Leader in Alpha-Emitter Intratumoral Radiotherapeutics
עלינו
Alpha Tau Medical (https://www.alphatau.com/) focuses on research, development and commercialization of Alpha DaRT (Diffusing Alpha-Emitters Radiation Therapy) for the treatment of solid cancer tumors. Initially developed at Tel Aviv University, Alpha DaRT was shown to be effective and safe for treating different types of cancer in multiple animal studies. The company is running its first clinical trial in several sites in the EU and is currently commencing clinical trials at over 55 leading cancer centers worldwide. Alpha DaRT Breakthrough Cancer Treatment Alpha DaRT enables high-precision alpha radiation for all types of solid tumors. The treatment is delivered by inserting with Radium-224 impregnated seeds into the tumor. When the Radium decays, its short-lived daughters are released from the seed, disperse into the tumor and emit high-energy alpha particles which destroy the tumor. Since the alpha-emitting atoms hardly diffuse in healthy tissue, the Alpha DaRT mainly affects the tumor, sparing the healthy tissue around it. Alpha DaRT has several important advantages: • Highly potent and conformal • Proven efficacy for all solid tumors tested • Enhances systemic anti-tumor immune response • Effective regardless of tumor oxygen level • Short half-life – quick clinical outcome • No known negative systemic effects • Single-session treatment • Enables combination with other therapies or reapplication • Disposable applicators - does not require capital equipment or special shielding

Alpha Tau Medical Successfully Treats First #Immunocompromised Patient with Recurrent Cutaneous Squamous Cell Carcinoma (#cSCC) in its #ADMIRE Study at Banner MD Anderson Cancer Center ❇️ The ADMIRE study, by treating immunocompromised patients, builds on the momentum of Alpha Tau's ReSTART pivotal trial for recurrent cSCC, which recently completed patient enrollment, under which the Banner MD Anderson team, led by Dr. Samuels, has also treated multiple patients ❇️ Immunocompromised patients face dramatically higher rates of cSCC, the second most common type of skin cancer in the U.S., than the general population - as much as 65- to 100-fold among organ transplant recipients specifically ❇️ For many patients in this population, the general treatment options for recurrent cSCC can actually cause real harm: checkpoint inhibitor immunotherapy, the standard option for the general population, carries a documented risk of triggering rejection of a transplanted organ - For full PR - check the first comment

At #AHNS2026 in Boston, Alpha Tau Medical will share new results evaluating #AlphaDaRT® in combination with #pembrolizumab in patients with locally advanced or metastatic head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (#HNSCC). The abstract has been selected for presentation during the Proffered Papers session on Radiation and Adjuvant Therapies, where Prof. Aron Popovtzer, MD, will present the findings on Tuesday, July 21, between 10:30 AM-12:00 PM. We will also be hosting a dedicated event for leading head and neck surgeons on Monday, July 20, and our team will be on-site with a booth and head and neck procedure demo throughout the conference. We look forward to meaningful conversations in Boston and to sharing what we believe is an important step forward for Alpha DaRT in head and neck cancer. More to come.

Can #AlphaDaRT outsmart the liver's tolerance for tumors? Nature’s Scientific Reports journal recently published a preclinical study of the immune-activating effects of Alpha DaRT®, using a unique model designed to capture what actually happens when a colorectal tumor sits inside the liver. We sat down with Dr. Oran Zlotnik, Dr. Vered D. , and Ronen Segal to talk through what they discovered, and why it matters. The liver is a rare organ in the body whose function is to clear the body from toxins, so naturally it lowers its radar against foreign invaders, making it easier for them to hide and grow. So when a tumor forms in the liver, the body’s natural immune response to fight the tumor is relatively weak. Colorectal cancer exploits exactly this weakness when it spreads to the liver, which is a major reason immunotherapy so often fails there. What the recent study shows is that even inside this immune-suppressed environment, a single intratumoral Alpha DaRT source still activated the immune system. Tumors shrank threefold in just 7 days, the surrounding healthy liver tissue stayed intact, and at the tumor's border, the immunosuppressive macrophages that normally block immune access were significantly reduced, while cancer-killing T cells moved in. Just as important: this is the first time the Alpha DaRT has been shown in an orthotopic model that actually replicates the disease. Most colorectal liver metastasis research, even when it's technically "colorectal," is actually done using tumors grown under the skin. This study used a tumor growing inside the liver itself, in its real immune environment, because there’s no better way to know if this actually works where it matters. This research could potentially unlock a new way of treating the particularly challenging case of colorectal metastases in the liver. For the full interview - check the first comment

“𝑴𝒚 𝒖𝒏𝒆𝒙𝒑𝒆𝒄𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒋𝒐𝒖𝒓𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝒐𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒘𝒂𝒚 𝒕𝒐 𝒄𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒄𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆𝒓 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒔’ 𝒍𝒊𝒗𝒆𝒔.” 𝘈𝘭𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘳𝘦 "𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘪𝘬𝘦" 𝘚𝘵𝘢𝘶𝘣𝘦𝘳 The most unexpected journeys often lead to the most important work happen when a physicist sits next to a clinician, when an engineer challenges a researcher, when a marketing mind asks the question a scientist forgot to ask. At Alpha Tau Medical, this is exactly how we work - physicists, R&D teams, engineers, clinical experts, and business minds, all advancing #AlphaDaRT® from a single shared belief: that the hardest problems in cancer treatment demand every perspective at the table. But diversity of discipline is only part of the story. What truly sets a team apart is diversity of background, not just what people know, but who they are and where they came from. Life experience shapes intuition. Uncommon paths produce uncommon thinking. And it is that combination, of expertise and lived experience, that we believe makes Alpha Tau one of the most exciting clinical-stage oncology companies today. This week, a major Israeli news outlet featured the story of our own, Alexandre "Shaike" Stauber, and it is a story that captures this spirit perfectly. Educated in a strict system without any formal scientific curriculum, Shaike encountered elementary mathematics for the first time at the age of 29. He went on to study physics at Hebrew University, and today is an integral part of the team bringing Alpha DaRT® into oncology wards around the world. Shaike's journey is extraordinary by any measure. But at Alpha Tau, it is also deeply familiar, because this is the kind of person, and the kind of story, we are proud to be built from. Shaike, we are proud to have you with us. 🩵 💙 🩵 For the full article - check the first comment
