nations. The primary objective of this study is to explore the applications of AI in developing intelligent audio-visual tour guides and assistive devices that enhance tourists’ real-time experiences at heritage sites, tourist attractions, and places of archaeological significance. The research adopts a qualitative approach, utilising secondary data gathered from academic literature, printed and electronic resources, online databases, and expert opinions from tourism professionals. The collected data were analysed thematically to identify trends and applications of AI in tour guiding and tourism services. The analysis was further supported by the use of MS Office and Python-based AI tools for organising and presenting results through tables and visual representations. The findings reveal that AI-driven solutions such as virtual assistants, smart audio-visual guides, and context-aware recommendation systems can significantly improve the quality and accessibility of guiding services. These innovations not only enrich visitor experiences but also contribute to sustainable destination management. The study has important social and industrial implications, suggesting pathways for integrating AI technologies into the professional practices of tour guides. It also provides a well-defined roadmap for future research and development of AI-based tour guiding systems aimed at enhancing cultural interpretation and visitor engagement.

The ash and sulphurdioxide plume, rising nearly 14 km and dispersing across continents, highlights the capacity of volcanic activity to perturb atmospheric systems, affect air quality, and pose risks to public health, agriculture, and aviation. Situated within the East African Rift and the "cradle of humankind," the eruption evokes reflections on human vulnerability, resilience, and our relationship with the dynamic Earth. While the event does not inherently signal an existential decline, it serves as a wake-up call for enhanced geological monitoring, climate-risk integration, and sustainable development planning. Interpreted responsibly, Hayli Gubbi underscores both the fragility of human systems and the opportunity to strengthen preparedness, environmental stewardship, and adaptive capacity in the face of natural forces.

It is one type of Indirect Destination Marketing Techniques(IDMT) that promotes destinations at large through gaining popularity and benefits in induced way. The most important factor in such type of tourism is participation of a large number of people that mainly consists of academician, executives working in industries, businessman and young students. A good amalgam of knowledge base due to which mouth to mouth marketing becomes easy and fast. Most of such conferences are followed by cultural/nature tour of local destination. Even during conference cultural programmes like folk songs, folk dance, folklores or any other forms of local indigenous culture of that area has to be showcased. A kind of ethnic food festivals-cum-craft fairs are organised which is very common. The organisers of such conferences charged a good amount as participation fees from every participants; provision of bringing spouse is made available by paying discounted fee; and foreign nationals charged in foreign currency. Delegates and participants required accommodation with food which is also arranged by organisers by paying extra amount or else included in fees. That way it provides opportunities for local vendors and service providers to earn money and further opens the door of employment opportunities as well as basic infrastructure development in the areas.
